  • did you replace all the rust or sanded and bonded and painted just wondering

  • @bobsaninja

There was really hardly any rust on the car, it was mainly the floorboards which were replaced and new ones welded in, then I went the extra step and painted them black rustoleum...I dont want to ever do that again. What rust we did find we sanded down to bare metal and then filled it in with primer once we killed the rust

  • hey what color is that and what did you pull the seats out of. did you have to lower the floor pans to make them fit?

  • @eatmyjeep

The seats are out of a Saturn SC2, not sure of the year...but it was the top end model with Leather seats. The Paint is from a 2004 GT Mustang: Dark Shadow Grey Clearcoat Metallic

  • @eatmyjeep

Oh and no we didn't remove the top portion of the seat pans, though I kind of wish we did. Instead I got my dad to fabricate a 12 x 12 2 inch thick metal square which we drilled holes into and mounted on top of the existing pan, and then ran the rails for the saturn seat. I can fit just fine at 6' 2" but Lower might have been more comfy, but no complaining here...it works great with my 4 point race harness

  • you should have went to resolve copyright and wrote "Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use."

then submit. you sould have gotten your song back

  • you guys must have some cash to rebuild that beautiful stang from the ground up. love the car

  • @abranidnho10

It was $1200 for the car, which included a 5.0 block, T-5 transmission, bunch of chrome I sold for profit and a whole lotta extra parts. I was able to pay for it off my part time job at an accounting firm while going to College.

  • nice man im working on one of them im at the stage where the next time i see a peice of sand paper or smell bog ill vomit!

    =[

  • I feel your pain brother. I was so tired of spending every weekend on this car. I literally poured blood, sweat and tears into this car. She is a part of me as much as I am a part of her.

  • OMG i love it :)

  • Wait so they sued you for using one of their songs?

  • No, they didn't sue, they just muted my entire video because I used their song. Now this video looks stupid with those random slides flashing in.

  • nah leave the badges off but throw some torq thrusts on it

  • Ha, I would love some TT II's, but at 1000 bucks for a complete set, I will stick with my sixers.

  • Perfect bro, just one thing.... you need to hook that thing up with pony badges.... it looks sorta naked without the pony badges.

  • i like the idea of the matte black rear end, but you just can't debadge a mustang! where did you relocate the gas cap?

and the engine looks great in all black.

i would've done things a little differently, but it still looks great! have fun with it, and never sell!

  • sweet car kinda reminds me of an elenore lol but im currently working on a 70 coupe myself with bored 351 that has 0 miles on it and a brand new trany with 0 miles on it to it also has a holley 4 barlle carb and summit racing cam and brand new flowmater headers and exhaust but i was woundering how long it took to paint yours?

  • nice vid, im currently restoring a 72 fastback, 302 how long did it take you to finish all that?

  • I started in August 2005 and finished it Sept. / Oct. of 2008...so just over 3 years.

It would have been a lot faster, but I could only work on it during the weekends as I was going to school and working alot.

  • god its so beautiful !! great movie :)

    greetings from poland

  • Currently working a 66 myself with a 331 stroker and vortex SC. 2 questions...1st, did you have to use spacers for the rims or was the back spacing and center hole fine as it was. 2nd, what seats did you use and would you thing they would work with a 5 point harness?

  • Wow, 331 AND a SC? Better have discs and at least 3.73 gears to plant that on the road.

    1) Yes, I had to use 1" spacers WITH threads built into them in order to get my rims to fit. Backspacing was just off enough to rub against suspension. I recommend summit racing for the part (or knock out the stock threads on your wheel and put longer threads in + 1" spacers)

    2) Seats are from a Saturn SC2. They work great with my 4 point, so if you run a crotch strap up the middle, they should work.

  • hey im 16 and im buying a 66 stang with a straight 6 200ci and i dont have ALOT of money to spend on this thing. it doesnt have a fuel tank so its not drivable but its supposed to run. i rly want a v8 tho...pry a 302 but idk what to do. id pry spend 2000 on the body/ paint/ interior stuff (dash) etc. but what should i do about the engine? keep the inline 6 or get a 302 for it ?

  • yoo man... lol i feel like ur me.. im 17 and just finished restoring my 66 with a straight 6.. i still got the 6 in it now and its awesome.. im getting 25 mpg.. it isnt the fastest thing ever... but its clean nice and still will move the car pretty good... it was my second mustang restoring.. if you have any questions.. message me.. i no every in and out of them cars ... check out my vids...

  • Unless you are going for nostalgia, get the V8. That is the whole point of restoring/buying a classic Mustang. To be loud and go fast. 302's are cheap. 289's are cheaper. I sold both of my 289's for like $100 each. My 302 was free, and cost me $1200 to bore .40 and restore the block AND heads completely. You can do it, I would recommend the V8, you might be sorry when you dont have the oomph to take off a stoplight next to some cute chicks in an 05' v6er :-)

  • lol thanks for ur opinion. i finally got a car tho about a month ago. its a 68 coupe with a 302 =]

  • what did you have to do to be able to paint your bumpers?

  • Comment removed

  • awesome ride, i'm restoring my '66 fastback (which costs me way to damn much), what colour is yours, i was thinking of painting mine in mineral or tungsten silver but that's becoming way to popular on mustangs, originally it was candy apple red but i want an original look, mine will be more about a look though, cause it has a 4-speed manual (fun to drive with) linked to a 200ci 6cyl (not so much fun) and i plan on keeping it original mechanicly. check out my vids

  • Thanks for the comments. The car is painted 2004 Mineral Gray. I personally like the Tungsten silver (It will show less defects in the body and paint)

Good luck on your fastback restoration. A Coupe was all I could afford back in 2005. This beast only cost me $1200...not bad eh?

  • god its so beautiful. im about to restore a 66

  • wats the song?
