  • Pyarmid Head cannot drag the great knife that fast

  • see my siloent hill fan film i have five part uo know go see it part 6 coming soon

  • Chilling atmosphere, great use of sound, and top notch story choice! Job well done!

  • Maria come this way! There's an elevator up ahead!

    ....

    *takes stairs*

  • Leon and Maria xD

  • Actually, all the voice parts were much lower than the music... And the girl was pretty hot. I'm just sayin lol

  • Some things were shitty, but overall, this was great. Lisa's interaction audio was drowned out by the music

  • I want "Frictional Games" to work into the next silent hill games, what do you think?

  • Very good.

  • wait, are they chased by a fucking pyramide-headed dude?

  • @Graszczur what? you never heard about pyramid head?

  • @DJMARIOBRAVO Should I? Never played Silent Hill

  • SILENT HILL RESTLESS DREAMS REMASTERED IS NOW OUT CHECK OUT MY CHANNEL.

  • i gave thumbs up but i like your other stuff because its funny

  • I'm currently making an original Silent Hill fan film titled "Silent Hill: Blackout". Check out my channel for previews and music uploads from the film.

  • @RevelationofthePast Hey ya I remember your thread on silenthillheaven forums, when are you going to be done? You've been working on it for awhile now.

  • @JetFaceStudio It's still in pre-production, though the script's almost complete. I've made a lot of changes in the past year, although the plot is basically the same.

Until I find some more actors and crew members, I can't give a specific date on when it'll be done.

Also, the thread on Silent Hill Heaven is no longer being updated, so instead I've made a Facebook page where you can follow its progress...

  • @JetFaceStudio I know some people may be getting impatient since it was announced more than a year ago (in fact, the film has been in the works since 2007!), but I'm really nitpicky, so I really want to make sure that this film gets a proper treatment, especially since it's a Silent Hill fan film. I'm trying to create something original that'll even differ from any of the previous games...

  • I love you guys!

  • Fuck Mary. Its time to go hang out with those other characters. The one who aint stupid enough to get stuck in silent hill by leaving it as soon as you see that big ass sword and candy corn skull mofo!

  • Grats, grats, and grats again. Amazing movie, good made and well based...

    I love this one!

So dudes keep your work, and make other videos! I really love it.

Just one thing, IMHO: sometimes, creatures are too fast compared to the videogame, just this =)

Five stars to you dudes, very well done!

  • YOU NEED TO MAKE MORE..... SIMPLY AMAZING

  • I love this movie ^_^ Amazing, great job:)

  • i like this movie dont get me wrong its actually really well made too but im sure everyone here has mad the obvious observment... Pyramid head is WAY TO FAST it wouldnt hurt if PH was a alot slower please dont take his as a hate comment i just find him to be too quick in his movements is all other than that great vid :) thumbs up if u agree

  • @GaiaChrono Ya I know what you mean but I just found that if he went the pace he was in the game, he would never be able to keep up with james and the scene just wouldn't be frightening or suspenseful if he was a hundred feet away. As well I didn't want to pull a "Jason" where he just pops out of nowhere even though the last scene he was so far away. Maybe with the remastered version I can make a few tweaks to his speed (depending on the shot).

  • @JetFaceStudio a remastered version sounds AWESOME :D but the original will always be my fav :3 (this vid)

  • Beautiful. I happen to be a huge SH2 fan (hence my name :P). However, I think you could have had a larger soundtrack, and put in "Betrayal" during some of the tragic scenes. Anyway, well done, and I look forward to your new upcoming Silent Hill project.

  • gotta say this is one of the better live action films i've seen on youtube, great job

  • @yoDADisSHANE Thank you! Make sure to check back next month for a remastered version of this short film AND a brand new silent hill short at the end of august!

  • OH MY GOD!!!

YOU FILMED THIS IN MY TOWN!!!

    XD

I REGONIZED IT FROM THE INTRO WITH THE CLIPS OF THE CITY!!!!

  • lol i laugh so hard watching this. I wonder why.

