  • Yes, your water supply should be tested. Also, you can get a kit for $30 and under at your local hardware store. It's easy and it could save your life. After you get your mitigation system, you should also have your house retested so you know your radon level is at normal. :)

  • do you have to worry about radon gas in our water supply. Should my water supply be tested? Thank you

  • well now i know what to be when I grow up

  • Fantastic! As a radon mitigation professional, I must say this is one of the best radon videos I have ever seen.

BTW, radon monitors, not Geiger counters, measure radon. Folks outside IL can probably get a free test kit from their State radon office or local Health dept. If not, you can purchase one for $15-20 (not $60).

  • This film was created by the American Lung Association of Illinois. You can contact their local offices in Springfield, Oakbrook and Chicago if you want a free radon test kit. You can also log onto the ALAIL website and request a free test kit. The test kit is for Illinois residents only.

  • Called my local chapter of American Lung Association and they do NOT give out free radon tests.

  • .......or you can buy a drsb-88 geiger counter and check radon anywhere any time...or u can buy a radon kit 4 $60 and wate 10 days 4 a 1 time result.....

  • .....or you can get this radon test kit for FREE from your local chapter of the American Lung Association.
