  • First, Queer is accepted by the gay community as the appropriate term to use for them as a group. Second, the person making fun of gays is Sasha Baron Cohen. He is a straight man playing a stereotypical caricature of gays. THAT is insulting and wrong. This is why I always say that Liberals are where the Nazis fled after they were beat out of the Right. They are just full of hate and hypocrisy, only wanting to destroy. Swine.

  • well he is a queer. what do you want him to say?

  • yeah i would be pretty homophobic to if some stranger tricked me into a bedroom and came after me with his pants down! get a life people!

  • who gives a fuck. i'm so sick of these fucking dorks and their political correctness crusade. get a life assholes. anytime a supposed "slur" is used everyone of you jackasses get up on your soapbox and decry the utterer as being as bad as hitler. this country has real problems and you're worried about compliance with the latest version of the newspeak dictionary

  • He says "He's a queer," not "He's queer." That's Ron Paul being homophobic. The context he used the word in is obviously homophobic.

  • @ThePrettyNerdie Ron Paul is pro gay marriage against a wash of idiots like Rick Santorum. Bruno literally got naked and tried to have sex with Ron Paul I think saying he was "queer as may" or whatever expression he used was barely inflammatory.

  • @Bouchon211 He is NOT pro gay marriage. Do your homework.

  • @mgrey24 Actually he IS pro-gay marriage! He is for government having absolutely no part in defining or participating in marriage, he is therefore PRO gay marriage by extension. I think you need to do YOUR homework friend.

  • @Bouchon211 That's pro-gay the same way that the southern states were pro-abolition.They said that the government shouldn't have part in deciding which states were allowed to have slaves. States rights often oppress the local minority. Standing by as states deny marriage to homosexuals is NOT being pro-gay. Someone who is pro-gay would make it so that the entire country could not deny those rights. Also he has said many times that he believes marriage is between a man and a woman.

  • If a man deceitfully tricked me into a phony interview, then proceeded to strip down and try to seduce me without my consent, I would be angry too. Ron Paul has a wife, what do the haters want him to do, let "Bruno" give him a lap dance in order to prove he isn't homophobic? Anyone with just half a political conscience can look up Paul's views and WHY in under 5 minutes. Grow up, seriously. Actually research libertarianism and its idea of INDIVIDUAL rights before blindly following herds, sheep.

  • Queer

1.strange or odd from a conventional viewpoint; unusually different; singular: a queer notion of justice.

    2.

of a questionable nature or character; suspicious; shady: Something queer about the language of the prospectus kept investors away.

    3.

not feeling physically right or well; giddy, faint, or qualmish: to feel queer.

    4.

    mentally unbalanced or deranged.

yes his use of queer is totally homophobic, remember when gay meant happy, hes old not from our era, that doesnt make him homophobic

  • You can see the Paul/Cohen clip on YouTube. Paul should have punched the degenerate.

  • his use of the word queer was as an adjective, not as a noun - case closed.

  • How in the world is queer offensive? There's even a TV show called Queer as Folk. All those people affiliated with the show must be homophobes, right?

  • This lady is full of fucking shit. Queer actually means "Crazy." Learn something bitch before you make silly accusations against a highly respected congressman like Ron Paul!

  • I´m shocked and disturbed hy Ron Paul calling him a queer.......NOT!!!!

  • If you watch the video, his response to what Bruno did is completely acceptable.

  • Maybe Paul finally got his junk erect for the 1st time in 50 years!

  • If you listen to the quote of what he says, he does not call Bruno a "queer" he says that he is Queer as blazes or something like that.

Queer didnt always mean gay, if you actually look up what the word means it means strange

  • Maddow is funny trying to stir up phony outrage.. Is any gay person here outraged? Didnt think so

  • wow!!! calling someone queer is offensive?? even if they act like they'r trying to fuck you? hmmmmm....im a muslim american...hows that for discrimination.

  • @thedudewithbeef How many "queers" wear bombs? Exactly!

  • That wanna be faggot should get a beat down for his treatment towards the senator. Ron Paul supports an individuals right to marry anyone he or she chooses.

  • @Barbaricz123 Nice trolling. YEAH, nobody does that to a SENATOR!

  • RON PAUL 2012!

  • So it's appropriate for someone to come on to an elderly married man? He could have picked his words better, but he had every right to be outraged.

