  • ehh just place the corner here, bring this here, and there ya go.

  • Go tell that to Feliks Zemdegs who hold the world record of solvoing the Rubik's Cube at 5.66 seconds. And he uses the Frindrich method.

  • This is mostly for people that know how to do it its just practicing being faster now if you're learning from this video good luck not gonna understand that much though.

  • You were just showing off

  • you need to fix the links cuz they dont work anymore

  • intro is kinda funny :D

  • nice

     boss

  • to fast for meh :(

  • what about if i am already 20-25 seconds?

  • BADMEPHISTO!!!!!

  • i can't get the R U R' (U R U' R') x 5 to work, it just goes back into the original form

  • @blackzabbathfan it shoul be done x3

  • @hhhkingofkings888 thank you

  • the note cards were a great idea, i could learn full fredrich in a couple of study halls

  • I am able to get the first two layers in about a minute. How long do you think it will take to bring that down to sub-20??

  • @cheatmasterbw i've been doing intermediate for a couple of moths now and i was only able to get sub-30 twice, i wanna guess three months

  • thrawst in my opinion has the best tips but not a good teacher badmephisto is a reazlly good teacher but not realy good tips i get tips from thrawst and taught by badmephisto

  • aw this video really sux i dont even get the other vids and only a kid doing it i got how its done man you dont know how to teach. V^^

  • what cubes are you using in that video???

  • @alfredaxl392 rubik's cubes u morron

  • @TheMindExplorer What type you idiot.

  • hey , I watched your video about speedcubing. And I was wondering if you could send me a site or just a respond on my channel of the papers with the drawed rubik's solutions and algorithms on the back. Perhaps I understand the speed then.... Thank you.

  • umm no offense but ur not a very good tutor or teacher :L

  • Wow this video is retarded I can solve rubiks cube in about a minute give or take and was looking for something to decrease my time but all I heard throughout the whole video was '' I expect you to know this.''

No guidance was given throughout the whole video do not watch!!!!

  • "All your base are belong to us" looks like one of the cheats of Warcraft 3

  • AT 10:00 THIS ALGORITHM IS BETTER:R' F' L'F R F' L F.

  • It's strange, the faster I get the less I see 1 minute as advanced, but if you have the dedication to make yourself practice till you're sub 1, then you're intermediate in my book. Advanced? Well that's a different story.

  • what were u saying when u were mixing the cube?

  • umm its kinda fast for me to follow but still thanks for the vid!

  • O.O you needed six months to memorize the PLLs????

I'm going to take forever then... =.='''''' and i thought the F2Ls were bad enough...

  • @ladidum22 Really you don't it just depends how much you want to work at it I learned all plls in like 2 months but I could of done it in a month but I decided to take it slow

  • Lol, my best is 00;54 with the LBL method.

  • i suck at rubix cubes i can barley get one side in 10 minutes

  • best non lucky 37.39 sec, lucky 28.63 avg: 45 sec

  • @wowzers66613

YAY! Finally i found someone like me, my average is about 45,

my best is 30.05, non lucky!

  • my pb is 27.90 but it was a semi lucky solve i use f2l and 2look oll and pll right now i am learning all of the plls what should i do to get faster

  • @nezpez5 practice

  • i'm best is only 34 :D

  • im....completely lost....omg.....

  • my pb is now officially 49.30

  • All your cube are belong to us.

  • my best is 57 seconds

  • @DANGSII same here but i used beginners method mixed with my own and my friends

  • you explained a bit too fast and turned the cube to quickly so i had to watch lots of times but it did help in the end

  • Darn, sometimes you talk that fast, I cannot understand what you're saying. Like here 7:02

  • My best is 1:10 min...

    Is that good enough?

  • it took me a while but i finally figured out how you solve the first way

  • what do the xs and ys mean?

  • for that last case, heres a much shorter alg: do a U2 to have the stickers in the right spot.

    F' r U R' U' r' F R

    much, much faster

  • oll case that is

  • i don't get u make better tutorial with more explanation in it !!!

  • hopefully you've updated your method man try looking at lancetheblueknights page he gives an awesome method for intuitive f2l i was around 1 minute and now im low 30's so it ws helpful to me just wanted you to know

  • first link doesn't work ..... ??

  • look up introduction to f2l oll and pll

  • Idk what PLL and stuff like that mean.

  • @flyguy1333

    F2L means First 2 Layers

    OLL is Orient Last Layer

& PLL is Permute Last Layer

  • that first link brings me to a website to buy ariline tickets

  • Do you know all those basic 2 lokk olls now?

  • can sum1 tell me as to what average time wud be 'advanced'.

i average sub30....(24-27 secs is really common)

    is tht intermediate?

