  • I think the McGregor fight at the end was so-post to be that way, tough when giving the orders out(or has a gun) shit-bag when he has to get his hands dirty.

  • @xenomorph1980 Good point, but his character did pull off some pretty fancy moves in that fight. It was unbelievable and against his character that he was even able to trade blows with Carano for a minute. The way it was cut together lacked the raw brutality of the previous fights. What a great last line to the film, though: Carano jumps down and Banderas says, 'Shit'! Cut to black. Haha!

  • @MovieMentalist just seen a McGregor interview and he said the fight on the beach was a last minute decision at the end of shooting the film.

  • @xenomorph1980 That's really interesting! I was actually going to suggest that Soderbergh may have been torn between a more believable ending, where McGregor doesn't put up a fight, and the more climactic ending, where they do fight, but I didn't want to be presumptive. This kind of confirms it for me. Do you have a link to the interview, perchance?
