  • Imagine you're hearing that song while traveling through the white mountains together with your father...I did it last year! One of the best moments in my life!

  • What genre of music is this ????? Some on let me know.

  • @AUDIOSLAVE59 Google the soundtrack and then maybe music type, that should be enough.

  • @AUDIOSLAVE59 It sounds Celtic almost

  • @wa67jr I think the original is actually a Celtic song...

  • @PickBit I think the same, always thought this was some Scottisch or Irish music

  • What version of this song is this? the on on the OST that I have is like 6 min long and is nothing like this.

  • Thank YOU!!!! The version I had was under 3 minutes and I always thought it was too short. This is just one of those songs you don't want to end.

  • Had 4 inches of snow bear hunting this fall... I was tracking a bear half the day and was slowly catchin up. Had only half hour of daylight left so I said screw it... decided to run the track and sacrifice stealth. How badly I wished this song was playing when I was running.... never caught up to him though.

  • @cntryboycan Tough bow, with what; A bow, gun, spear? Fight a bear with your fists, then see how mighty you are.

  • @Scorponizer I'm sorry... you must have mistaken me for someone who cares about what an anti-hunter thinks.

  • I have this on my jogging playlist, and when it kicks in, I feel so epic.

  • I always get goosebumps when I listen to this. This soundtrack is so beautiful. I feel it in my bones and chest and want to be part of it, whatever that may mean!

  • @1022misha Truly an amazing song my friend, absolutely brilliant.

  • @1022misha We cry with you fellow men. Hail the great British Empire! For freedom!

  • It's pretty much just the same thing over-and-over again. Yet it is so epic & moving, it is without a doubt one of the best musical pieces out there. Pure brilliance.

  • Ya think....? Already have relatives buried there.

  • Great Song!

  • Who am i?! Iam a champion

  • From where I stand, I shall retreat no farther. I will drive a stake into the ground and tie my ankle to it. There shall I stand to the very last - in victory or in death.

  • @Texas008 spoken like a true Patriot of freedom and I salute to you in respect.

  • This music opens my soul. My blood is of them lands no bullshit! Never stepped foot there. I will die there.

  • @TheNinjarascal It was filmed near Asheville, NC not in northern NY in case you go buying a plot.

  • They dont make music these days like they used to.

  • I listen to this song when I do my homework, and my shit gets done.

  • @21silverdiamonds yeah, I listen to it when I learn, too, but it makes me think about running through forest with tomahawk...

  • I've seen this movie countless times since I was a boy and my father would watch it about once a year. Up to this day I still get goosebumps every time this song starts playing.

  • @yuca247 Me too! My dad loved this film and I always did too as a child because he did. The subject matter meant more as I got older but I still watch the film because it reminds me of way back when :)

  • I just listened to this 3 times in a row.

  • i love playing games like call of duty or gears of war and halo to this music it gose good with it

  • @billyboytennis Wtf? If it weren't for us, Nazi Germany would be RULING the world right now. They would have discovered the Abomb first and it would have all been over.

  • @Tsimfuckiss To get into geek mode, that's factually untrue. The reality is even if the US hadn't gotten involved Germany still would've lost, they never had the resources to conquer the world. Also, what prevented the Nazi's from getting the hard water (made in Norway) needed to make the Atom bomb was a few Norwegian rebels boarded the shipment vessel and sank it with info provided by British Intelligence. The Nazi's gave up trying to make the bomb after that to focus on the ground campaign.

  • Man every time i listen to this song i wanna go shoot my flintlock lol

  • i just read a bunch or comments blaming this and that but you are all looking the wrong place.its the hand behind governments and royalities, the bankers at the time from spain england and france all related wanted to occupy the ameriicas and well the world they pushed and financed all wars all attacks and invasion america aswell as most countrys are under occupation but not by another nation.

  • I can't stop listening to this or any other song from the soundtrack

  • Impossible to dissociate the scene and that master piece of music!

