Yes they could and should. But I got strange feeling that something will go wrong in episode 3 :/ I think Gordon will be thrown into stasis once again after finishing the game and he will never see Alyx again or something similar. That would suck ...
There was a half life 2 book that came out before the game showing all their faces such as eli's, kleiner's, alyx's, mossman's, etc. including lots of extras. Look it up if you want idk.
I have never been so attached to a video game character other than Alyx. She's strong-willed, beautiful, and is willing to risk her life for earth. Now THAT'S a woman!

At the end of Episode Two when she's crying, I seriously felt moved by it, as if I was Gordon Freeman, & as if I was there when Eli dies.
