That is some awesome waves at the start! Some really great surfing. The paddler at 1:08 - that is IMHO the best example of kayak competition surfing on youtube.

2:46 - this is why kayakers get a bad rep. This is a DROP in. After realising his mistake he appeared to back off the wave only to continue on???!? Very poor to see this in a competition of this level.