  • Lol, I have a gay sister and multiple gay cousins/friends.... I have nothing against gay people, but I would have called Bruno a queer too! No different then if i was a married man and it would have been some girl doing that... I would of called her a slut or a whore.. lol.

  • Who is this ugly dike? And why does se have a job? an since when is queer a bad word?

  • @blizzard762 What I wrote was the consensus of those who are gay around me. My very gay brother in law laughed and said he was surprised Ron Paul didn't slap him...to which I said Ron Paul probably hits like a girl...which would then make it less "queer". Laughs were had.

  • all you have to do is read what it says over Ron Paula head at the start of this video. theres tour your answer.

  • What's funny is that the majority...if not all...of the people supposedly outraged by this two year old video are straight. It is always amusing to see people outraged by something that does not pertain to them. If the gay community was outraged about it, then it would perhaps have a little more bite to the claim...except they aren't because they're not completely stupid.

One...what the actor did was "Queer" in the sense that it was weird. Two.,.it was also gay. What else would you call it?

  • @Ragnarok512 I'm part of the gay community, and the reason why I wasn't outraged at this is because I never heard about it until now. I think what Cohen did was obviously wrong, but the reason why people are attacking Paul is because he denigrated Cohen's portrayed sexual orientation rather than his aggressive sexual advances. "Queer" was clearly referring to him being gay; it's not commonly used to describe something weird nowadays.

  • I am gay i dont find the word queer offensive. If you do this to someone not gay of course you would expect a reaction like this. It looks like a set up to try and catch out RP, as usual more slander..sigh*

  • @jackthelad101 sure u r. or or u a paul bot pretending to be gay to justify pauls homophobic actions...

  • @xCleverlyx not really thats the truth ive always been upfront about who i am.

  • OH MY GOD, RON PAUL STATED THE OBVIOUS. HOW HORRIBLE!!!!!!111

  • Comment removed

  • Well Rachel Maddow imagine if you were giving an interview in a hotel and the woman interviewer came on to you and started taking her clothes off, oh wait...damn I forgot, sorry

    btw you're very handsome Rachel

  • He says he's as queer as he's crazy

  • RON PAUL for President!!! Thanks!

  • So silly. Gays say queer on a daily basis. Paul didn't sound hateful. And, let's face it, when we are freaked out/offended, most of us say the meanest things that come to mind. That was a very tame and civil response for what to Paul must have legitimately appeared to be a potential sexual assault against him.

  • @ActaNonVerba71 If someone did that to one of my grandfathers, I would beat them so hard they would be lucky to leave the room with their life.

  • @FitnessByMatt How do you really feel Matt? lol

  • @ActaNonVerba71 LOL!!! Great comment! But yes, that summarizes how I feel on the matter. What Bruno did to Ron Paul here is not acceptable.

  • Lured and tricked it was inappropriate.

Hopefully Ron Paul has changed his views on gays. I'd hate to have homophobe baggage on him if he where to become a president.

The Ron Paul legislation isn't dated. Since my only interest in Ron Paul is in his libertarianism I'd be more than happy to support a libertarian that doesn't come with the baggage.

  • @Hierophant2

He's not anti gay from a political standpoint. He voted against an attempt to federally define marriage as between a man and a woman, and he voted for don't ask don't tell in the 90's (back then, it was more of an alternative to not having gays int he military period) and he voted for the recent repeal, so openly gay people could serve,

And there's really nothing homophobic about what he did in this vid, either. I mean, I guess Queer isn't totally pc, but that's it.

  • Ron Paul is the most conservative candidate in American history, he makes the old segregationalists look like bleeding heart liberals. His supporters are totally deluded and need help. If you are a libertarian, realize that ron paul is anti gay, anti science, pro life, and a total racist, then support actual libertarians like the Gary Johnson who dropped out of the GOP to run as a libertarian... You people have a party so if you aren't all paleocon republicans, then start supporting it.

  • I love Ron Paul AND Bruno! I'll bet that a majority of "Ron Paul people" would agree. I say just roll with the joke sometimes, but I understand that Ron doesn't want to embarass himself, especially since he will soon be our President. Thank you, Sacha and Go Ron Paul 2012 !!

  • @MrHatRulesI;m not as mad at Bruno as I am at the people who try to act like what Ron Paul did in the situation was bad or homphobic.

  • @heatbucspies55 You Ron Paulers are so blind.

  • @Woblesavvy

Why, cause everything I said was true, I'm blind?

Can you tell me an actual reason why I'm wrong?

