Because Colossal squid live so deep underwater the pressure kills it.

So if we where somehow able to capture one and have it in a big enough tank or something udner water...Perhaps we could slowly get ti to the surface and have a live one for the first time.....It may be veyr wrong ...,but we could always try breading it up here so we can study them for a short while or something.

at 32 i was expecting the Colossal to come alive and eat his \ brains out. NOBODY. And i do mean NOBODY messes with sea creatures >=(

in theory the colossal squid grows much larger than that.

Fascinating stuff. The larger Colossal Squid has just been revealed to be a female. Eggs have been discovered in the ovaries.

The scrunched up one is a larger squid and unfortunately you can only see the legs of the other
