Fiats have much better 1.6 engines, the 100 16V is much better then the 1.6 Zetec engine hands down. The miles per gallon is 40-45 in a 100 16V on a light foot, thing is Fiats are so finely tuned and they never waste any drops of fuel. Focus 1.6 zetecs only manage 35MPG tops for a 98hp engine whereas Fiats will do a lot more then that on a 103hp 1.6. My Fiat was amazing on MPG for an unleaded 1.6, it never burned much at all. Emptying the tank under hard driving was very difficult to do.
I currently have a focus tdci and previously had a bravo jtd and do not agree that the ford focus has better handling ...
The difference in speed is too much to be a Bravo in 1600 and focus 1.6 and a focus. The fiat has better engine... 103cv and 16v the focus 90cv and 8v. At least in Portugal is so. But very nice video ;)
@keluztug Maybe Bravo wasnt pushing it as hard as Focus did, this is just a normal road. But focus is the best handling car in class. Read any review and you will see. :P
@keluztug Had a Bravo 100 16V in a HLX too. Very gutsy little petrol engine I've never known a 1.6 like it. I've been through a few 1.6 litre engines in my time and nothing compares to a 100 16V. Its more like a 1.8 (Almost) it canes all the other 1.6 litre engines on a 90hp output like the Astra and the Escort, mine certainly did. The low fuel consumption on return MPG was unreal, it was more like a diesel. You'd get 40-45 out of it very easily, it was spot on with refinement and well tuned.
i like the video, sure fun driving with you. have a focus too, 2000.year grat car, good breaks and so on, really good for fast driving , controling the car and so on... enjoy!
k&n and rear silencer might gain 1bhp seriously though, do research on the 1.6 zetec se engine theres no point in buying one to upgrade as you cant get much power out of them unles you use forced induction by means of at least throttle bodies and a decent map wil cost you an extra £2000+ and u will only get about 170bhp max for that aswell unless you do other serious upgrades. sorry budy but i wanted more power but its not worth it, mini cooper s is much better and easier to gain power bhp's :D
Nice video. Im from CZ too and i have focus with 1.6 too and air cotton filter by GREEN. I agree with MichalFofo. New sport filter dont increase power very much, but sound is beautiful. In my opinion power is insreased when you plug out cable behind air filter but difference in power is little. Do you have anyone experience with supercharging 1.6 zetec engine?
Mirosalv1o1 actually i have the same car put the key in with out turning then press and hold the reset button turn the key on and the car on and keep holding the button til the test comes up you can go through all the diagnostics. Including digital tac and speedo.
You can unlock tahometer on your lcd display : hold brake pedal and pin for kilometer reset at same time , while holding this two together insert key and turn to contact , after few seconds on lcd you have some mesage with leters and gages will do full circle like on motorbike , when you see this release pin and pedal ,and then you can start up a car , BABE is first what says under the kilometers , each time pressing the pin you will have diferent test or option , turn off engine , ends test.
Im quite concerned at trhe ammount of BLIND corners you just cut, assuming there wouldnt be anything coming. The speed you were going you could easily have stayed on your side of the road.
Im really surprised that Fiat Bravo 100 handled that well on such a twisty lane, I was expecting the Focus to hit its boot in the corners! I had a rare 100 HLX like that one & it didn't handle bends for shit! The steering gets loose & fidgety on them after a few pot-holes. If anyone has a Bravo they would know @ quovardiss: I hate Ford cos I had a Connect but saying a Bravo is much better than a Focus is like saying Kia are better than BMW. Fiats have a much worse/flimsy chassis & build.
Its a Black SX & judging by the way its shifting away its a 1.6 100 16V. I should know because I had 3 of these babies before I got myself a Seat Leon FR. I had a dark Blue 1.4 12V SX (shit box) then I had a sky Blue 100 16V (heavy-stiff clutch) & then my last Fiat Bravo was a sporty little Jet-Black HLX 100 16V something like the one in the vid but with blacked out windows. They are cracking cars for less than £1,000 A++ gearboxes A++ engine. Shit electrics, Shit handling, & Shit build though.
Good driving buddy, Nice to see someone posting vids like this, very good driving, Just purchased a 2006 Ford Focus zetec climate in moondust silver, 5 door hatchback, 1.6 litre petrol engine, get it next week, cant wait to take her out for a spin.

i think the bravo is muc better that the ford . i had a 1.6 Bravo Trofeo and it was bluddy quick .
kept up witha 2.0 20v Marea weekend , out cornered a Mini cooper S and is better on fluel than my freinds 1.2
alround Fiat is the best, focus is supposed to best handling in its class but in my opinion the bravo is better

yes its stock! only performances is KaN BOX air filter and final part of exhaust :-)
MichalFofo 3 years ago
so it has more hp?
stalkerpro1 3 years ago
I don`t know. Absolutely the sound is better :-)
MichalFofo 3 years ago
True)
stalkerpro1 3 years ago
I wouldn't call it "hard drive" exactly... you barely had the speed to take advantage of a Focus' suspension
mtoczynski 3 years ago
nice driving, nice videos!
stalkerpro1 3 years ago
you both are dumb and should be canned for reckless driving.
Driving at that speed in the middlle of houses with ppl.. imagine 1 kid getting in front of the car.. or a dog or whatever.
Real drivers use tracks for that.. only dumb ppl drive like you both did in normal roads.
Draugkir 3 years ago
Yeah a dog or kid could damage the car.
Anyways good vid keep up the good work.