  • YOU'RE ALL FUCKING SICK IN THE HEAD AND NEED HELP!

  • I have no problem with gay people, but if some guy tricked me into a room, took off his pants and blocked off the door I would be pissed.

  • @rgiblin6

Hell, forget the whole gay thing even, just the fact that a reporter brings you into a room to interview you and ends up stripping and coming onto you sexually is he seriously not supposed to be mad about that?

And he's still a 76 year old dude, try that on some other guy and see if they give you the benefit of the doubt (he stayed there through some pretty gay stuff, he only left when he actually took the pants off) and they just walk out peacefully. He was lucky, really.

  • @heatbucspies55 Anyone trying that on me would be lucky because I would regard a situation such as that as an attempted rape and deal with it accordingly.

  • @FitnessByMatt Would be lucky if all I said was "queer" is what I meant.

  • Ron Paul takes it up the butt too so its ok for him to use that word

  • How could he not tell that Bruno was gay form the start? O.o

  • @whoo689

Maybe he didn't prejudge the limp wristed guy.

  • Did Ron Paul REALLY not get that this Bruno character was supposed to be a major queen (no offense)? I mean, the guy's 75! He's fairly conservative on social issues, too. And Christian

  • He supports gay marriage - he's mostly liberal on social issues, really - he's pro-life, and that's about it.

  • @whoo689 So was Ron Paul supposed to assume additionally that anyone who is gay would ATTEMPT TO RAPE HIM?

  • @FitnessByMatt

Lol, maybe it's not the gayness, but the fact that he mislead him, got him in a room alone and took his pants off that makes him seem like a rapist.

  • I didn't realize Bruno was a mafia leader.

  • I was under the impression that queer was one of the less offensive terms.

  • I mean, hello! I don't mind homosexuals but if some guy tries to hit on me without my consent, just like that, I'd be out of my mind with anger. Now considering RP is 76 years old, I think he handled that pretty well. I'd probably have kicked Cohen in the balls and called him a disgusting piece of shit. Just because you're gay doesn't mean you can hit on straight people and expect 'em to like it.

  • @DrStrangebomb1993 If being hit on "without your consent" (I guess you have to sign a waiver first?) by a gay guy makes you Hulk out with rage, then I think it's pretty safe to say that you mind, or even hate homosexuals.

  • @encliticcopula It's a natural reaction. I don't mind if they do it to each other with their consent but hitting on people who are straight is sexual molestation. No, I don't hate them, the problem is that you can't even fucking object to something in this fucking politically-correct world without being called a hater, or a homophobe.

  • @encliticcopula Yes, a 6'3 man pulling his pants down in front of a [then] 73-year old. PERFECTLY APPROPRIATE, NOTHING TO SEE HERE FOLKS, MOVE ALONG.

  • Bruno takes off his pants, and attempts to 'seduce' Ron Paul and *gasp* Ron Paul calls him a queer. Who, really, is at fault here?

  • @Cheeso33 yes iam confused too.... i dont think Ron Paul was wrong

  • i loved the scene! i thought he handled it pretty well actually. He didnt yell at bruno. He just yelled to his friend down the hall , in shock, that this guy turned out to be queer and took his pants off. im sure if bruno hadnt taken off his pants they could have partied

  • whats wrong in caling a queer "QUEER"

  • @Fred6191 I dunno, man. I always get confused when niggers get angry that I call them that too.

  • whats up with the fucking title of this fucken video

  • Maddow, Cohen lured an elderly man into a hotel room and took his pants off. That's beyond inappropriate.

  • Maddow you dumb bitch, the guy lured an elderly man into a hotel room and took his pants off. That's perverted and inappropriate.

  • He actually says "this guy is as queer as blazes!"

I'm not surprised that a 70+ year old Christian got a little freaked out when the guy he thought was going to interview him instead decides to take his pants off and dance for him.

Maybe Ron is a little homophobic. Maybe he thinks smoking pot is wrong. It doesn't really matter though, because he believes the government should not have the power to tell people what decisions they make for themselves.

  • Hes for gay marriage FUCK YALL HE HAS MY VOTE

  • @MrLLiscool his not for gay marriage, his for the states to decide from themselves. In the bigger picture he strongly believes marriage is a religious problem not a government problem.

  • unfortunetely, this will definitely be brought up and used by MSM if/when Paul's numbers increase...they don't want to pull it out now, but they'll wait for the right time...no doubt... and I agree, he was put in a bad situation, and that this was a joke or whatever, but he said it, and it will be spun into some huge media blitz to bring him down...