  • that is close to intermediate sub20 is better

  • well now i average around sub24

    i get many 20s and i can get sub20 1 in 3 solves.

i need to improve my f2l, my cross+f2l= 14-15 seconds!! its terrible!!!

i use 2look oll and full pll

i am learning full oll and have learnt 32 of them.

but, right now, i need to improve my f2l..

  • @uNamed2lyfe well its not competition speed but thats pretty good

  • @phobatrivaphobia i avg sub18 now. i kinda stopped cubing for a 7-8 months cuz my dad passed away. so, cubing wasnt really on my to do list. i had other things to take care of. had my dad not passed away, i probably wouldve still been cubing and probably would be averaging around sub13... but oh well.

  • @uNamed2lyfe Wow.. so sorry to hear that

  • @uNamed2lyfe advanced as in probably the best you will ever meet in person by chance. intermediate as in there are still thousands faster

  • please teach me to solve without algorithms

  • Learn an algorithm at a time and get it to the point that it's all in the muscle memory. Can't solve without algs.

  • Worthless video, you can't even talk properly. Uugh duu errr mumble mumble.

  • omg most of you are retarded this method dosent use algorithims, its completely intuitive and it will slow your time down at first it slowed mine down to 1 minute from 45 second and now i have it down and my average is about 30 and i dont know all the OLL/PLL algorithms

  • dude...the front 6 minutes that he did is F2L...which almost all speedcuber used this method...u just lack of practice..dont blame anyone...

and u cant solve a cube within 10 seconds if u dont know OLL and PLL...

  • white at the bottom, white at the bottom, white at the bottom plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :=[

  • My F2L is so slow! It takes up 30 seconds of my solve. I could be sub 30 easily with a faster F2L

  • that used to be me lol. when you start the fridrich method it tends to slow your times down, but then it increases amazingly fast(with practice, of course).

  • I mean to the point where I'm sat at 30 seconds just completed my F2L and my OLL/PLL takes me only to 40 seconds. It is my F2L and only my F2L that is making me slow.

  • That happens to everyone. You just have to work on it. Try incorporating intuitive F2L with algorithms(if you don't do that already). I think it'll help a lot.

  • Comment removed

  • i had the exact same problem and i literaly had to change it cause i could not get faster at it so i went with the 2x2,2x2x3,2x3x3 etc. method and it works to my best

  • when u say under a minute, do u mean with or w/o lubrication

(i hope i spelled it right...)

  • Isn't this 2-Look?

  • you said to have 1 min on your ave solving time but thats impossible or me to do bc i cant do any of those incredibly fancy finger things that i see every one do so its kinda impossible for me to do that is that ok??

  • @ninjamonkey93: Well, then practice =P.

  • they probably wont, this is 2 years old, put the pieces together

  • 1st link doesnt work

  • Wait.. Jessica Friedrich?

  • for the algorithms in link three, what does (x) and (x') mean??

  • that means to rotate the cube around the x axis (horizontal axis) whichever way it tells you (' meaning counterclockwise). there's the same thing with the y and y' (y axis)

  • do they not also have a z and z'

  • they do have z and z' but as far as i know it isnt used often in f2l, oll, or pll

  • It could be used, but I don't know of any algs that require it.

  • I dont understand the part where you do the 2 first layers at once

  • 6 months for the plls? i learned them in 5 days, i mean lol? anyway i gotta improve my fingerspeed and learn more god dam olls, "SCREW YOU 2-LOOK OLL" a quote from a friend of mine... whatever

  • all 21 pll´s??i don´t think so

  • lmfao when you practice for about 13 hours per day, you learn fast and thats what i do =P speedsolvings all that i do so its not hard to spend that much time and learn really fast

  • the way i originally did the cross was i just got the edges around the opposites center and then just matched them up and turned the face twice. is that less efficient?

  • what do u lub ur cube with

  • he uses silicone he shows how in one of his videos

  • LOL @ 3:04

    It changes completely. xD

  • It is actually far more different when you know 78 algs (I know about 35, (25PLLs) but it still seems very different )

  • Luv the picture at 0:35

  • I've forgotten the lingo of the algorithm's because i've done them so many times i don't think, i just do them..Do you know what i mean?? my average solve is 50-1:05

  • this vid is great. could you make a vid on how to get faster using this method THX

  • I wonder what method the like, world record holders use, This one in a more advanced form?

  • they use fridich, and some use petrus

  • tecnique freedrich

  • wats F2L?

  • First two layers

  • Actually, it's pronounced 'Fridrik', not 'Fridrich', even if it is spelled Fridrich.

  • the first link doesnt work

  • the links in the description box go 1, 2, 3, 5. You forgot 4.

  • with the basic method i solved the cube in 44 seconds

  • urm i wanna ask..there are so so so many algo for F2L..how do u exactly rmb them? is there any way to shorten the list?