  • I do wish we would have left the natives in georgia though, incorporated them as a state, or something, like what we were going to do with Oak. before gold was found there. lol

  • why did I just discover this now? my life is now complete.

  • @revolution09pac have you seen the film? watch it!!

  • Im of Anglo European descent . Which means im white. But i am disgraced by what the white "settlers" did to the Natives. Dumbass ( Andrew) Jackson with the Inidan removal acts and the Trail of Tears. Then Custer and his " Last" stand. It just doenst make sense. Are we trying to "ethnically" clense the U.S. of the Native population? If you say yes then go see a physco you bigots.

    My RANT IS DONE !

  • @AK49Gunner As opposed to living in a world where STD's are almost impossible to not get, nuclear war threatens our future, enviroments are dying, and human instinct is at its lowest......yea i take this NA time period any day.

  • @davidsonbasser

You don't think native Americans had STD's? They certainly had more widespread disease in general then we do today, and again, would you want to live a in world where almost every family loses multiple children to disease and hunger? Indians were not living in a Utopian environment either, remember North America used to have wooly mammoths, which were hunted to extinction by man long before those evil Europeans showed up. And LOL@ "human instinct is at its lowest". wtf lol

  • my favourite song, reminds me of our troops fighting in afganistan and where i might be deployed and may die for my country

    Great Britain

  • 27 Hurons disliked this

  • una musica meravigliosa!! una orchestrazione perfetta di musica.

  • I love this tune

  • @NorseCrusader sorry but you are idiot that dont see what british did to the americas , study more Industry revolution and will see!!!! and this is not astrology friend!!! who were british to stopped anciant ancestry of Indian people!! all and more did during their conquers in the colonys abroad!!!!

  • @Liemwolf

Where where the Germans to 'stopped the ancient ancestry" of the Brit, Scot and Welsh people when they invaded the British isles? Or the Han Chinese when they invaded and moved west? Or the Russians when they kicked tartar people and eskimos out of their land? Or the Turks when they took the Greek's land, or the Lombards (germanic peoples) who invaded Italy? And on and on. America is not the only nation that existed on land once used by another, so stop whining you stupid cunts.

  • @AK49Gunner yes!!! you are right!!!! my responded was about the other racist comment!!! I am a defensor of human ancestral and its for all the nations who invided and colonony others nations, iam against of all those acts, forgive me if i spoke only of british, it was in answer of norsecr....and of what the invaders of the colonys did in our continent, the Americas,....!!!!!! but in general a lot of crimes were commited during that time and then of course too!!!

  • Everyone was jealous of slaughtering innocents, all over people were killed for being witches or believing in a different religion. The aztecs/incas have their blood sacrifaces for their gods. The brits brought over slaves but eventually they abolished slavery with the US doing it in the 1860s. The civil war was faught over alot more than slavery. The south had different views and seceded away from the union so lincoln brought them back into the fold, slavery was a good moral excuse to do so.

  • @NorseCrusader

lol.. are u serious, they may have burnd widows the british burned traitors whole peoples and witches. and on and on...

the british kings had the whole people as their slaves, btw france started the revolution not britain.. u build streets, thank u so much ... becaue the poeplr didnt know how to get form A to bB before the british people came...

and dont give me the bullshit of democracy, tolerance and civic duty even now not all western countries fully adapted those ideals....

  • @Hellwyr You have very little education, it shows. I don't argue with people like that.

  • @Hellwyr Wait. "keltische musik"??? HAHA!!!! You are German! You have some nerve to criticize Britain. Achtung Juden, remember? HAHAHA!!!!

  • @NorseCrusader

  • @Hellwyr Burned entire peoples, what are you talking about? Are you insane? Burned witches, of course we did. So did the whole of Europe and the rest of the world! We were the first to stop that when the age of Enlightenment came. Yes, they couldn't get from A to B before we came. That's why immigration was unheard of before we opened up global trade routes.