  • He called him a queer, so the fuck what? Tricking someone into isolation in a room and taking your pants off infront of them with sexual intentions AND having that on videotape........ is that not more oppressive?

  • He's a Homophobe!

  • @deeppurple28 I'd be afraid of a naked man in my room.

  • lol. i love sacha baron cohen and i love ron paul and i thought the skit was freakin adorable hahaha.

  • Look, calling somebody is queer isn't a cool thing. However, when you're under emotional stress as he was, I can't say I would've done much different. I don't hate gays (I'm also for gay rights) and I'm sure Ron Paul doesn't hate gays either. This is a case of being freaked out over what he thought was an attempted rape (and technically kidnapping by not letting him go right away). Can't really say I would've done different because I haven't been in that situation.

  • Sasha is a genius by the way he tricks stupid people into revealing how stupid they really are. Ron Paul is an idiot, he seriously wants to control the way somebody wants to live? I'm sure he would've been one of the bullies you see on the news that causes gay people to kill themselves. Plus he just looks and sounds like a corporate crook

  • @Ronpaulclass101 - Wrong. Paul did not say "this guys acting queer," he said "he's a queer, he's queer as blazes." If you knew any gays, you would know calling any gay person a "queer" is a derogatory term.

  • @Vote3rdParty I've actually heard Gay rights activists use the term positively. Also, Ron Paul is old and doesn't get political correctness updates. Queer was the popular term to describe gays some time ago, and back when Dr. Paul was younger. Even the word Gay is relatively new. It used to be okay to call black people negroes, too. Besides, you can tell in the clip from Bruno that he used the term to describe he was being hit on by Bruno, and he was clearly distressed about that part.

  • @xgreciandelightx - Queer isn't used by gays "positively." It's just used. Just like SOME blacks call eachother "nigger." Does that make it okay to say such things to blacks?

  • @Vote3rdParty Actually, the person that used queer to describe gays was a gay rights activist, but not gay herself. No one voiced any problem with her use of the term. If people want to use it pejoratively, that's their prerogative, but just because some do does not mean that ALL do. Furthermore, just because blacks use that word does not make their using it right. If you really, REALLY consider a word a racist pejorative and don't want people to use it, then don't fucking use it yourself.

  • @Vote3rdParty Those are probably the words that would come out of my mouth if a homosexual brought me into a bedroom and got naked.

I'm not homophobic, but that scene crosses the line. He had a right to be pissed.

  • @SharpenedPensel - I'm sorry but that's homophobic. If a black person stripped off their clothes would you call them "nigger"?

  • @Vote3rdParty That's a horrible argument. If a black person stripped and tried to come onto me, I'd call him a crazy queer, the same as I would a white person. Who's the racist here?

Anyone who INTENTIONALLY violates your personal space and comfort, as was clearly done in this video, is going to be subject to some aggression. That's a natural instinct, and to be honest, I think Paul was pretty well restrained considering the circumstances.

  • @SharpenedPensel - So you would call a black woman a "queer"? That doesn't even make sense. LOL! I didn't say anyone was racist. I said you were a homophobe, and you are, bigot.

And what does what has aggression, hatred, and bigotry ever solved? Nothing. Peace and LOVE for all!

    :)

  • @Vote3rdParty I grew up with a gay friend, so you're way off. And, these hypotheticals are blowing this way out of proportion.

Fact is, this video doesn't prove that Ron Paul is a homophobe. It was an ambush and a violation of another person's trust. If you're for peace and love for all, why aren't you criticizing Sasha Baron Cohen, who profits on comedy at the expense of the gay and Islamic community?

  • @SharpenedPensel - I'm gay and I take no offense to comedians who poke fun at stereotypes. What would be funny about Cohen acting "straight" while portraying a gay person? Nothing. People like Cohen go after everybody,.

Queer is a homophobe term and that's the bottom line. And last time I checked it was Paul running for President not Cohen. Paul has supported many homophobic policies through the years. DOMA, DADT, We The People Act, Marriage Protection Act, should I name more?

  • RACHEL MADDOW IS A TOTAL CUNT

  • @themistermand

..Because she disagrees with you Politically?

  • @BelfastAtheist Yes, stupid. Because she's a dumb ass socialist liberal.

  • @themistermand

Either you're trolling and you're pretty bad at it..