  • This was awesome. :D I think it is so far the best fan film of SH2. The only thing is that Maria should act a little more. ^^;

But James was totally hot. ;B And an awesome actor too. <3

  • Great video.

  • The movie was good, but i think there was too much of pyramid head there. Also, Maria's acting is horrible. The part where she's sitting behind bars should gave more sensitive feeling, not just monotonous dialog

  • @TheDropofblood Well for Pyramid head he represents as James' anger and frustration so I wanted him to keep coming back until he finally accepted the truth. Especially when he breaks through the wall, it's like the final impact which causes James to later fall to his knees begging for Mary. The girl that played Maria, I didn't really give her much time to study the part so that's my bad, we filmed all her parts in three days and at the same time learning the parts.

  • LOL, epic blowjob at 07:48

    xd

  • @ShadowClonefox Well in the script all I wrote was rape, and when we were filming it was "Just do a little wrestling, shake him around or something" It's great that you were still able to find something dirty in that scene lol

  • Great effort guys! This is a commendable tribute to the game. The only thing I will say is please get a steadicam or a tripod. Will make your shots look so much tighter ;) Look forward to seeing the next one!

  • @seantownsend01 We had some shots with a tripod, I kind of like the "little" shakiness with my movies :) But the net short we'll just keep on a tripod since some people have asked for it.

  • Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily influenced by the world of Silent Hill and the music of Akira Yamaoka. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!

  • I think you should have put some kind of a dirty darker filter on the indoor scenes, especially the one where it's all orange with the pyramid head. I mean if it's supost to be the otherworld, there should be some special effects. other than than that, the settings were great, along with the pyramid head costume, I really liked when james was being strangled, that was kind of intense! and the story line was hard to follow, but the viewers most likely already know it so, it really doesn't matter

  • I don't know, the building is to... Modern? Clean? It should be dirtier, scarier, darker, more evilish.. Those Otherworld thing. I like the screeching voice the most :D

  • @Aichsewinter actually two of those buildings are closed down catholic schools and the third one is closing down in the next year or 2 (and it's catholic too) It was kind of creepy in one of them cause it was really old (beginning chase scene) lol Finding a building that looks like something from the 50s-60s would be really hard considering the budget was less than 300$ ha

  • @JetFaceStudio aside from all that, i really love the outdoor setting. it's beautiful yet captures the silent hill-ic, sad and lonely atmosphere nicely. the actors are very professional, the costumes are perfectly similar with the game, the soundtrack is also well-placed, etc etc. overall, your movie is the best fanmade i ever watch. :D

  • @Aichsewinter Thank you! :) make sure to stay tuned! Because I got another Silent Hill Short Film coming out this summer, trying to aim for filming in June!

  • @JetFaceStudio is it about lisa's transformation into puppet nurse? that's my favorite scene XD keep up the great work, i'm subscribing and looking forward for your new movie!

  • @Aichsewinter Yep! The scene they left out in the movie because they changed too much :l

  • i fell in love with the girl of the video

  • Realy good vid! :D Liked it realy much! Specialy liked girl who acted Maria, she had same kind of attitude as the character in game! great job!

  • @TheSeasonofmists The sony cam I had didn't have a headphone jack but my new canon cam (it's like a high end consumer cam) has a headphone jack and a mic input but still debating whether or not to use that input or use my micportpro (plug shotgun mic into mac, USB and record audio from there) You must play silent hill 2, it's my fav in the series! It's a hard game to find, lucky someone in town sold it to me for 10$(along with 3 other crappy games that only had a trade in value of less than a 1$

  • @TheSeasonofmists Thanks! We did have a tripod for some scenes but I kind of like having it handy cam style :) But there were some shots that came out a little too shaky (because of extreme zooming!) The sound disappointed me alot because it was alot worse than I thought which is why I bought a Rode NTG-2 Shotgun mic so my next project will sound WAYYYY better. Hopefully it will be done by summer.

