@All below comments: I agree with all of it. I especially get annoyed when people throw in the word "kawaii" when the comments are full of non-Japanese speakers and all that. But I wonder why that of all words has caught on? And then it's no different than other words that have gotten borrowed and then integrated into English. Every single word with "-tion" is from Latin. The problem is the people that use it(like the one who used it here) are detestable.
To each, his own, but saying it is no different than throwing in slang terms to mean another word in the English language. For example, "like" is the new "um" or using a word from the new season of the hottest reality show, and we all know how annoying that is!
@bamnick77 Yeah, I'm seriously tired of people being obsessed with "the culture" and think they're some how closer to it by throwing in random Japanese words that they easily picked up from watching too many episodes of Inuyasha. As well as them acting as if watching anime makes them part of some kind of sub-culture.
@VincentPrice111 I usually play games, and it seems mostly that digesting down anime is not my favorite thing ( I usually read the manga first, but very seldomly do that)
But I'm totally agreeing with you guys. Even these days the weeaboos are now repeateaing "Pray For Japan" cuz they care only for it's animation industry and not their people. (-i_i-)
My bro though had watched over 57 anime series and now can speak a little bit of japanese- sometimes he throws it about to confuse me.
@KonaKonaKaabisteru I've watched a lot of anime myself over the years, and I haven't ever done that. My friend used to swear at people in Japanese to confuse them because he thought it made him cool when they greeted his words with a strange look or something.
Of course, what's happening in Japan is terrible, I won't pray because I doubt that will do anything but, I do feel for them.
