As much as I love the 2.0T the put in these things I would rather them turbo the 2.5L 5-cylinder in the base model MK5 Jettas and put that in there. I can't get enough of that 5-cylinder sound and plus the 2.5 makes more power without the turbo. The car would make a little more power that way by turboing it. That's just my opinion. But good sounding exhaust man.
@PIchillin456 what is awsome about the 2.0t is that all you gotta do is have yourself a computer flashload wich you choose what stage you want and you can get anywhere from 200 to 340 horses... way less bucks and trouble for equivalent and safe performance
@riderunion The biggest thing for me is that the 2.5L sounds so much better than the 2.0L Turbo. Yeah it's much easier to modify a 2.0T but I can't get enough of that 5-cylinder sound. Plus they already make a turbo version of the 2.5L found in the Audi TT. I just think that it would be sick.
@PIchillin456 oh i know what you're saying, thats why i went with the vr6 instead on the 1.8t on the mkiv platform, and i couldnt give much a damn about money since ive been given parts from local sponcors who want they''re decals on the car, basicly all i got to pay for is for the actual kinetics stage 3 kits, all my internals tranny build and misc hardware are paid
@riderunion Lucky fucker haha! I've actually seen a MK5 GTI that had the 3.2L VR6 engine from the R32. The guy even put twin turbos in it. The car was sick. Even had a 6-speed manual. Something that the MK5 R32 was lacking. I can't remember if he used the whole drive train or kept it FWD. I hope he swapped out the whole thing. But anyways it was a slick ride to say the least.
@PIchillin456 sounds like an awsome build, basicly what's the difference between twin turbo and single turbo is the boost lag time, a twin turbo vehicule with have 2 smaller turbines that spool up faster than one single big turbo, therefor almost instant boost. since i don't have any further education than a high school class in automotive, i rather play safe and do with what i already know, 1500 r32's in north america = not much knowledge on em
@riderunion Yeah twin turbos are good like that. I'm actually currently studying to be an Automotive Technician in college so I know enough about that kind of stuff. They did put that engine in other cars though like your car for instance. We're talking about the exact same motor here. Just with a bump in power is all. However if the entire drive train has been replaced that's where issues could arise. Although they do put the 4motion AWD system in other cars so it may share parts for all I know
Ya that doesn't sound like performance exhaust either. It especially doesn't sound like a deep sound out of a 2 liter engine..............sike. Wtf is rgOr talking about. It sounds pretty good and its not even broke in yet. Haters hate
Hey man nice vid. I think you might be the first to post this. Been trying to get one on VWvortex for forever. Im saving up for the same car to buy it in August and was looking at the Borla catback too. Sounds good. Do you have a downpipe installed in that vid as well or just stock? Would you mind making any more of those clips when you got the chance? Maybe a drive by or two? Thanks

@PIchillin456 vw and audi share every engine platform, vw=4motion audi= quatro. those are some added bonuses to the same exact engine tough
riderunion 10 months ago
@riderunion Yup. Works out. They share the same chassis too for the most part.