Or you're genuinely this vacuous. I'll opt for the former. Though I don't particularly care either way.

  • Sasha Baron Cohen is a queer jew faggot!

  • @pfctjd Sasha Baron Cohen is married and has two daughters (and his wife is pretty damn hot). So much for you knowing what you're talking about.

  • @zzyzx0788

Quit sucking up to a kike that you will never meet or have any contact with. Cohen does not care about you! Cohen is a hack comedian and he is a one trick pony, fuck him!

  • @pfctjd Lol you Paulers sure get your panties in a bunch whenever anyone even kind of makes him look bad. Relax, it was a funny little joke. Ron Paul is not god, no need to go apeshit about this.

  • @zzyzx0788

I never mentioned Dr. Paul, you did.

    Ron Paul 2012!

  • Queer = different. not a slur, genius

  • @TheMrLiberty - And faggot = bundle of sticks! No slur there! Genius...

  • @Vote3rdParty Shut up you bitch (a female dog)

  • Good for Ron! Fucking faggots need to keep their poop-sex in the bedroom!

  • @Vote3rdParty i can't believe this reply is authentic. Its just ridiculous

  • @jezzieBell05 - ... Um.. explain how it's ridiculous. Do you know how to form an argument or you trolling on purpose?

  • Have you ever been sexually harassed by a man, especially by a person as big as Sasha? Not even that, but getting aggressively oggled is not a very comfortable thing. I had a 300 lbs 6'6'' guy be overtly crass in front of my friends to me. I rebuffed his queries and gestures and went elsewhere, but I found it unsettling.

You apparently are biased with your opninion so therefore you do not see past objectifying a person. Practice empathy, instead of cold righteous arrogance/ignorance.

  • @Vote3rdParty wow, research before you spread distortions. It was Ron Paul's newsletter that was authored by another. When it was found out he was fired. I believe it was an isolated blip in the Dr.'s distinguished career as an flight surgeon in the air force, OB/GYN that delivered 4000 babies and over 20 years in congress. And in Ron Paul's time, queer was used as weird and then became gay, I think Ron Used it appropriately. How would you like to have this happen to you on camera?

  • @bdmenne - "wow, research before you spread distortions. It was Ron Paul's newsletter that was authored by another. When it was found out he was fired."

Please post a reliable source on that. I know you made up the last part, because he never fired anyone over the newsletters. He now claims it was a ghostwriter. Here Paul admits to writing them without hesitation in 1996.

    /watch?v=q8aEGs0WLEc

Exactly, "he's acting queer" is one use of the word. Paul's use "he's A queer" is the homophobic use

  • fuck neo-marxist fags

  • Who cares if he called him a queer. If Ron Paul shot the guy, I would say, "go do your thing Mr. Paul, and I'm still voting for you."

  • @renegade1179 - I'm not surprised coming from a Paultard considering Paul called for gays to be quarantined in his newsletters. I'm sure you subscribed to that racist and homophobic garbage.

  • @Vote3rdParty fascists label and abuse people they disagree with instead of engaging them. "Paultard" is a label and the bile you spew on this page shows you for the contemptuous fascist you are. in fact fascism & homosexual men make good bed fellows. Read up on your shared history....

  • @ufff212 - Riiiggghhhtt... And if they were black he had the right call them "nigger" and a women "bitch" or "whore." Bigotry is wrong in any case. Those comments are more than just "politically incorrect" they are inflamatory.

  • @ufff212 - "Paul did not write those newsletters and you know that based on your other comments."

Please post those comments of mine. Paul ADMITS to writing the newsletters in this video. Listen to Paul himself in 1996, not me! Haha! Not my fault he called blacks "animals" either.

    /watch?v=q8aEGs0WLEc

  • This is BS. Paul being called a homophobe for a guy trying to seduce him. It is not homophobic to call someone a queer. If I was Paul he would have been punched. There is a big difference in being anti-homosexual and anti-homosexual seducing and sexual harrassing you. If this is how the gay community reacts to something like this they are being FUCKING IDIOTS and hurting their own cause.

  • i believe the defense to that is that those remarks were not made by him. i don't want to go down the road of one person telling me he said it and one person saying he didn't. for my own sanity I'll use what is being said currently as an accurate portrayal of his positions. from that I can find issues like immigration, abortion, and religion that i disagree with him on. though I like his opposition to wars of aggression and the income tax.

  • @cjt261 - Watch this video, it's Paul's statements regarding the newsletters when they became public in 1996.

