emo has taken on so many individual meanings to ppl that nobody knows (or cares) what it means anymore... i think it just depends on how its used altho i prefer to use it as the dark sense of cool. yet at the same time, Red has managed to take that darkness and turn it into inspiration

None of my friends like Red at all. They claim Red is completely Emo just by looking into song titles. I think they should look a little depper inside the lyrics than titles. Red ROCKS, whether their depressed, or not. For the record I dont think they are.

All Rock/Metal music is "emo" by their definition.

Emo music is a dead genre so labeling anything emo is false. Plus..emo usually is a bunch of unapreciative teenagers who whine about their "crappy" lives or failed love lives in their shitty screamo songs..which is obviously not this band.

i love screamo. the only reason i've ever heard someone give for it is that they can't understand the words. my response is: try. look up the lyrics and listen while reading them. the words are easy to understand. i don't mind people not liking stuff if they have an actual reason, but if it's out of complete ignorance like that, i say get a brain before you trash talk anything
