I remember the video where George Younce did his version of Side By Side back in the 90's. It's good to see the tradition being carried out by Aaron McCune.
ok well ive met josh turner and he can sing effortless G1s look up King of The Road Duet with Randy Travis and also in his live versions of Backwoods Boy instead of ending on C2 he slides up from A1 VERY strong his C2s and be B1s are some of the strongest ive heard in any bass recently
I knew Aaron when he was 14 years old and he could sing as low as any pro bass. Small guy? George Younce may have been shorter than Aaron. I agree that Josh has good low's and I like his singing, but your comparison is a bit askew.
@EasyDuzzIt85 seriously??? Josh Turner cant hit an Eb1....and ive seen Aaron hit them SOLID.....Josh maybe can hit A1 if he slides but i think hed fry it to be honest
Wow, I never realized Aaron had such a deep talking voice. What do they call those guys who have normal talking voices, but very deep singing voices? Like Goerge Younce, or Tracy Stuffle. Just curious. Thanks
They're still basses! Haha! With Aaron (and Tim Riley), they sound (to me) more natural singing very deep than most other basses...that's just my opinion. Tim and Aaron just sound like they 'belong' in the lower range...I have an audio clip of a 22 year old Aaron McCune hitting an E1...and easily.
you probably know the series of low C and double low C of user JOWOX on youtube... that would be a bomb... could you give it to him? or to me and I shall give it to him... If you would agree... just please let me know...
when did he write this song. George Younce sang it to, back before 2004.

@caj54321 I'm pretty sure he didn't actually write the song...just part of the comedy routine. ;)

George did this song during his last appearance with Bill Gaither. He passed not very long after.

its neat to hear a guy that small emit sounds like that. i bet head to head Josh Turner would own that guy tho

Eh...I have a feeling you are underestimating this young man. This video doesn't BEGIN to display Aaron's richness and range.
