That behaviour does not aline itself to New Testament's teaching. Dancing in the Spirit is one thing but stupid behaviour is not what God intended for His Temple (we are His Temple). I'm pentecostal and I don't understand why these people react like this. When I'm in the presence of God my body kneels down before him and praise him within my soul. His presence is very strong and warm. When I DO dance, it literally is normal dancing, not sporatic movements.

Back in 1997, when I was renting a house, my room mate who had a stroke, let his brother and sister in law stay with us. I can honestly say That I was raised Baptist. I always hungered for more and when I stepped into a pentecostal church I knew thats where I belonged. I love both religions but for me I needed something more than what I was getting being baptist I am the closest I have ever been in my christian life. Yes, most theists follow the Bible but some don't follow everything. Like, how in the Bible it says to be baptized with the whole body submerged under water. That behaviour does not aline itself to New Testament's teaching. Dancing in the Spirit is one thing but stupid behaviour is not what God intended for His Temple (we are His Temple). There is a big difference between gyrating/frailing about and dancing before the Lord God's house is not a chook house, but a house of prayer and, yes, fun too, but one of respect for God.

I'm pentecostal and I don't understand why these people react like this. When I'm in the presence of God my body kneels down before him and praise him within my soul. His presence is very strong and warm. When I DO dance, it literally is normal dancing, not sporatic movements.
It truely worries me that these people could be moved by demons that are supposingly the Holy Spirit to them. :(

@xomiakas Well, I don't know about all theists, and a lot of religions call themselves Christian, but I do know about Pentecostals. Yes, most theists follow the Bible but some don't follow everything. Like, how in the Bible it says to be baptized with the whole body submerged under water. Catholics don't do that, they just sprinkle water onto babies. Other religions don't believe in the Holy Ghost, even though it's in their Bible. Or the Church of Christ that doesn’t believe in music.

By the standards of their holy book they should go to hell - yet they choose to ignore it. I choose to remind them of that.

I can honestly say That I was raised Baptist. I always hungered for more and when I stepped into a pentecostal church I knew thats where I belonged. I love both religions but for me I needed something more than what I was getting being baptist I am the closest I have ever been in my christian life. I know I will always be judged for what I believe but thats ok to me because I know God and I know What I have felt I have been filled with the holy ghost I shout and boy I love to pray!

I'm a Pentecostal and I am not ashamed. It says IN THE BIBLE that the LORD is looking for true worshipers who will always worship him. Yes, I do admit that we are different from most churches but I love different. And David danced before the Lord.

Try that in church sometime. See if there really is an interpreter, or if it's just the same old gobbledy goop you hear every Sunday. Read the Bible cover to cover and unfold the ENTIRE story, not just the little snippets that make it say what you want it to say. Any idiot can do that.
