sometimes when I have my fits, a couple of sneezes also get thrown into the mix! Happened once when when I was walking along a crowded footpath at the shops - I was bent over, feet spread wide apart while in convulsions, snot coming out my nose while coughing my ass off!!! Got a couple of funny looks :D
@WhackAss84 Lmao! I didn't realize that until now! She sounded like I did during my last PFT's! One of my friends was there to witness a fit, she gets worried when I cough.
It sucks that this seems so foreign to me. I have Cystic Fibroses, but for 26 I'm still pretty healthy. I used to gather with other kids at the camp they do in the florida keys, but I haven't been since I was 18. I feel a little cut off, and very detached from the reality of my situation. I workout daily, have a pretty normal physique, and even practice kick boxing, but I'm noticing these fun little coughing fits more and more.
aaw poor thing.. my boyfriend has CF and even tho i see and hear him cough all the time im never really used to it.. my friends freak out when he coughs infront of them and i just pat his back and smile just to let them know he is totally fine that its just a coughing fit...
I love how we all sound alike when we cough:) Makes me feel connected to the rest of the CF'ers. There just nothing like a bunch of CF'ers coughing together:D
@WhackAss84 Haha. I have Cf also.. and it gets on all my friend's nerves when I cough all the time. I just tell them,"Hey your lucky I'm not sick(like contagious) cause if I was i would cough on you!" They are alwayslime Shut-up, I can't hear what the teacher just said!! :P
I have Cf, but I don't cough like this. I feel totally diconnected now.

My daughter has CF and she is getting sick so often that when she is caughing so much I feel like helping her. God bless you and keep fighting.

I have CF and I can be stopped when i'm walking down the street/hallway ect.
I have my coughing fits all the time. while im sleeping, walking, running,
andd my friends don't realize that it actually hurts me. to cough as hard as i do.
