This was performed in July 1976 in Damascus, Syria when he performed at the International exhibition for that year. This was the 3rd time singing QAREAT EL FENJAN. I personally attended this concert :) Later that same evening he sang: Touba, Ahwak, Fi Youm Men El Ayyam, Awel Mara. He was so full of energy on this night, it was hard to imagine that he was just a few months away from his ultimate death!!! Allah Yer7amoh. What a true FANAN!

Abdel Halim is my favorite singer of all time, and really love this song. Today's singers are just lousy wannabees and they're nothing compared to Halim's talent and sensitivity when it comes to singing love songs.

the lyrics are by the famous syrian poet Nizar Qabani. this is not Halims lifestory. he sings that he is seeking a beautifull woman, but the gipsy tells him that he will seek her everywhere but he cannot reach her because she has no address. this woman is palestine.

well the gypsy didn't really tell him the story of this song, he read the lyrics of this song in a book of a great poet and used it for a song. he did change couple of things so that the song would be almost as similar to his live. so if you understand the lyrics you'd see it's as if he sang about his own live & he loved only 1 girl whom died of cancer he never loved anyone but her so i hope that's enough answer 2 your questions.if there's anything you'd like to know dont hesitate to ask

i think he only loved one but her parents wouldnt accept him at fist bu tthan after 4 years they did, but before their wedding she died cuz of some decease. but rumors say that he was secretly marride to souad husni.

Ilove this song,because he is basically telling his life story about what gypsy told him and all of it came true or it had already happened to Abd Al Halim.It is very scary that everything came true.

Abdel Halim was the best arabic singer ever lived. No vocalist can duplicate the way his style of singing performs. His voice is so remnant and melodious. Not even Hani Shaker who tries to imitate him!
