Anyone who is qualified to apply any kind of artificial nail will know that applying on badly bitten nails is definate no no becuase of the high risk of infection possibilly fungal infection
Be warned guys; When l had acrylic nails, my nails were severely bitten and l mean bitten! It didn't last long at all. Two nails fell off within 3 days and the rest started looking horrible. You're better off getting a better willpower to stop biting your nails! l have and it was hard after biting them for 11 years but l've finally left them alone! Manicuring them as soon as they are long enough will definitely be a good enough motivation to stop you from biting them :) I hope this helped a bit!
@butterflyfantasy92 Normally I would agree with you and yes nail extensions don't last as long on bitten nails as regular nails. But IM's do have a far better longevity rate, we've been using them for many years on literally 100's+ nail biters and all say these are the best. I know it's easy to sterotype 'acrylic nails' but these are different :-)
@SocialJorell People who bite their nails don't chose to, it's not like one day I would wake up and go "I think I'll bite my nails today." It's a nervous habit. Also, most people who bite their nails don't "eat" them, they bite them off and spit them out, there's also people with pica disorder who eat odd things for certain nutrients they're having trouble getting in their normal diet.
@dasangelusmortem Exactly. Very well put. I used to bite my nails too...a very bad habit, and extremely difficult to break, though it can be done. I did, and I'm so happy I did too
Hello again. Because the exchange rate between the US Dollar and the GB Pound changes everyday we only state our prices in GBPounds. Just use a currency converter to get the current price in Dollars. HTH's (There are loads just google 'Currency Converter' like XE. com)
gad, i tried cutting my nails short (so that they dont "stick out") and i couden't do ANYTHING, i felt handicapped x3! Cuz, i've had like really strong and long nails since i was around 4-6 years old >x3
everybody's like; "HOW CAN YOU DO STUFF WITH THEM?!". Same to you 3
It's alright and as you keep growing the pillowy end will get back to normal and the free edge won't be felt until the very end of the cushion, the white will grow out and won't start so early and so close to the cuticle.
We have men who come to our salon, The Nail Lounge. One chap is a biker and most of the others are musicians, guitar players who want their 'strumming' hand done. If you use a clear or natural white acrylic and buff the surface to make it look duller and keep the nails short you can get away with them looking more natural. HTH's
Hi. They are a product for professional nail technicians. The training and the moulds are available directly through our website. Go to our youtube page for the URL link to our site or google Inverted Moulds. HTH's
Hi, thanks for your question. IM's are very thin, they are designed to be trimmed to fit almost any nail shape. Bitten nails are simple, we just trim out more of the 'bump' this makes the IM flatter, all you do then is trim equal amounts up each side to get the right width fitting and you have your fit. The system is not 'easy' it does take practice to learn how to to trim the IM, this takes patients. But once you've figured it all out sets are easy to do and the results are excellent.
Hi, thanks for your question. IM's stands for Inverted Moulds. If you look at our other videos you will the technician sculpts all the acrylic 'Down' into the IM not onto the natural nail. They are very thin and actually become part of the finished extension. This gives greater stability and strength to the nail and protection for the acrylic underneath. Yes they can be used on shorter nails. As long as there is some nail plate for the acrylic to grab too they will go on. Hope that helps!
Hi, thanks for your question. The finished nail extension is exactly the same as a normal full acrylic pink and white sculpt, so there is no difference when you come to do an in-fill. The IM is so very thin it easily buffs away as you blend down the edge of the acrylic. The real difference is in the application of the acrylic while doing a new set, in-fills, applying polish and removal are all exactly the same :-)

People with bitten nails have a flatter nail bed and the IM is curvy so what should be done?
