Yes, she is an incredible young woman... incredibly easy to manipulate. In the words of BK, "we know that last button to push". Also, "If you think that she is controlling you in any way, you are insane in the moment." Must be a lot of insane children out there.

I think it's good to understand that our mothers have been manipulated by a woman-disparaging culture and often by selfish, controlling, man-ipulative men, but we need to realize when we are in turn being manipulated in a harmful way.

Hmmm... Not sure if we as children are able to make our own judgements and decisions to act in a certain way. Humans naturally learn their culture and values from those around them - primarily their parents. Parents DO influence their children's behaviour.

It's not until we reach a certain age that we are cognitively capable of reasoning and rationalizing what our surroundings have taught us and whether it was right or wrong.

@flyingfoxNZ I agree with others who say that we're very much able to figure out right and wrong, mainly from the way we feel, even from a young age, but that we're trained away from that guidance system very early in life and only begin to re-discover it once we're fully developed and can rationalize through the process.

Even when I couldn't put my finger on what was wrong rationally, I knew good from bad quite well as a kid.