  • just do it intuitively. it take some practice at first but you'll get used it pretty quick.

after you figure it out intuitively just learn the algs for the ones that always give you trouble so you'll only have to know maybe a handful

  • all rite..thx for the advice!

  • what does it mean to do it intuitively?

  • using ur head

    not just MEMORIZING algorithms

  • you must be 8. use a dictionary.

  • you must be immature

  • advocating the application of a dictionary makes me immature. punk.

  • you must be a fuckign whore tht has a tiny vagina.stfu

  • tehehe how'd you know? everyone loves my tight clit <33

  • Trying to do short sequences of moves just by guessing what the result will be

  • thats what i asked too

someone had told me to just keep doing the algorithm and it will eventually stay in your head after seeing it continuously.

  • The first link is broken...

Ah, I'll just tell you on your channel

  • my record is 1:03.56 with the keyhole method i am so close to breaking a minute just three secs.

  • um....congrats?....

    ...

  • i know this i just need to learn the PLL skip thingy

  • PLL skip is just when your done solving OLL, the last layer which you would be doing PLL, is already solved.

  • do you have any good tricks for recognizing the G perms?

  • check his PLL video

  • 21 PLL algorithms*

  • I know how to make it so you only have to remember 28 algorithms =P (It's still the same method, just replace some with intuivity, and on the OLL, just use the beginner method to make a cross and only 7 algorithms need to be remembered, + the 28 PLL algorithms)

  • i get plls now!

  • yay, thank you trawst, nice tut.

  • wats the best way to solve a 3x3 like wat method? advanced? keyhole?

  • fridrich f2l(plus techniques like multislotting, use of empty slots etc etc..)+ full oll(maybe some zbf2l cases to skip that)+ full pll

  • are those diys or rubick's brand

  • estsheen

  • eastsheen doesnt make 3x3x3

  • O

    K

  • My new record is 36 seconds

  • erm....what?

  • my new record is 41.75 seconds

  • i like your intro...XD

  • you should check your post again. He would be a good teacher if "[he] can explain things."

  • of corse i can solve the cube. and i can solve it very fast. i thought i can pick up a thing or two from thraw but hes so horrible at teaching and explain things. he doesnt know whoe he talkin about.

  • He does know a lot, but, I do agree :D He isn't the best teacher out there. I recommend "badmephisto" because of his advanced Fridrich stuff and commutator video :)

  • yea he is pretty cool. i talked to him a few times. that's why i can solve it pretty fast

  • :) yep yep

  • badmephisto is good for learning :)

you should check /TheWestonian, he can teach very usefull things, even tho he doesnt have many views.

  • I have already :) Thanks for the recommendation though! I learned some ZBF2L awhile back from him and I adapted some of my OLL algorithms to his because I have very fast R and U face triggers, so I like 2-gen :D Cheers!

  • my record is 39 secs... willsmiths rec is 55 seks..

  • Haha n00bs! My record is 31.10 seconds!

  • my record is 55 seconds

  • my record is 44.35. I use the beginners method because i've gotten super fast at it.

  • 47 seconds is my best time... im confused with this method tho.

  • are you using the beginner method?

    mines 1:29

i have lubricated my cube but i cant learn finger tricks.

    any help..?

  • i use my own method... f2l method and this method that solves 2 corners at same time.. a few finger tricks.. and i lubricated my cube.

  • wait.. can some1 plz name the methods at 3:06

  • the beginners method and the jessica fridrich method

  • my record on beginner method is 41.06 seconds

  • my record on beginner method is 1:09.

  • mine is 2:06 lol you guys killed me i need to know how to *easily* do this faster it is aggravating me so much

  • my record was 1:03... still trying to break the 1 min barrier

  • my record is 1:22

  • mine is 1:33. im trying get under 1 min

  • lubricating the cube is really important for speed; my cube is really hard to turn and my record was barely 0:55 but then at school I solved my friends lubbed cube in 0:45 easily and I could go much faster with practice with it

  • the last layer was followable but the first two layers are not very explained. for the first 2 layers, look at fallofshadows tutorial

  • U R RUBIX GOD!!

This cut my time from 1:14 to 39!!!!

  • woohoo

  • confusing

  • The first link doesn't work. It brings me to some crap site.

  • the links dont work.

  • can u do waterman or petrus?

  • I learned how to do the cross and four corner pieces with the cross being on the top face.. You really confused me ÔÔ

  • YOU ARE THE BEST AT EVERYTHING WITH A RUBIX CUBE i WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOU DO A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO DO PATTERNS EASY/ADVANCED. :)

  • what cube do you recomend for speed cubing for a 3x3x3 or a 2x2x2

  • ur so fast dude

    nxt tym pls slow down

  • what?

  • way to fast wtf.

  • dude slow down plz

  • how do you print on those note cards?
