I have this pedal, have seen all the demos before and after I bought it, and no one has explained it's potential more fully than you Dave. Just updated all of my presets based on some of your demonstrations. Thanks. I have a new place to come to check out demos before buying new pedals. A real "players" demo.
@Razwithz You just answered your own question; if the overall sound is better, then you can do without all the bells and whistles. IMO, the plate and room sound very alike on both, so the tie-breaker would be that the Cathedral does a better job at emulating springs whereas the blueSky's spring sounds like nothing more than a glorified ping-pong delay. If you're really that much of a sucker for the shimmer and don't care for Spring, well, that's a reason to consider the blueSky instead.
on the presets, how many can it hold? and also say you have a preset saved like you had (short reverb) and you were playing with a massive reverb and for some section of the song you needed a short reverb could you basically press the white button and the short reverb (preset) come on? thanks, Jake
@jakeyboy2929 you can save one preset of each reverb mode, and yeah when you press the mode button ( the white one) the preset will load inmediatly!...this thing rocks :D
@watsontheman just bought mine brand new for £114.00 on the bay, cant wait for it to come, sold both my ehx freeze and alesis quadraverb for this beast!!!
@watsontheman u wont regret man sounds beautiful!...never tried it on stereo but everyone says it sounds gigantic so i will one of this days xD its also very versatile and you can achieve some really nice coldplayish tones (big fan of coldplay here) cheers
@cowboytonydee Because Axe FX is not the greatest product ever to exist. That is the Wattson Superfuzz tied with the Devi Ever Shoegazer, of which neither are in the Axe FX but are in my pedalboard.
This is designed for people who are serious about reverb tone, ambient/shoegaze musicians love these kinds of pedals.
absolutely awesome demo. I have thought about getting this pedal and now after seeing you explain all the features, unlike other demos, I have put it to the top of my list.
@username125418 Not exactly because only the reverb (wet portion) of the signal is sustained. Unlike the Freeze where the original signal (or whatever is put ahead of it), is sustained.
Great Demo !!!

Can I use an expression pedal with this?

That's how a pedal demo should be done. Thanks Dave!

Nice demo, Dave. Too bad the reording was not made in stereo since it's a stereo pedal.

I wish they made the tempo button a preset selector like on the POG 2. That's literally the ONLY thing wrong with this pedal.

I'm between this and Strymon's BlueSky, I really love the shimmer the BlueSky has got, but this sounds much more realistic to me!
what'd you ppl choose? o.O

@underdog7676 - in front. AC30 Handwired doesn't have a loop.

@DAVEWEINER so the "infinite" feature is like having the ehx FREEZE pedal built in to the unit?

I'm using the Flerb in fixed mode, with high resonance. It gives a sound similar to the Line 6 octave reverb.
