  • Good job. Be honest. How many times did you try flaring the line until it came out right? I'm trying to flare a couple of ends on my '87 Olds, and I have to repeat the process 3 or 4 times before the flared end looks good.

  • @1PossumJenkins Thanks! I must admit, we did practice before the video.

  • you should of taken a file and filed down the end of the tube at 1:32

  • @NerdForMIT Thanks.

  • i had the exact same brake failure on my f150

  • @THEJBUDS It seems to be a common issue.

  • whoa!!! first thing you did was use that tubing bender backwards. you need to familiarize yourself with the correct use of a handheld tubing bender!

  • @callmenort LOL You are the first one to catch that. We are much more "familiar" with it now.

  • just wondered why you put union on first video and not replace whole line from proportion valve to t valve on rear? great video!

  • @wooper007 It was just easier to do it that way. Thanks for the comment!

  • good vid bro

  • @marchm78 Thanks for the comment!

  • cool

  • @hp11208 Thanks!

  • wow! you did a very very nice job! that brake line was from advance auto parts right? what is it coated with?

  • @dnl5649 Yes, the line was from Advanced Auto. I don't know what the coating is though.

  • ED!! thanks for the videos, I learned alot real quick,, 1 question? how do u manage to stay soooo clean??lol..nm..thanks for the time and education..

  • Thanks for watching! Sometimes I wear gloves, sometimes I wash before each shoot to keep the camera, but a lot of the time if you take a good look at my helper... he does the dirty work lol.

  • I would recommend that use armor on the brake line to protect from road crap( rocks.ect.

    Nice vids

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • where did you buy the flaring set?

  • Autozone

  • Thanks Edz, good video and info

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • The flaring tool you show in the beginning is the autozone one and is junk, I did 2 cars with it before the anvil got loose and started driving at an angle. Where did you get the good flaring tool you actually used in the video?

  • I bought the AZ tool only for the inserts to make the double flare. The good tool is an old one my Dad gave me. It's a much better made tool and works so much better.

  • Yeah I can tell, it's deffinetly an experienced tool. You should hit up Napa or Robbins? they might be Federated auto parts now, they stock just the flaring adapters for a couple bucks.

  • Thanks, I did go to Napa before AZ, but they were out of the adapters at the time I needed them.
