Thank you Chairman Miller for your passionate and eloquent address. Children with special needs have enough challenges as it is to overcome and do not need additional trauma.
Thank you so much... I was sent to a booy camp when i was 16 and was abused there on a daily basis. it was located in Mexico. i was restrained every day and left to sit/ lay in the sun all day till i got sunburnt and lots more. but thank you for taking the time to help kids that cant help themselves. there are a lot of people who just shove this topic under the rug and seemed to them that it didnt matter.
Thank-you Mr. Chairman Miller! Your closing remarks were so eloquently stated. I have a 5 year old special needs child and wanted this bill to pass. Some people did not understand why. You summed it up very well.
Thank you, Representative Miller. Our country, our families, and our children are fortunate to have you fighting for what is right and honorable. Thank you! There are so many layers to this problem in our country and how to best protect children needs to be at the core of these discussions and votes.
Thank You Miller, this is one of the reasons we are leaving this state. This happened to my daughter who was scared of school at age 5 at a school in Concord, CA. She became seriously afraid of all adults and still cringes when an adult speaks in a scary way. She was normal in everyway before this and all because the school didn't want to call me. It happened over 10 days but will affect her for life. I cannot risk this happening again to her. Adults shouldn't create fear or intimidate.
Thank you so much Representative Miller! This means so much to Jade! Jade was restrained numerous times at only 3 years old without my knowledge. The only way I learned of it is because she was coming home with horrific bruising on her arms. She is 6 now, and in a new school, yet still each day I worry as I put her on the bus, as she cannot communicate.
Thank you Representative Miller! Words can not express my gratitude. Thank you for your passion in explaining the abuse our children are enduring in school. I am the parent of a child who was abused by restraints in school. He was only 7 years old & weighed 52lbs. It has been 3 years but he still wakes up screaming. I cant take back what they did to him but I can make sure it never happens again. I at least get to hold my son, other families can not.
