does anyone actually have such complex photo display needs? seriously... just scroll through them or put them in a folder or a screensaver, upload them to the web.

its a good idea, but cant really think of any application which requires that much of a touchable interface for a desktop PC yet.

your dad probably got the $699 version. The cheapest version of this Dell Studio One 19, has no touch screen capability.

check and see if the processor in your machine is an Intel E5200, if so, it is highly likely your dad got the "untouchable" version.

Or to make it easier, ask your dad what was the BASE PRICE he payed for this machine.