And about Democracy, we do not have pure democracy, but it's better than living under a theocratic state or a dictatorship, like Hitler!

  • @Hellwyr

u have to learn the conolisation of irland lasted till 1700- 1900 and even today (northern irland) the english are also the reason why the celtic language collapsed in irland the same goes for scotland they prosecutated the scots so they had to flee to america (nowadays in canada is a big community, i actually now a girl from their) the plan clearance i think thats what t was called.... the so called british empire is the english empire and not "real" britain

  • 26 people have Parkinson disease and twitched out a dislike. Sry for ur condition people we know ya didn't mean it :-) <3

  • @Jester879 Now it's up to 30, Parkinson's doesn't take a break.

  • @MortiisFaust LMAO

  • @Hellwyr And the invasions of Scotland and Ireland took place in the early middle ages. When the British Empire was built, it was built by English, Irish, Scots and Welsh side by side.

If you want to learn, read some history books. Not Communist era propaganda textbooks from the Soviet Union!

  • for me it means that no matter native eurpean or whatever people u belong to they are all the same and can work together for freedom and peace even if in the movie they failed becaue the world around them was and is in war and wasnt ready..., but at least they tried...

I think thats what tehe author of the book wanted to tell us

    we all are humans

  • @jashshah

The whole life is a kinda "war area" itself my firend..

  • The Very Last Mohican? Hasn't really got a ring to it. But you could string together a load of outtakes from something terrible like Jersey Shore and give it this soundtrack, I'd still love it.

  • @TheSimpleJim Sorry, but no way in hell anything this beautiful should be associated with Jersey Shore, except maybe music from Beavis and Buthead or something else of that retarded ilk.

  • Hands up if you been waiting for "LAST OF THE MOHICANS 2"....abeit for a long time?

  • Im Irish, but I wish I could swap my life for an Native Americans back long ago before any White Man came to America and destroyed everything they touched.

  • @DaveFordie i'm both and i know the beauty of both our cultures and the struggle of both. Talk about being discriminated against, my grandfather from ireland and my grandmother Cheyenne, and never fitting in anywhere, but then i feel nothing but pride when I think of my roots. Brave warriors, Strong of conviction and hardworking. Could anyone ask for more than that when they have a loving family?

  • @DaveFordie

LOL You want to live your entire life in ignorance, hunger and cold, praying to the great spirit that your family survives the next season, or that your new born baby doesn't die before its first birth day, like your last one did? Go ahead I'll fund your time machine. lol

  • @AK49Gunner I wouldn't exactly call the native Americans ignorant...."

  • @CaesarforChrist

Not in the insulting offensive meaning of the word, but in the classic literal meaning.

  • @AK49Gunner In that case, I think I'd agree with you then.

  • @DaveFordie And still are!

  • @DaveFordie wow man REALLY??? you should take a good long look at what "the white man" has built in this country,im a native american cherokee by blood and i find your comment too be closed minded a little bit.

  • @DaveFordie The grass always appears greener on the other side.

  • @DaveFordie really man? do you have any idea anout the native history in the US? all you have to do is look at how they killed bison before firearms. they would drive the entire herd off cliffs, took what they wanted, and the rest of the beasts were left to rot! white man didn't ruin this country! we improved it!

  • @DaveFordie stopping hating on yourself man, just look to the future for better things and everyone's ancestors had at least done some evil in history

  • Comment removed

  • @DaveFordie Why would you want to do that?

  • @DaveFordie I wish I was Irish and swap my life for Gaelic back long ago before any englishman came to Ireland ...

  • @Gehenna71 Not only was that era and society exceedingly brutal and terrifying contrary to some peoples romanticized view of it. But also, technically, what you describe... never actually existed.

  • Biologically speaking, humans have not changed much over the past 10,000 years. Which means that deep down you are still genetically programmed to go out, hunt something down, cook it over a fire and then go raise a war party. Music like this seems to be able to bypass all modern thinking and tap into those same primal urges.