  • I love how you can tell on the ultra close shots of his blade that it's made of cardboard and tape

  • @gasattack117 HA ya, as well as tin foil :p

  • HAHAHA! Pyramid just fuckin ripped through a wall. Like the kool aid man. I absolutely adored this fanfilm, loved it, you should try another sometime soon.

  • @Clarie011791 that was the first scene we shot and my favorite as well! Sometime by the summer we should have another Silent Hill short out

  • @JetFaceStudio Sweeeet!! =D

  • I like this. Very fun. 8:01 was done very well! Made me jump and everything lol Good job!

  • x_x I really dont know, kinda feel empty, but I did watch all 13min. The middle part was good but the ending was somehow dull... Just me though.

  • Maria looks like Jessica Simpson! :D though the movie is nice ;-)

  • i really enjoyed this 10 thumbs up for u

  • i LOVE this<3. I look forward to more from you :D

  • What's that song called that plays during James opening dialog?

  • @Foxhound3857 That would be Promise it's a pretty popular tune from the second game's OST.

  • James is supposedly to be blond, isn't he? You could just put the wig on.

  • @ramabima Out of all of the thousands of views I think you are the first person to notice lol

  • nice, but music was too loud, i didnt hear dialogues sometimes

  • the pyramid head just to thin.

  • @theellafull We originally planned to have Pyramid Head like he was in the game, wearing apron but we didn't have the time to create another costume.

  • 6:22 "Not at all, silly..." lol

  • This isn't a bad film really, but the editing is really choppy man. Just my honest opinion. The transitions should be improved and Red Pyramid should draq the sword a little differently.

  • @RCSODA70 I edited the short film in "scenes" in which there was a total of 8, then put them together, its the last two that don't connect on beat but oh well. We did have a few different ways of dragging the sword, plus when I got the sound effects from the game, there was only three sounds for dragging the sword. Not much to work with.

  • Nice film out of all the fan films i've seen that is related to silent hill this is the best 1 by the way where is that place you filmed in the beginning it looks like a nice quiet town i could live in because it reminds me of silent hill

  • @ZombieJohnMarston We filmed in a small town in southern ontario, near the border. We filmed at 3 schools, two that were closed down. The place at the beginning is suppose to be a hospital (The one school looked pretty close to a hospital until the ending of the chase since we had to film that another day which was our last day to finish up, error in geography I guess you can say.)

  • Very impressive for a fan film. Good work. I liked the costumes, location, script, sound effects, and use of music. I do have one bit of criticism though, I did not like the girl who played Maria's performance. She sounded very scripted and there was no emotion in her voice. Jame's performance was very good. Good work guys ^_^ b

  • @RevyReL Well Maria's actress didn't really have much time to study the part, we ran on a pretty tight schedule, and budget. James on the other hand wrote the script and has done some acting before so I got the upper hand.

  • that was amazing! you should make one with the other games

  • @GingaFan422 We got one script done for the first game, and after that we plan to do the room.

  • Guys, that was amazing!

  • This is AWESOME! The voices where a little quiet, but the rest was perfect! Subbed and looking forward for more :D

  • Nice work!! Good use of Shattered Memories soundtrack too ^^ I really liked that version.

    Where is this?

  • i think he should run alittle faster maube in the game he is a real scary guy and it would get your heart even more pumping when he is 10 inches away not 10 meters away

  • @TheArgentraven I wanted to keep pyramid head close to james and maria but at the same time try to keep it realistic, pyramid head is wearing a metal helmet and dragging a sword as big as cloud's lol. well or like any crazy japanese game or anime.

  • @JetFaceStudio no i know but in the game they should have made it closer you know like if you look back it would be your last mistake type of deal. i played the game and im being chased by him then i look back and i say where is he... is that him in that room across the map yea i think that is here let me check (10 minutes later) hey little buddy are you trying to kill me well you can't cause your to slow

  • @TheArgentraven Ya, sometimes in the part of the game at the end of the hospital before Maria is killed off, he usually is running pretty close behind you or sometimes it gets glitchy and he's stuck behind maria lol

  • @JetFaceStudio i just noticed something the pyrimad head has some good muscles

  • I don't mind the pyramid head moving that fast. He did run in the game, didn't he?

