Dyslexia- My Story

When I look at a page of book with lots of writing, I see rivers of whiet spacing. It kind of looks like thin white trickles running down the page. Could that be a sign of vasual stress? I'm also very slow at reading and have very little reading chomprehension.

I'm getting tested for dyslexia in a month, what dose a standarised dyslexia test consist of?

What help do you aquire with GCSE'S or SG'S ( Scottish Standard grades)?

Also do you get aditional time to complete exams?

Eventhough I get great grades in class tests (this somtimes makes me doubt that i'm dylexic) , I'm still terrified about exams which basically decide my future, extra time would be great becase i aways hand in tests incomplete and/or rushed which looses me marks.

That was such a cool video, and that script learning idea looks great for people who aren't dyslexic too, can't wait to try it :) Out of interest, do you get any sort of allowance for spelling in your English exams? In Ireland you get a special thingy if you're dyslexic so you don't need to worry about spelling

@MrMarksguitar yeah if you have a "statement" which a Title to say that your Dyslexic. You get 25% extra time on all Exams and also 1:1 help during class time. The script idea works sooo well mate! First of all well done for getting b grades :) and also i have never been diagnosed with dyslexia but i have always thought i have had abit of it coz i cant spell that good and i get words muddled up when i read, plus i do get very distracted when reading a book. I also see words and say sometimes say the word that is after it rather than the one im ment to say?. Take care mate :)

I'm dyslexic too. :) I take forever to read books, it's really annoying, because I like books.

Have you tried that thing where you read words which our jumbled up? I found it really easy because of training my brain to un-jumble stuff. If you get what I mean. :P