    /watch?v=q8aEGs0WLEc

I don't agree with Paul on most issues except for the wars, money in politics, and auditing the fed.

  • maybe i don't know whats in his heart, his rhetoric suggests he judges the individual rather than a group to which they belong but I don't vote in political elections so it doesn't really matter to me. you do seem angry though.

  • @cjt261 - Read passages from the Ron Paul Political report and that will change your change. Paul calls blacks "animals" and calls for gay to be quarantined. Wouldn't you be angry is someone was telling you that calling your sexuality "weird" or "strange" is not offensive?

  • congrads on having more gay friends than me you won the contest. you're a very angry person. oh and don't forget about my bisexual friend that makes two.

  • @cjt261 - I'm not angry just honest. Sometimes the truth hurts. Paul's a homophobe.

  • alright my gay friend is ignorant to what should offend him. I'll be sure to tell him some asshole on youtube is the arbiter of what is offensive to him. you kinda are a jerk.

  • @cjt261 - Yeah, go talk to your 1 "gay friend." I'm gay and have many gay and straight friends that both agree "queer" is a derogatory term. Do you even know what "queer" means? It means "strange," or "odd." Pass that on to your 1 "gay friend."

  • @Vote3rdParty So why didn't the gay guys on the show "Queer eye for the straight guy" protest for a name change? It is obviously not as black and white and you seem to suggest. Besides.... Is not what Sacha Baron Cohen fits to describe himself? Stange and odd? Please argue that it was not strange and odd what he did. He sexually harrassed him. So stop being a fucking idiot. Damn.

  • @matt4787 - Yeah or go talk to those "black rapper guys" that call eachother "nigger." SEE? Black people like being called "nigger!" Thanks for exposing your ignorance and how out of touch Paul supporters are with the gay community.

Paul said "He's a queer"... "he's queer as blazes" an old time derogatory term toward gays, not "he's acting queer." Big difference, "idiot."

  • @Vote3rdParty Once again please give me the argument that says the guy wasn't queer? You admitted yourself that queer was meaning strange/odd. Was that not stange/odd? Of course it was you freaking idiot. It is the assumption he was using it derogatory against gays. But you are still making that assumption. So essentially if anyone uses the term queer in context to label a weird gay guy that sexually harrasses someone it is being used derogatory against gays? STFU! Wow!

  • @matt4787 - It's NOT an assumption. "A queer" and "acting queer" are COMPLETELY different. Paul said "he's a queer." You meat-heads don't get the right to go around calling gays "queers" and then when your girlfriend get mad at you you say "that guy was acting weird" as the drool drips from your mouth. On top of that we already know Ron Paul is a homophobe based on his voting record. YES on DOMA, We The People Act, and Marriage Protection Act. Ron Paul, the Jim Crow of gay rights.

  • @Vote3rdParty Actually marriage discriminates against a lot of people. What if I wanted to share my sisters insurance and she was alright with that. Why couldn't we get married? The point is marriage is a BS social engineering by the government. And government shouldn't social engineer. But instead of the gay community trying to stop the social engineering they simply want to be a part of it. It is ridiculious. But if you want to compare the lack of gay marriage to jim crow laws then so be it.

  • @matt4787 - The Defense of Marriage Act does not attempt to "end social engineering." It only discriminates against gays. Just like Jim Crow only discriminated against blacks. Same with We The People Act and the Marriage Protection Act. Ron Paul is a homophobe. Don't you think gays deserve the same benefits as straight couples? At least until the day where there is no more government benefits for marriages?

  • @Vote3rdParty That's the point. I am not in favor of any marriage benefits from the government. They are discriminating against single people.

  • @matt4787 - That's understandable. So you must agree that Paul is a bigot for introducing legislation to discriminate against gays as opposed to legislation to end marriage benefits? Would you be alright if Paul introduced legislation to ban interracial marriage as well?

  • who cares if if he called him queer, the guy was making unwanted advances toward him that warrants being called queer. if a guy was harassing a woman and she called him a dick would anyone scold her?

  • @cjt261 - But Ron Paul's not a woman. It would be like a black woman making advances on Paul and her calling her a "nigger." But thanks for exposing your ignorance. I'm sure you have zero gay friends. Cheers!

  • @Vote3rdParty well maybe I'm ignorant i don't know. I have a gay friend and a bisexual friend by the way but I didn't know you wanted to compare how many minority friends we each had, bit childish.

