This clip from Apacolypto is just bringing an Eye opening Message, with No discriminations towards any group of Native Tribes or where they came from. LISTEN to the message from the "Old Story Teller" with your Hearts. This movie has Actors and Actresses from alot of Native Tribes. Like many untold stories of Native Americans, this gives some insight of what may have happened to this Peaceful Tribe. I loved the beginning and ending of this movie. Wish it could be Peaceful again. Nai'a
request you to from the time ancient ,puranic times ,there may be mistakes of one or two persons .mistakes would have been due to bad wisedom ,bad thoughts or bad fate and were not born with enough fortunate with good qualities not to commit mistakes and sins which made sinner and sinner and could not come out of sins . due to that others also victims .at those times itself some wise peoples would have taken proper steps for betterment that mistakes should not be repeated
There is no "A" in "hundreds of tribes". Why is it so hard for you to understand that there was no "United Nations of the 'Native AMERICAN people'", which comprised of the said tribes/people, and whose borders would later inspire the U.S.A's borders? Don't forget, "America" was the name given to TWO continents, NOT a country. Think about it. The Apaches, Mohawks, and Aztecs inhabit 3 different countries on the same continent, North AMERICA.
@drki11joy123 I just thought they were completely different civilizations? Mayans, Inca's, Aztecs, Native American Indians? Their art and buildings are different, so is their culture. I don't understand how you can say Mayans and Native American Indians are the same when there are clear differences in their culture. This video depicts the Mayan civilisation, not Native American Indians? Anyone have answers?!?!?
@mrmogony123 Why do you name specific tribes (Aztecs, Mayans), and then right after use a blanket term (Native Americans) to describe HUNDREDS of different tribes and cultures? Which Native American cultures are you trying to compare to the Aztecs, Mayans, Tlaxcalans, Purapecha, etc? The Apache, Cherokee, Wamponoag, Cree, Lakota????
@drki11joy123 While I appreciate your reply, I certainly find your approach rather abrasive. I was merely asking, wanting to know more, not challenging or trying to insult. I previously hadn't thought of the Mayans, Aztecs and Incas as tribes that were considered to be Native American Indians. I thought Native American Indians were a people existing where America is now, with many different tribes but sharing the same culture. I'm not an expert, It's not my heritage. Cut some slack.
@mrmogony123 in native america there is only about 12 or 13 main clans, and these clans have variations in dialect and custom with extreme variations with those who's lands were taken by the imperial shadow monarchy beast that is western society, for example; there is the dine or dene or ndee who also go by the name apache navajo haida ect. you have also the quieche speakers, mayans incans aymara hopi zuni, also the algonquein like iroqouis onieda cherokee mohawk, great spirit is our teacher.
@drki11joy123 He is correct in his assumption that there is a difference between Natives of the US and Mesoamerican natives of Mexico and Central America. While they are related in certain aspects, they derive from a different bloodline and are therefore not considered to be kinsman like the North American (US and Canada) clans are. Even when a Native refers to "Native Americans", he is usually referring to the North American classification.
Wow. Again with (ignorantly) lumping hundreds of tribes/people into a handful of imposed, colonial designations/labels; and your ignorance is so bad that you think that Amerindians' bloodlines are distinct enough to call them "different"? When in fact the god dang near OPPOSITE is true. LOL. Amerindians are the most genetically homogenous race on the planet. Next you're going to tell me that only a fraction of Europeans can be called/considered "white"
@drki11joy123 I'm speaking mainly from a genetic standpoint. Yes, there are indeed different types of "European" phenotypes aside from what we call "White"- there is a major difference between nationality and genetics. And this means that no, not all Europeans are White, especially considering how much their genes have been mixed over the years due to colonial invasions of neighboring continents. Being from the same continent does not equate with being from the same gene pool.
@bink In the case of the Amerindians, yes, being from the same continent does equate to genetic homogeneity. I am obviously talking about "original/ethnic/pure" Americans (Indians) or "original/ethnic/pure" Europeans; not people of mixed back rounds. Okay, so you agree with me then: the differences between a Mediterranean and a Nordic are similar if not equal to the differences between a Mayan/Apache (both generally on the shorter side) and a tall ass plains Indian, like a Comanche or something?
@drki11joy123 That said, I did not mean to suggest that the Mesoamerican gene pool was completely distinct from that of the North American tribes, but there are still genetic differences. The farther apart these tribes were the more distinct they were. Even the Inuit population is heavily influenced by Asiatic genes, which is why they are considered the most distinct, and that wasn't recent either. S. American tribes have Pacific Islander ties that the rest of the Natives don't have as well.
@drki11joy123 I mostly agree that, yes, Indigenous Americans are probably the most homogenous and genetically uniform people in today's world (barring the Cherokees and Metis, of course).
Anyway, What did you think of the film? I actually really enjoyed it (despite the fact that I'm not really the biggest Mel Gibson fan anymore lol!) and thought it was technically very well made and effective.
@drki11joy123 Also, have you heard of an Inuit film called Antarajuat, the long runner from 2001? I'm really interested in Inuit/Aleutian culture and wanted to see it, but it's not on any site except for short clips. Guess I'm going to have to check around for it...
NOT defending what is right is the problem and will make every Man and Woman lost souls.
We are in the beginning of a new time where the people demand only with their mouth like a mouse squeeks and end up loosing everything. Their souls and freedom.
This idea of everyone must silently agree with us or you're against us and if you disagree then you are a terrorist is BS.
The idea that we are all brothers, we just live in different ares is so true.
Yes we been brainwashed or programmed to think that there is only natives in the socalled u.s.a.With all these cowboy and indian movies, when the reality is there is far more natives south of the border.
This elder is right. Man seems to have a hole in him that seems impossible to fill, when he gets one thing he wants more until he realises he must pay.
