Nothing wrong with canned food if you have room to store it & you don't think you'll have to move it. Dry beans & rice pack more calories per pound of storage, they take up less room, + if you loose power & your apartment freezes, the beans & rice won't freeze & split like canned goods will. Nitro packed beans will last 20 years too. I had beans & rice for lunch. If you cook it with proper spices and add a bit more water (with brown rice) it's tasty and not too chewy. Add a bit of cheese too.

Here's an experiment for you: Try to rehydrate a small about of dried fruit to see how you like it. If it is a success then you can save space with the dried fruit. Also the dired fruit should be easier to hide.

If you know any highschool physics you will calculate that those steel beams weighing thousands of pounds had an initial horizontal velocity component of 55 to 60 mph. Then ask yourself this question: what can instantly accelerate steel beams weighing thousands of pounds horizontally.
They "say" the upper portions hit the lower portions with force and made them collapse. If you hit a nail with a hammer, though, the hammer will slow down on impact, then there will be a transfer of energy.

In terms of your preps, I'm glad you're still keeping up with it. I think your choices are OK, except for the size of the cans. In terms of them being transportable and viable for the size of the group each can is going to have to feed, they're terrible. If you're single or there is just 2 of you, you don't want to have those large cans. You're assuming that there will be regular power and that you'll be able to afford to pay the bill for whatever power you use. I'd buy smaller cans.

I did this exercise after watching the building 7 collapse. (any fool can tell that one was demoed). I looked at collapse footage of WTC 1 and noticed steel beams at the top of the tower being ejected sideways and landing approximately 500 to 600 feet from the base of the tower. Then I got out my old college physics textbook and did the math.
From that height those steel beams would have to have an initial horizontal velocity of nearly 60 mph. The math doesn't lie. It is not possible for steel beams weighing thosands of pounds to be ejected laterally at 60mph from the top of the tower in a gravity driven collapse. Thanks to the great american education system for all the ppl that cant understand this simple exercise in basic newtonian physics.
I don't think there is anything wrong with cans as long as you understand they are an intermediate food storage until either shit gets better or you are planting food to eat. Now living in Alaska I don't know how well farms do but maybe you should build a green house? Get some seeds and plant some veggies. Get good heirloom seeds and store them in your freezer as well just in case.

Nothing wrong with canned food if you have room to store it & you don't think you'll have to move it. Dry beans & rice pack more calories per pound of storage, they take up less room, + if you loose power & your apartment freezes, the beans & rice won't freeze & split like canned goods will. Nitro packed beans will last 20 years too. I had beans & rice for lunch. If you cook it with proper spices and add a bit more water (with brown rice) it's tasty and not too chewy. Add a bit of cheese too.

One other comment. I remember a while back you said Obama bailing out corporations is "corporatism" and not socialism. I would agree with you if the bailouts were HANDOUTS, but the government OWNS banks and GM, so to me it IS socialism. Now there's some bill S-187 whereby the gubment wants to OWN people's ponds, lakes, creeks etc. without the landowners being compensated, but still having to pay taxes. Look at the bond rates WE have to pay to borrow though, very high! Pay no attention to 'bond auction went well', its what we have to pay to sell our debt! And 11 billion is nothing compared to what we're spending, hell it doesnt even cover a months interest on the debt. Also look at the shorter 10 year bonds, that one fell flat even with a 3.88% payout, no takers. Also dont discount the fact the FED is the major purchaser of our treasury bonds.

Here is what did it for me. Watch video of the north tower collapse. Note how far from the base of the tower those steel beams land. If you know any highschool physics you will calculate that those steel beams weighing thousands of pounds had an initial horizontal velocity component of 55 to 60 mph. Then ask yourself this question: what can instantly accelerate steel beams weighing thousands of pounds horizontally.

In terms of your preps, I'm glad you're still keeping up with it. I think your choices are OK, except for the size of the cans. In terms of them being transportable and viable for the size of the group each can is going to have to feed, they're terrible. If you're single or there is just 2 of you, you don't want to have those large cans. You're assuming that there will be regular power and that you'll be able to afford to pay the bill for whatever power you use. I'd buy smaller cans.

The functional purpose of charging Von Brunn with "Murder" INSTEAD of "Terrorism" is that:

i agree with you on just about everything except your take on Glenn Beck. I think you should do your own research on certain radical groups here in the US.The 9/11 truther group has been an anti-government project in the making. They dont want to blame any islamic group, but rather the government and the Jews.Sounds ridiculous right? it is, and its true, which is why its so ridiculous. Some people are just nuts. There is also a white supremacist movement that hates Jews while supporting anarchy.

Aren't you rather bold to characterize so many people with such a broad brush? No two "9/11 truthers" beleive exactly the same thing. The group is as broad and diverse as any other group you could compare it too. The only thing they all have in common is that they are skeptical of the 'official' story that the gov't put out.
Just look at bldg 7. How did it collapse? And why did the 9/11 commission report fail to even mention it? You don't find that suspicious?

I did this exercise after watching the building 7 collapse. (any fool can tell that one was demoed). I looked at collapse footage of WTC 1 and noticed steel beams at the top of the tower being ejected sideways and landing approximately 500 to 600 feet from the base of the tower. Then I got out my old college physics textbook and did the math.

From that height those steel beams would have to have an initial horizontal velocity of nearly 60 mph. The math doesn't lie. It is not possible for steel beams weighing thosands of pounds to be ejected laterally at 60mph from the top of the tower in a gravity driven collapse. Thanks to the great american education system for all the ppl that cant understand this simple exercise in basic newtonian physics.

I don't think there is anything wrong with cans as long as you understand they are an intermediate food storage until either shit gets better or you are planting food to eat. Now living in Alaska I don't know how well farms do but maybe you should build a green house? Get some seeds and plant some veggies. Get good heirloom seeds and store them in your freezer as well just in case.

If you are single, or alone, or by yourself, with no one, etc; you should get the smaller cans. The reason for that its obvious, you dont want to open a big can just to eat a portion and leave the rest to spoil if you have no electricity to power your fridge. IMO.
In my case that I am not alone, have a lovely wife, a daughter, a son, and company; I need those big cans so its enough for all of us; me, my lovely wife, my daughter and my son.

pt. 1: WTC building 7, which wasn't hit by a plane, fell in 6.5 seconds. this can only happen if the top of the building is in free fall with no resistance from the lower parts of the building. a building contructed of steel doesnt just implode on itself. The Open Chemical Physics Journal reported finding active nano-thermitic material (highly explosive) in the dust of the WTC.