  • Amazing song

  • It never has to end.

  • Thank you for posting this version! It's much, much better than what was included on the original soundtrack.

  • i get butterflys in my stomach when i hear this.

  • this song makes u feel that ur running and shooting at the same time... while your saving somebodies live.

  • EDL ANTHEM!!! good against evil .. NEVER SURRENDER!!!

  • This is the song that plays in my head when I am taking a test and I have no idea what to say for one question..

  • Out of the million plus hits on this song, I'm pretty sure over a thousand are mine!

  • love love love love.

  • This song makes me want to walk up to an irish man take him by the head of the hair and kiss the shit right out of him.

  • @thechileanpoet And an Englishman composed it .

  • @darian007able Ya I know, I get it. the story is alsoin england and whatnot. I just have a thing irish men :P

  • @thechileanpoet good to know i'm not the only one who thinks Ireland when ii hear this.

  • @ODST104 Yeah I always thought it was strange that they used Irish themed music for this movie even though oddly enough it fits perfectly.

  • @viperdude281 It's actually not Irish, it's Scottish, composed by Dougie MacLean, who is a musician/composure of Scottish traditional folk music. This song was adapted for the movie from his song titled "The Gale", which was composed by Dougie MacLean as a traditional Scottish instrumental.

  • Chills.... The way the Gods speak to us.....

  • @TheNinjarascal I'm pretty sure that's not what chills are.

  • How can you dislike this?!

  • if only the like button said love :)

  • PERFECT

  • Comment removed

  • Beautiful!!!!

  • SouthPark

  • Great music for making out...

  • Can someone tell me what origin of the song this is related to or is

  • @F4stFow4rd25 It's in the title, dude.

It's part of the score from The Last of the Mohicans (1992). Specifically, it's from the chase/fight scene at the end of the film.

Damn good flick. I urge you to see it.

  • @MrRazorz Well seen it was Irish, Scottish, or Native American but wasnt 100% sure, thats y i asked

  • epic. gives me goosebumps.

  • After I listened to this I went to go beat up chuck norris

  • can someone please tell me where I could buy the full version of this song. All versions on the scores are much shorter than this

  • @Stiffkittens01 why would you have to buy this song? just file convert it. go to google and type in, "file converter" click a good looking link, put the url to this vid in the box and click convert. free and simple

  • @DeathRuninVerminator because call me old-fahioned, but I like to do things the legal way

  • It also has something special and unique only a real fan of real music with no competition, no care in the world what others think about it.

  • I just found the song i heard when i was about 15 years old, could NOT get my brain to stop playing it, even now,... This brings back so many happy memories of my past, it kinda makes me feel great to know this song after alllllll 10 years of searching i finally found it and i thank you for putting this up and sharing it...

And in fact i have had dreams of this music and woke up and it was gone and it made a bit sad. Because this song has not only SOUL, SPIRIT,Courage.

  • Appeals to my Blackfoot and Gaelic ancestral nature, and this is why: "The lilting main riff comes from a tune called 'The Gael', written by Dougie MacLean, the Scottish fiddler. Trevor Jones adapted it for use in The Last of the Mohicans, adding those long slow notes that fit so sweetly over the riff when the two are played together, hence the soundtrack titles, 'Promontory' or 'The Kiss'." -- Jenny O'Connor "The Hot violinist" of Circa Paleo -- check out their performance of this song !!!

  • Stirringly beautiful and powerful. It's no wonder Disney choose this song (the "Top of the World" version from the soundtrack) as the greeting for their Wilderness Lodge at Disney World!

  • Does anyone know where Ican get the full version of this song???

  • @snappydog357 Google it.

  • @snappydog357 this is the full version you silly goose xD

  • if i was a boxer or ufc fighter i would have this as my ring entrance music

  • Comment removed

  • 26 people didnt become a champion.

  • 2:07 in, wow
