in fact his name really wasnt Gandalf, it was a different name which i dont know, sounded latin but they changed the names and how you pronounce them because it was to hard in the film to say.

i think that the story in the game is that after he comes back. Gimli tries to take back the mines of moria and the best defence against the balrog would be gandalf
