I honestly prefer this solo the to studio version. The tone seems a bit thicker, and the difference in phrasing of some of the notes, like the fast ascending pattern seems a little more stalled in a few areas and really makes the solo stand out more IMO.

I'm sorry, but to compare Phil now to Phil circa 91-92, there is a clear sign of him straining his vocals. I really do not think he can nail some of those high notes like he used to. Not to slag him as a singer because he still is pretty damn good, but his style of singing/screaming has only hurt his "clean" vocals. He can sing clean low, but again, that high I just can't see.
