Benn supported the Argentine during the Falklands war, he is acting true to type here. Pity his party conference wasn't bombed instead of the conservative one in 1984, if his wife had been killed, if his colleagues had been maimed for life, if one of his children had been kneecapped for saying the wrong thing.
