But that was in Tehran. What destroyed Iran was Islam, and what ended monarchy in Iran was its Constitution of 1906 which made every law subject to Mullahs' approval. How many people IR has killed since they took power. Shah only killed 383 people. It is a matter of public record now.

Yes correct. The Shah was an extreme nationalist himself. Traitor and nationalism/patriotism do not mix. So how could he had been a traitor? He wasn't. It is amazing how ignorant people are. From the start since they kicked his father out, the Shah knew that he had to not isolate himself from major players such as France, Britain, and USA until Iran was strong enough and Iranians behind him. What? It was Eisenhower who fucked it up. Even though the Shaw was a million times better than khomeni, we didn't have the right to meddle in their affairs. We should have just left the original government in place instead of installing the Sha in 1953. Just because Carter was president, it doesn't mean it was his fault. We're nothing! and okay lets say shah killed 150 thousand iranians, how many iranians do u think the government now has killed?! Millions and millions of people! Some you don even know or hear about! And they use the religion with everything they do! They are executing thousands of children every month for reasons that arent even true!!

For the Kennedys he remained always a hideous dictator. Edward Kennedy was very much against giving him asylum in the US after he was kicked out.
Sadly, today owing to the present brutal regime he is thought of with nostalgia. But the US and UK choose to forget of the democracy they overthrew in the 1950s in order to reimpose this monkey as a king to exploit the Iranian people and look after Western interests.
Iranians should think of Democracy and not another dictator in a fancy uniform.

None of the US Presidents had any respect for any of the shahs, as with the Marcos couple or the Danish/German clowns who used to call themselves the kings of the Hellenes. This is reflected in the ease with which the US dumps them once they become aware that their hegemony could be served better by a more promising investment. yes but atleast when shah was in the rule people had alot more freedom, the government wasnt ran on religious beliefs, we looked like a powerful country and all the other countries were in alliance with us :) Look at then and look at now..Look at how loyalty we were then and how dirty our gov is now.

Well I mean I dunno every single detail about when shah was in the rule so I'm not going to argue with anythin u're saying but all I know is that even Americans think that we were so loyalty then and if you ask Iranians almost all of them want to have Shah in rule again, but then we do have to consider that he WAS a dictator , but people had more freedom than they do now.
