  • /watch?v=01mDYBgH_nU

    musica a alma cultura brasileira

  • What a honor... for Sinatra.

  • @oihebailfhqbefg

I love your comment, it's right to the point! Jobim is THE genius, together with Joao Gilberto, de Moraes, Baden Powell, Stan Getz (!) and many more. The Bossa Nova music is an unbelievably beautiful monolith. It's musical structure is to be felt under the skin, with a deep respect for it's soul. IMHO it does not match at all with the special timbre of Sinatra's voice, which is fine with North American songs. Same with the otherwise great Ella Fitzgerald.Compare to Astrud G.!

  • @oihebailfhqbefg A mutual honor, I would say...

  • @oihebailfhqbefg I love Jobim (and Lins, Bonfa, etc.) but it's not an honor for Sinatra to performer with Jobim as he is one of the best singers/entertainers of all time

  • @oihebailfhqbefg lol..you idiot.

Sinatra made jobims music by his singing.

  • @oihebailfhqbefg Sinatra introduced him to the U.S. public...what an honor for Jobim

  • @2c1496 - NO ! what an honor for sinatra, a mere singer, to be allowed the honor to sing a genius's songs !

  • i love bossa nova... jobim is a genius....

  • What would the 20th century have been without Frank Sinatra and Billie Holiday?

    One hates to think.

  • @orson15 Less, much, much less.......

  • Nos states isso é chamado de jazz... tão tá então....

  • @nwalds - ditto. @RickSeraf hahahahahaaaaa!

  • olha o nivel dessa performance simplismente emocionante!!!

  • how Frank lights up that cigarette...

  • @DJTrancenergy, thanks. Sinatra is the greatest entertainer of the 20th century and Jobim is the most underrated composer of all time. Here they are together!!

  • LOVED IT!!!

  • Niether of these guys understands the music, they have no feeling. Nor do they have any sense of the lyrics. And look at the way they're dressed;, black tie, clean shaven, no ear rings, no facial hair and no tatoos. They don't compare to the artsists of today, like 40cents, JV, M and M's, Lady Da Da etc

  • @onrputt amazing sarcasm

  • @onrputt are you really serious, man, 40 cents has te be 50 cents at least if thats the one you are referring too, you should get re-educated on the facts of music...dont even know why i bothered to react to your ignorance...nevermind, you'll never get it

  • O que o samba não fez pelo Brasil?

pode crer que ele fez mais que qualquer político

  • sinatra is the greatest singer ever and of course antonio carlos jobim muito bem

  • MUSICA E VIOLÃO,TOM JOBIM UM GENIO! JUNTO COM SINATRA,FICOU GENIAL!

    CARLOS FRANÇA/RIO.

  • I love Sinatra. So many guys can sing better than him, but no one can STYLE like him. His charisma is so evident. You want to BE him, if you are a guy looking to go to bat for Team Hetero.

  • Those two guys could go into a bar, drink your scotch, steal your women, and there's not one damn thing you could do about it.

  • @RickSeraf

See my comment. Das what I'm talkin' 'bout.

  • @RickSeraf That was the BEST .

  • @RickSeraf

lol, maybe back in the days, today days some will put a cap on their a--

  • @RickSeraf Nailed it on that Rick

  • @RickSeraf yeh , Gary Coleman did that to me years ago.

  • @RickSeraf Right on... I am a musician and I had more than my share of women. They seem to just gravitate to musicians. I always wondered how non musician men got laid so much. I am sure that there are many other ways... :)

  • @RickSeraf 27 men had their women stolen.

  • @ir2mean let's say 27 men's women changed partners...:)

  • Terrific stuff! from a bygone era!! A PERFECT 10!!

  • 5:46 for the win.

  • one word: amazing! they are (yes, ARE) the best

  • love it! so much class

  • wowwwwwwwwww

  • Tears in my eyes....

  • Muito bom!

  • americans are really really stupid(cultureless), they just can see nothing, but their fucking big belly

  • @rafsccp Maybe, but because of Americans like me you are not speaking German and living in a concentration camp !

  • @GodinAxeMaster A true single digit IQ :)

  • OH, I CAN SEE HOW MUCH THESE TWO MASTERS REALLY ENJOY AND FEEL THIS MARVELOUS MUSIC...THAT´S MY KIND OF MUSIC TOO!!!

  • @LFEFP

First is "Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars", second is "Change Partners", third is "I Concentrate On You" and the last is the timeless "The Girl from Ipanema". All are available on the album "Francis Albert Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim"

  • @whiteweasel13

thank you my friend ... I was very anxious waiting for that answer ... you mademy day ... thankz ;-]

  • @whiteweasel13

Thanks, I had been looking for the lyrics, and would only come up with Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars and The Girl From Ipanema

  • @LFEFP The two other songs sung here are old standards from the American Song Book of 1940s

    Change Partners

This is from an old Ginger Rogers / Fred Astaire Film called Carefree" the song was written by Irving Berlin

I Concentrate on you is a Cole Porter Song from the 1940s

  • cant you see

  • last you dance

    every dance

    i love this music

  • Man, I certainly wish I lived at that era, screw modern time.

  • I have no objections in not liking these two artists... However, i sincerely hope that you people that marked " dislike'' at least respect them as great masters of the world music.

  • Maestro Jobim is just great. The best composer ever for me...
