Just looking at this, I think that the way this act works is that the ENTIRE "keyboard" is really just one big MIDI pad that is also just one big button. Each time a ball hits the pad then it sends a MIDI command to whatever he may be using (probably a computer) to play the next incrementing note of a song he had already programmed in. That's just my two cents.