  • @johnhelvyakam Ya I do remember him running the same at the end of the hospital before he kills maria. He does move a little more faster in this because we needed him to keep up the pace so the distance between the three would fit on screen and not seem like he's super far away.

  • james in this short had some good acting, maria not so good and this short was oozing with effort! :D you really tried and it shows!! epic work!

  • its good but why is pyramid head on steroids, jesus hes fast

  • @warlockdemon18 well we needed him to keep up so to answer your question, Yes. :)

  • @warlockdemon18 That's about how fast he moves in the actual game in this sequence.

  • wow you did AWESOME!!!! congrats on the great work!

  • This was pretty good, but you should have put the plot in order of the events they happened in the game but it was still very good i give you props and claps my friend =)

  • @Oo1goku1oo Thank you. Well everything is in order but the open credits scene. I was only planning for a 5min film but it doubled that time. Also I wanted action scene to be the opening so I would be able to pull the audience in and keep them till the film is done.

  • wtf lol

  • I am doing a silent hill fansfilm too in June/july, so I want to give you my feedback. your cameral angles and sound desinger are very very good; great work on that front, ok story line. heres where i think it falls really short, there was no real "Darkness" effect used, The pyramid head moved way to fast, and didnt move like he should. lastly the unoriginal music kinda takes away from this being YOUR film. aside from that, good acting too.

  • @Digitalxknife Thanks, I will definitely check out your short when it's done. Before I started this project I searched for fan films first to get idea of how other people would tackle the subject matter but I could barely and by barely I mean I could only find one good short film. I don't know how to use after effects so I would have to create the effects live action. I personally didn't want to use original music cause the soundtrack was already perfect, and thought mixing would be for the best

  • this is the best fan-made SH film ever. I love the pyramid costume by the way.

  • This is really REALLY well made for a fanmade movie :D good job!

If you want the sound you get to be a little better without buying better equipment, I reccomend using mixcraft 5. It's got a 14 day trial period, plus two more days once that runs out. You can mix things into mp3 (only when your on the trials) but when you're not, you can still make files, they're just a file type only usable with the program. You can mess with the audio pickup on it, and add extra effects in

  • @RandomtasticStudios

like Pultronic Tube EQ, which should improve sound quality a bit :)

  • @RandomtasticStudios Thanks for the nice comment. Actually I'm buying sound equipment soon also I know somebody who has studied sound recording so he's gonna be helping out in my next film.

  • good work guys! :)

  • good one but i think pyramid head needs workout a bit :) very good job tho

  • once more - Bloody Awesome dude.

  • good work! ciao from Rome,Italy

  • This was surprisingly good i must say.

Especially the sound editing was a HUGE surprise to me.

I loved the way you were able to intertwine many songs in the beginning chase scene (and funny enough, you used chase music for SHSM in this chase scene :P)

Acting was very good for fanmade, visually was very stunning, narrative is rather difficult if you don't know the story, but still is just clear enough to understand if you think it through.

In short, it was very, very good

  • @angstjager

I love music, and I'm musician myself; as you can tell I can never seem to have a moment where there is no music. When I was first starting this project, I always remembered the music from the shattered memories when you're being chased and I knew I had to use that song; It had alot of strength to it. The only thing I'm disappointed with is voice over sound quality, came out worse than I thought but my future projects will be more improved in that area. (sound recording equipment)

  • @JetFaceStudio

Well, you learn new things when you try something out, so next time you will surely have improved the voice-over :)

  • this really epic

  • great, just the only thing needs fixing is the shakey camera, but the shakey cam does make it look eerie

  • Wow this is great! I hope my movie will be as good as this one :D

  • Thanks for all the nice comments everyone!

  • 04:57 "Observe as I cast a spell over my nose!" Always laughed at that in SH2.

