Do you seriously not understand the concept of military might? Population =/= Military Strength. There were 4800 British soldiers who captured Quebec. Not 50, not 50,000, only 4800. The French had some 4400 troops total, including militia raised to fight and some natives. There is no possible way that can be skewed to the "ten times" you claim. Also, sorry about Cook. You are right about there being a large population difference. But militarily, that means nothing if they are not actually employed as military forces.

Also, the point of a siege is to break an enemy without a fight. Both Wolfe and Montcalm avoided action, until Wolfe eventually forced him to give battle.
The British did have more troops, but Wolfe's were the only ones that actually arrived at Quebec, and were present during the battle on the plains of Abraham which sealed Quebec City's fate.
The French counter-attacked later in 1760 from Montreal, with some 1200 more men, a largely destroyed city, and a disease ridden British force.
That was their last victory in North America. Look, I don't give a damn which side did what. What I'm concerned with is that your history is actually accurate.

Wolfe forced Montcalm to come to battle through using that path you mentioned to cut off his lines of supply, including that of new reinforcements.
That is why Montcalm moved onto the plains of Abraham, during which both commanders were killed in the heat of battle.

Quebeckers had almost no soldiers because France didnt meant to colonize this place, all they wanted is make money from animal furs. Completly the opposite of the english colonies

@tonytouchzz This is basic Canadian history. You know as well as I do that is utterly untrue, and if you don't you really need to pay more attention to details. The French could call 4400 troops in total, 2000 being regular forces. The British could bring 4800 to battle. Hardly ten times.
Also, the point of a siege is to break an enemy without a fight. Both Wolfe and Montcalm avoided action, until Wolfe eventually forced him to give battle.

The British did have more troops, but Wolfe's were the only ones that actually arrived at Quebec, and were present during the battle on the plains of Abraham which sealed Quebec City's fate.

You don't have your numbers straight. Those ARE the historic numbers of the siege of Quebec AND the French assault to try and retake it in 1760.
Before you call people out for being a troll, how about cracking a book first? Do us all a favour.

It doesn't make up for the fact we've been giving them massive payouts for years on end, for something that we did not do to them, as a society (modern civilization rejects the concept of collective guilt), and all because our history has been twisted to make us feel ashamed for something we had no part in. I agree with compensation for res schools, as we played a role in that, otherwise, they should look in a mirror and face the reality: we aren't the source of their problems.

Every city in canada earnes revenue from taxes etc. A reservation can not tax any band members for the houses they possess because you can not own land on a reservation. No tax = no Income. Some reservations have no income other than government grants etc. Some reservations are verry wealthy but I'd say most are not wealthy. I also know more non natives on income assistance than I do natives. I am white as white can be but I live on a rez with my wife (native)

They will get housing grants etc. or grants for school etc. They don't just get free money to spend as they please. also If they don't use it they lose it. the money has to be used it can't just sit in the bank. It doesn't work that way. The problems go past res schools etc. Religion was outlawed natives were not permitted to drink alcohal. no more than 2 natives were permitted to sit around a fire. etc.

Most Quebec people suck, seriously. Why do they think Quebec should be its own country? Its Canada's land, mostly Quebec people are selfish anyway.. But no matter, it will not separate from Canada regardless, because Canada would not allow it.
Also, I don't understand why people need land so much anyway. I don't think Quebec would survive on its own without Canada, because they would be a new country and would probably be taken over again. Its better to work together, then against each other.

The french came here to establish peacefull relation with the natives and most of them allied themselfs with the french because they were not a threat to them : they did not came here to steal land but only do to minor colonization and lot of trade as an equal partner.
On the contrary, oin 1759 there was 60 000 french settlers (who won the wars for 250 years of conflict with new england before) while 3 millions of englishmens colonized the new-england by brutally killing all the natives.
