It happens. You have a tiny club face, a tiny sweet spot, even forgiving clubs are unforgiving and you play with a very small ball, it is actually amazing that they don't fuck up more shots. Even pros screw it up sometimes. And they play under pressure, every shot.
Don't look too deep into this one just a mishit, probably wasn't prepared. Golf Professionals are not robots and hit it absolutely pure everytime. As for his head movement, its not bad at all he kept it still during and after impact, and besides its not a big deal if he's got some head movement, look at Duval and Sorenstam.
haha-brilliant clip. he really does heel it-basically a shamk with a wood. I used to do this lots. Well, I still do it lots compared with pros-I bet he has done this no more than four times this decade-lol
no, i ment that right afte rhe made impact with the ball, he lifted his head. this does actually increase your chances for duck hooking the ball like stenson did here. I didnt mean his head was on the ball, or behind it.
well.nobody's got more inner demons than the scandinavian players so the odds were he would choke.Hey,I did'nt care who won that TPC as long as it was'nt tiger.
Stenson ALWAYS hits it in the rough from the tee. Then he usually has a buried lie, trees in front of him and his ball is in a divot. That's when he knocks it within 10 feet of the flag and makes birdie. This guy is unbelievable at recovery shots.
Best one I ever saw was Steve Elkington at the Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic around 1999-2000. He had a chip from 10 feet short of the green, nice lie in the fairway, and hit about 3 inches behind the ball. Ball went about 4 feet. Steve pretended he had hurt his wrist. :)
Wow his swing is terrible. Its like he stubs the club on the start of his backswing. I commend him on the fact that he is as good as he is with those weird mechanics.
Just goes to show you how good these guys are. Theres like 10 of these videos online.

I like how the camera guy has to jerk the camera to follow the shot...just goes to show how rare a mishit is for them.

he's a real clubber, really pounds down on it, most of the time he's thumping a 3wd out next to everyone's drivers