I'm glad to see what devoted fans can cook up. This was quite impressive. Although I would've wanted to seen Pyramid Head in his original SH2 design rather than his movie design. I just feel that it would've fit a lot more.

Thumbs up and 9/10 from one SH fan to another.

  • @gigser Actually we did originally intended to do the game version but due to time restraints, and just wrapping my head around designing of the helmet we went for a mix of the movie version. I gave him eyes instead of just big steel fencing around the sides, I thought it would give him more emotion, well and a face, (even the tiny pipes for eyebrows.)

  • 04:57 "Observe as I cast a spell over my nose!" Always laughed at that in SH2.

  • D: Pyramid Head is moving too quickly!

  • a poorly acted, otherwise brilliant, brilliant piece of work.

  • this was really good. you didn't have much time to convey a lot of story in but you achieved it and it didn't seem squashed. nice choice of tracks in the music too... you didn't just stick to the soundtracks from SH2. it worked well. and like everybody has said, camera, location, costume, scenery and acting are really nice here.

  • @JaneAlanaRoss Thank you, actually I mixed a few some together ha, when editing I had to edit in scenes (8 in total) I had about almost 10 audio tracks for sound, music, and extras; mostly music though ha.

  • Really awesome man

  • This is really well done. While I agree with what one guy said about the narrative being hard to follow, I fully understand that it's designed as a tribute rather than an adaptation. Which is fine. Some of the cinematography here is solid - most of the camera angles were dead-on, the editing was great in some parts, and you really nailed the lighting in some dimmer scenes. Set location was dead-on (HI SARNIA!) and the costume design and acting were more than capable.

  • @NikosiaMateas Thanks. Sarnia always reminds me of Silent Hill since there is always construction that's never finished ha

  • Amazing

  • This was very impressive. I've always said that with the right director, a frame-by-frame live action remake of SIlent Hill 2's storyline would be one of the best movies ever made. After playing the game, I was stunned at the Oscar-worthy storyline. Mad respect for everyone in this short film, it was far truer to the story and feel of Silent Hill than the crappy Hollywood movie. The actors and actress portraying the monsters got the grotesque movements perfectly. Well done.

  • @MountHappy thanks! actually I ended up cutting the last 3 or 4 pages of the script, mainly to wrap the film up since filming was taking way too long. I would agree it would make a perfect movie, Fungo made a hour and a half movie of silent hill 2 (recording of the game in HD, and mixing different music) he did a great job and proves it could work as a movie, just need the right people to make it work.

  • 9:31 OH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  • avgn sent me

  • Brilliant! So so so well done. Nice to see some attention to detail in every aspect. The sound design really floored me as well. Kudos, man! I loved it!

  • Pretty much lost my shit at 9:31

  • @GNoodle That was actually the first day of shooting, about 2 hours I think, we took our time but we had to rebuild that wall, add the flour, then shoot, and clean up then of course do it two more times but we actually had to rebuild a forth time because the wall fell on its own, pretty dramatic too

  • shit was tight son

  • what is that shitty gay ! it's a nurse who can't walk well !! high kick on her head that all !

Short movie is good anyway :p

  • 9:36 Oh shiii-

Haha, honestly such a fantastic job guys. =] As @AlexDergousov stated, everything in the video just fits and works so well.

  • The narrative is a bit hard to follow if you aren't a fan of the game

  • I didn't expect this to be THIS good - kept me on edge for 13 minutes.

The script is really big - i liked how you remixed the different events from Silent Hill 2. This was WAY too professional for a fan film - everything from the acting, pacing, costumes (especially for Pyramid Head), visual special effects, textures that resemble the game, nods, choice of music and the opening chase sequence- display a rare level of polish. I hope more people see this, and i look forward for more from you.

  • @AlexDergousov Thank you, we didn't use any good sound recording equipment for the voice overs but for my next project I will so that will definitely be improved upon. I got a original horror/suspense/drama title in the works at the moment, still in the process of writing the script, along with some animated projects later on. Plus I'm making a big leap from PC to Mac, and other software.

  • @AlexDergousov You're a fuckin troll.
