In response to your question, yes, I am a Jewish believer in the Messiah. There are quite a few descriptions in the Tanakh that Yeshua fulfills, Students debate them all the time. But, you don't have to use specific Scriptures to get the big picture of G-ds Plan: 1) G-d chose to reveal Himself to the Jews, (Abraham was to be the "father of the multitude", 3) Yeshua came into the world in fulfillment of prophecy to reach the world, 4) Abraham became the father of the multitude. Tovia means 'the goodness of G_d' but not every Tovia is G_d. The Jewish people suffered the loss of the Temple and the destruction of the Jewish commonwealth, followed by an incredible 2000 of exile, just as Jesus said would happen, when he wept over Jerusalem foretelling the impending doom. If Jesus was NOT the promised Messiah, how does anyone account for such a severe and heavy handed Judgement by God, together with an incredible 2000 year exile following on from Jesus' rejection and crucifixion. God told the Jews that if someone comes along and tells them not follow the Torah they are a false prophet (Christians say Jesus said we don't need the Torah anymore). God also told us that if someone prophecies something and it doesn't come true that person is a false prophet (Jesus said that he would fulfill the messianic prophecies in his generation. only 48 seconds into this interview and I'm surprised at what I hear! Strobel starts off by saying that guest 1(Tovia Singer) "regularly skewers christian evangelists" then says that guest 2 (Rosenberg) worships like a Jew (meaning like those in Judaism - not a race), but believes Jesus,a man, is G-d. @MrDonai77 isaia 9 refers to hezekiah, isaia53 is not about a messiah but about the servant spoke of in the servant songs of Isaiah, if you read from chap40, on wards without paying attention to christian chapter breaks, its obvious the servant is Israel, especially since the servant is called Israel by name numerous times. Tovia means 'the goodness of G_d' but not every Tovia is G_d. I was a bit disappointed in the lack of time of this interview. Tovia did not get to explore whether Mr. Rosenberg believes that Jesus is God, a prophet, or just the Messiah in the guise of the Suffering Servant. Moreover, they did not discuss the authority to hold whether the Suffering Servant is in fact the Messiah. Isaiah mentions many "Servants" and they are not all the Messiah.

There is really no other explanation - HaShem was stood before Abraham as a man. BTW I have read it in the Hebrew too!

@sarahj35 and if you really think that jesus is the messiah, then why does it say in Ezekiel that King David is going to be the prince of Israel forever? interesting that Isaiah 9:6 fits better with this statement made in Ezekiel rather then Jesus of the NT....where jesus says that NO i did not come to bring peace but a sword to turn mother against daughter, father against son etc.

@yomamasofat87 You think David is to be called Mighty God?????A Child is to be born and this can only be Jesus. And Jesus is the Prince of Peace - peace with God not amongst each other, at least not yet!

@sarahj35 besides sarah have you not read jesus geneology? it says that jesus was a descendant of jechonia which if thats true then jesus would never be king because that lineage is cursed by G-d.
Jeremiah (22:28-30) cursed Jeconiah that none of his descendants would ever sit on the throne of Israel:
