  • You're right, there's skipping — but it's because I edited the video, which was shot in-camera at 24fps, in Final Cut Express... Which doesn't do 24p. I used a 25fps timeline to get as close as possible, which makes the video skip once a second as a frame is repeated.

  • These shots aren't that smooth, I can see some skipping. And I know its not my internet connection. I think sliders with hand cranks or servos work better.

  • @LuckyBambooExpert the person just said it above if you actually READ the comments.

FCE uses a 25 fps timeline so it adds an extra frame which in turn creates that momentary weirdness.

  • What frame rate did you shoot the opening clip with??

  • @TheMaxonFilms 24, but edited in 25 because of Final Cut Express' limitations.

  • JUST PERFECT!!!

  • @stembridgemill

This is awesome! I'm just starting out with DSLR film-making etc. I'm currently researching applications for color correction and editing. Mostly interested in Magic Bullet Mojo and FCE. I spoke with Red Giant and they say there's no plug-in for FCE. How were you able to get the two to work? What was your workflow?

  • @27After2 Hehe.... You're not the first one to ask that! Mojo works perfectly fine with FCE; I've used it quite a bit. I asked Red Giant about it, and they said that many of their plugins do in fact work with FCE, but they don't test them in it, and therefore don't officially support it.

  • @SundlunHD Thanks!

  • @SundlunHD Final Cut Express CC + Magic Bullet Mojo + Vignette

  • great video ...

  • Does the glidetrack SD come with the fluidhead? Or does it just come with the track alone?

  • @AurianTitan Just the track.

  • @AurianTitan so theres no elevated platform to put on the plate of the glidetrack for the camera to rest on? or the camera is resting on the sliding plate?

  • @AurianTitan It's best to use a tripod head on the track plate, and the camera on that...

  • Please tell me the name of the song! It's so amazing!

  • @1GoRushka "Parting of the Ways, Part 2" by Kevin MacLeod

  • is the 24p?

  • @nobeefbaby Shot in 24p, but edited in 25 as Final Cut Express does not allow 24fps.
