hello, i am lloking to head to the cannabis cup 2010 in amsterdam and i am wondering if anyone has any good suggestions on travel packages or companies i can contact for an all out experience. I will be a first timer along with hopefully 3 other people in amsterdam and I am looking for any advice, thank you for the help.

Look, Ive been smoking for over 20 years and yes, it is nice to smoke without worring about being arrested - the freedom is nice (guess that is why Americans like smoking there).
Been there 4 times in the last 6 years and loved it everytime!!!
'De Rokerij' is a tourist trap of the first order. Next time you hit Amsterdam you should try 'Hillstreet Blues' on the Warmoesstraat. Also check out a street called 'Haarlemmerstraat' there are several coffeeshops there in various lounge styles which have great weed and atmosphere. Above all though, sniff up some culture. Hieronymus Bosch paintings, the Rijksmuseum or just the 17th century architecture of the city.
...and how is the Rokerij a tourist trap? The weed is top-notch, the prices are no higher than others, and the atmosphere and staff are first-rate. Maybe you would have considered it "genuine" if there were a jukie in the corner with a needle in his arm..?
right now I came back from my third time in amsterdam... these days I enjoyed the city with some friends. have to say, that there are a lot of friendly people in amsterdam!
There's more in Amsterdam than drugs and alcohol.

I recommend not going to the big comercial shops in the middle of town, they tend to sell pot for allot more than the smaller ones.

Rokerij was really cool, but the staff at La Canna wasnt that great, average grass.