  • @cjt261 - It's well known to be a slur towards gays.

  • @Vote3rdParty ok the people i know don't have a problem with queer

  • @cjt261 - Then the people you know are ignorant as well.

  • the concept of dont ask dont tell should be no one cares if you are gay so no one should ask you and no one cares if you are so dont waste your time trying to be all open and in your face with the whole i am gay thing....i have had plenty of gay friends they had the dignity to act like normal people, which probably most gay people do...

  • also look at the context

"I miss the closet. Homosexuals, not to speak of the rest of society, were far better off when social pressure forced them to hide their activities."

with these things like gay parades that show some pretty hypersexual things that most parents would not want their kids to see...it would be easy to make a remark like this, and it would probably be justified...you dont see hetrosexual have parades showing off their sex outfits and with their partners on leashes...

  • @suckmydick1138 - Most kids see their parents nude. They had to suck on their own mothers tits at a certain age. Yet you don't think a kid can handle a man dancing in his underwear? You clearly hate gays.

  • @TheAntiAuthoritarian umm their is a difference between seeing your parents in the nude. and being told to come to an interview under false pretext, or though the use of fraud, and then being sexually harassed by a stranger....tell me if this happened to a woman she would be completely justified in being upset, but becau8se it happened to two me, for the victim to not like it means he is anti gay....hmmm...you are an idiot with contradictory statements...hypocrite...

  • @suckmydick1138 - You're talking about something different now. I was referring to gay parades not this incident with Paul.

  • also she should be called mr maddow because that is clearly what she wants to be...that is why she plays the masculine role, in relationships (and judging by her appearance and mannerisms this appears to also be the case)dont get me wrong i used to watch her and thought she had some decent insights and so on but most of it was just garbage and hypocrisy...

  • MR Maddow is a dumb bitch who really knows nothing....

  • so when a man gets a women to meet him under false pretenses, and then manufacture a situation where they will be alone together, and then proceeds to seduce and talk of his clothes, is normal for the woman to be offended and some would even call that a crime ...but if you are some guy and a gay man does this to you and your dont like it, well you have a phobia, or you are anti gay, im pretty sure he would have shouted to his aids that 'this guy is a queer' if he hadnt made sexual advances

  • Bruno is queer !

  • Gays are a bunch of hypocrites...you got that gay blogger Perez Hilton calling people "fags" and when someone uses the word, gay boy Perez goes crazy. man these queers are indeed out of control, uptight, and hypocritical

  • Maddow is such a biased cunt

  • @VeteranConservative That's why he's been married to the same woman for over 50 years then?

  • I love both these guys. Cohen is one of the funniest people alive and I love Ron Paul. I might have reacted similarly if I was an old man and feared a young fit gay man was going to basically rape me in a random hotel room after a long day of interviews.I want to like Maddow because sometimes she can be so smart, but sometimes it feels like she is just trying to be a PC leftist stereotype and its so annoying.

  • You guys are making your paid propaganda against Ron Paul too obvious by commenting so much on the same thing and your usernames also gives it away. I'm not falling for it.

  • GOD BLESS RON PAUL... !

  • I saw this scene and thought it was cheap.I'm a gay man and I was more offended by the way Ron Paul was manipulated than his conduct in the

situation. If I had of been there in Ron Paul's place,I would have picked up the nearest object and given Sacha Baron Cohen 5 seconds to move before I made an attempt at giving him a concussion. Those peope crying outrage at Ron Paul's language in Bruno remind me of school children running off to tell teacher of the boy who swore in the playground; "Om mer!"

  • Seriously the word queer is about as offensive as the word gay. If gays can shout "we're here we're QUEER get used to it" than a straight person saying it shouldn't be an issue. Ron Paul didn't say he's fag or any other homophobe term stop fishing for an excuse to hate.

  • I think what he said was "This guy is queer as blazes." I'm gay and I like Ron Paul. Shame on SBC for doing this to an honest, hardworking politician.

  • "As Paul is walking away, you can hear him say, several times, something like, "This guy is a queer!" "The word queer comes out of his mouth three or four times," says an attendee."

So what? He's a 70 year old conservative that just got humiliated with an ambush invitation to sex on film when he thought he was there to talk about economics. I would probably use worse language than he did, and I'm not anti-gay, neither is Ron Paul, in fact he explicitly supports the rights of gays as individuals

  • i thought that scene was halarious btw
