To make of claim of a "CURE" requires evidence. A supplement company is free to do that. The FDA isn't stopping them, the lack of evidence is. And it's cheaper and easier to sell their "dietary supplements" without doing the research.

Also, there is nothing wrong with treating symptoms either; or in your words "masking" them. You're just treating symptoms when you take a Tylenol, use a warm compress, or pop a cough drop.

Right, you go on ahead and take your chemicals, and give them to your unfortunate children. Btw, when a warning light goes off on the dash of your car, do you just take out the bulb because the symptom annoys you?

Meanwhile, I'll take zinc supplements when I feel a cold coming on, and I'll boost my vitamin D, rather than take injections of Thimerasol and Formaldehyde.

God, conspiracy theorists at it again.

The FDA allows nutrition supplement companies to peddle their products as "dietary supplements." The idea behind it is to protect the public from things like quacks that claim vitamin X will do Y. If you have evidence for efficacy, you can call it a drug and market it as such.  If not, it's just a supplement, simple as that.

If you want to talk "Proof" how about the PROOF of how corrupt the FDA is, and PROOF that their main concern is lining their pockets with Big Pharma's bribes, thusly allowing into the marketplace barely tested medications that hurt and even KILLED people.

VIOXX was implicated in the deaths of at least 60 THOUSAND People.

Vioxx, although initially promising as a COX inhibitor, was removed from the market by the FDA because evidence pointed to an increase incidence of sudden cardiac death. By the way, the "60,000" number was extrapolated from research done BY THE FDA on the drug after initial reports of the drug's adverse effects.

The "Norm" is never right: look at thalidomide with the disfigured people it produced! This is a LIVE vaccine which the polio vaccine killed as many patients as vaccinated!!!

Mercola finally said that he would not personally recommend vaccinations for his family. I don't remember reading anything that he has posted on the site that actually said that.

Dr. Larry says that as a physician he is not to influence parents about vaccinating. Just give them facts and let them decide. Parents don't want to spend hours studying vaccines. That's why they go to the doctor. He is supposed to tell them what to do. This guy isn't willing to take a stand.

It is a responsibility of a parent to make a well-informed decision regarding child's immunization. Doctor's job is to provide parents with reliable info -pros and cons- regarding choices. It does take time to learn about your choices.. Parent has to make a decision. It takes 30-60 min to talk to a good doc or to navigate a book with reviews on studies regarding vaccination. The kid is worth is. Really.

It is a responsibility that is more and more being taken away from the parents. The pressure on parents to innoculate their children is tremendous. Many parents write that they were "fired" as patients because they refused vaccinations. Another woman wrote to say that her baby had been innoculated at the hospital without her consent. Most doctors do not present real pros and cons. They basically say that the chances that your child will get sick and die are much higher without the vaccinations.

you are correct. We have a health care crisis here, and this is just another manifestation. Parents o have a right to fire a doctor for being narrow-minded and not being able to hear parental concerns, not willing to be respectful to their wishes. Doctor is not a God, but a person serving them, anf should be fired for being rigid, stupid, arrogant, incompetent or dishonest. I do vaccinate, but very carefully - tetanus for sure, the rest is up to the parent. Yes, I did not vaccinate my kids .

@drlutskovsky Well done! The tetanus shot is however like all other vaccines useless, unnecessary and dangerous. Just practice proper wound care and give homeopathic Ledum 30 in case of a suspect wound.
