Looks great but I was hoping for Nikon lens compatibility. When one is invested heavily in lenses, beginning a new system of lenses is financially daunting. I wonder if this camera will be able to be adapted to other (Nikon) lenses.

There *is* a shutter - a focal plane one. You're thinking of the X100, which has an almost silent leaf shutter.

you can change the sound of the shutter. since there isn't an actual shutter.
