  • This song is more relevant now. But again, it never loses it relevance. Thank you

  • Popular Northern Soul dance tune - especially at school discos- ah the memories! ktf

  • great track , shame about the fade out at the end.. would of been nice if it had a proper end..

  • Grandiose sound. Can't be repeated anymore.

  • Bravo to Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong - proving that they gave us hell on those backgrounds - just a wonderful version of STONED LOVE

  • thanks for this

  • Is it any wonder Frank Wilson became a Minister in later life? There is a strong spiritual element in all of his songs. Amazing.

  • I agree with pandallama

I have met the three girls who sang Stoned Love, they were defianately The Supremes,as i have never met The Andantes.

  • Wonderful-appreciated song even more--and teriffic pics! Thanks!!

  • Its what motown is all about Goosebumps?????

  • A hell of a great tune by the greatest girl group ever. No matter how many times I hear it makes me feel young and gives me hope.

  • Send shivers down my spine after all this time!

  • Thanks for posting!

  • BEEAAUUTTIIFFUULL........

  • This tune was released by Motown on October 15, 1970, and it peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1971-

  • Actually it peaked on the Hot 100 on December 19, 1970 at #7. It hit #1 on the R&B singles chart on December 26th.

  • MY bad - thanks for the correction!

  • No prob! Glad to help. :-)

  • Nice!!!

  • what a great song thx man

  • Gave me Goose bumps...Lifted my spirits...lovely.

    many Thanks.

  • Classic! Thanks. Have loved this song since it was released.

  • This is one of my favorite 70s Supremes songs - back in the time after Diana Ross left the group, they began to establish a soulful sound!!!

  • I wish a gospel choir somewhere in America would perform this in church and record it for Youtube. Because ya'll know that the dramatic middle eighths in this song are straight from the Baptist church and scream spirituality and faith!!!

  • :) Nice...

    Never heard this version.

    Thanks.

  • @68NYC Came Out In October 1970 as Motown 1172 and written by Frank Wilson & Yennek Samoht

  • this is great- probably one of the finest , most soulful middle eights of all time. Would love it if you had instrumental of Kim Weston's version of Helpless?

  • Mary and Cindy are singing background on this, not the Andantes...can't you hear it?

  • I wonder if these artistes knew they were fronting the worlds 1st supergroup?

  • You are so right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love how you can hear cindy so clear! She is amazing on this! Mary comes through, nicely, also!!

  • Frank Wilson, the Supremes' produce at the time, only used the Supremes. He never let the Andates touch this. Plus, the harmonies on this are to natural and earthy to be the Andantes.

  • oceanbound222 yes they are supremes, FOR FUCK SAKE STOP SAYING THESE THINGs YOU ARE A CUNT NOW FUCK OFF

  • @pandallama1234 YT does not need people like you. Your comments are a million miles from the peaceful messaage of these terriffic songs. No wonder your account has been suspended.

  • @pandallama1234 - Oh dear.

  • Is this available on CD? Or is it a HDCD?

  • Love hearing Mary and Cindy so clear on the backgrounds!

  • okay admit it, you have a small penis. don't be bitter my sweet. find a hobby.

  • You're so fucking jealous of the Mary Wilson the Supreme, Supreme...it must eat you up daily! LOL!!!!
