  • the boys are back in town... i rate that one right down there with 'muskrat love'.

  • great vid....!!!!

  • the first song is my ring tone lol Queen is meh shit, Zeppelin is my fave band though

  • RAMONES N°1!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I grew up on ZZ Top! I was born in the late 80s but i was raised on alot of 60s 70s music and i wish we had more music like this now a days =^_^=

  • I was born 40 years to late :( I hate todays music and im 13, stuck in a generation that will never understand true music. All my friends listen to that new beepy shit, where this is all i need.

  • 1234!!!! LONG LIVE THE RAMONES!!!!!

  • Ok, this is SOOO the best 70s compilation on here, you're the first one i've seen that has STYX!

  • WHERE THE FUCK ARE JUDAS PRIEST?

  • And B.O.C always sucked live. But overall some good stuff

  • sweet??? followed by Zeppelin - thats not how i remembered the 70's rock scene!

  • do an 80s one with bon jovi wooohooo!

  • glad to know Rush is in there

  • Why is Steppenwolf on here.. Born to be wild is 1967. .In fact, there's a few 60's bands and songs in here.

  • Where IS Mountain,Rainbow,BAD COMPANY,Scorpions,UFO,Status Quo,

    Free,Judas Priest,The Faces,Humble Pie,Motorhead.

  • How are they calling the Ramones a rock band?...That wasn't real rock...Van Halen, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath..now that was rock of the 70's

  • @luckeychuck13

    It's punk ROCK

  • Ah for the days of virtuoso musos, who sat down and designed their songs as opposed to just pumpin 'em out. Not that all the 70's music was good though. Remember the Carpenters? I'm trying to forget. But the rock bands and the prog rock bands were brilliant (except Kiss they were and still are just crap, just my opinion though)

  • LOVE Boston! Reminds me of so many memories 77-78!!!

  • 8:46 LOOKS GEDDY'S HAIR D:

  • Hard Rock = Mountain

  • yahoooooooooo

  • 3:31 YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!

  • Dont fear the reaper

  • this video is missing defnetive and influential bands like

    1.rainbow

    2.Whitesnake

    3.pinkfloyd

    4.the runaways

    5.the who

    6.scorpions

    7.the eagles

    8.judas priest

  • @mirzafofy Pink Floyd it's not a hard rock band

  • @MyNameIsPABL0 listen to songs like young lust, one of these days and sorrow you will see that pink floyd is hard rock in some parts

  • @mirzafofy and also "The Nile Song", "Not Now John" but anyway... several heavy tracks don't make 'em hard rock band.

  • @MyNameIsPABL0 then what makes a band a hard rock band??

  • @mirzafofy If Justin Bieber will record a song with a hard rock riff, then you say that he's a hard rock artist? Pink Floyd is a progressive (in early years - psychedelic) rock band.

  • @MyNameIsPABL0 hahaha I wonder what the chances are, of him recording a hard rock song.

    BanTheQuran . com / TheAngel . com

  • what is the name of the song at the beginning

  • @Nirvana368 stone cold crazy

  • Comment removed

  • where in da fuck is the who?

  • The only two i seen that didn't belong there was "Born To Be Wild" , That song was released in 69 on the soundtrack of Peter Fonda's "EASY RIDER"1969. 2nd was Jethro Tull, Tull was not considered to be hard rock artist.

  • Paladin , May Blitz, Spirit, Dzem, Free, Bad Co, Rainbow, Triumph, The Guess Who, The Who, BTO, ..........

  • No sir, they definitely were not hard rock....no offense at all :)

  • @MrPinkFloydism Some of them.

  • @nootjeuh sir....I don't care that much about geners and ho they are defined...I grew up in a very rich musical time....years and decades ago....I know what is hard rock when I listen to it...it is a gut feeling....and to my own gut feeling at that time, the Eagles didn't fit into "hard rock".....a really good band, but no hard rock as compared to these real hard rock bands on this channel...God belss the uploader and the good old times....100 db not less :)

  • I'm 13 AND LOOOVE These music :D

  • Its called stone cold crazy

  • @stewart229

    Thanks :)

  • What's the name of the first song? I'm a big Queen fan but it seems I don't know this song

  • 5.35 the incredible hulk lol:)

  • David Gilmore, Syd Barret, Roger Waters ring any bells?

  • Good job. Thanks wide for the wide range. Sorry 23 people liked lady ga ga

  • good rock!! just like in the 70's!!

  • I see they saved the best for last....

  • You just got this from fricken stuff from guitar hero...

  • nice compilation... + camel , eloy , wishbone ash would be better :)

  • Boston's a good band, but More Than A Feeling is about 40 decibels from being hard rock.

  • LED ZEPPELIN ALL THE WAY!

  • I love letting the video load to full then clicking around the time scroller randomly :P

  • watch?v=46CNp89_52Y

  • Van Halen - Running with the devil??? I definitely don't want to run with this guy!

  • Where's Pink Floyd?!

  • AND SLADE.?????????

  • and wheres Triumph?

  • Where is Bad Company??

  • and the rainbow??

  • @MrPinkFloydism

As to the floyds genre, Rick Wright said it best "People hear other bands and know their Blues or RnB, when they hear us they just know its The Floyd" Seems most people want to call them Psychedelic rock in their early era, then progressive rock later on. If i had to pick a genre I'd go for oxygen, coz i couldn't live without em...

  • I was a teenager in the 70s. Isn't it interesting what we considered hard rock back then?

  • @aaron...No sir you're right. Pink Floyd is not hard rock...but I am not Pink Floyd and I like very much the hard Rock of the 70's...that's why I thanked you.....

  • kiiissssssss yeahhhhhh mother fockers

  • you know when you have good music taste when your 15 and you know 95 percent of these songs

  • Uria heep...Just love it :P

  • Kiss had the biggest impact on the music seen and the generation at that period of time. KIss took over the world. Love em Or hate em, at least everyone was talking about them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Steppenwolf is one of the best! Dude thx for adding them to ur list :D thumbs up for ya))

  • No..... Who, Stones, Floyd, Eagles, Skynyrd, Springsteen, Tull,,,,,Epic Fail

  • Led Zeppelin ... of Course XD

  • that song of ramones' what was its name?

  • Where is Pink Floyd? Eagles??

  • @MrPinkFloydism Am I wrong? Pink Floyd isn't hard rock

  • @MrPinkFloydism

I think there is a lot of bands missing too, but if he where to take them all, this video would have gone on for ages, even if I've would have liked that.

Give Your Soul To 70's Rock And Roll!!!!

  • @MrPinkFloydism im not trying to offend you but i dont think Pink Floyd is or was Hard rock

  • @MrPinkFloydism I'm laughing at the fact you think the eagles and Pink Floyd are 'hard rock'. They rock about as hard as a wet paper bag, or the Captain and Tenille.

  • @MrPinkFloydism LMFAO and how prey tell do you define The Eagles as hard Rock as per the Title ?

  • you gotta love a bit of stone cold crazy.....

  • You can convert this or any youtube video to an mp3 at instantmp3s..com

  • whats the David Bowie song in this? I can't remember what it's called.>.<

  • @Lalarissasaurus

    Bowie - Sufragette City

  • @nalk20 dude thanks a ton!

  • Quicksand by Johannes. That's all I'm gonna say.

  • pink floyd? eagles?

  • good stuff.....heavy hard rock, blues, prog-rock and punk all in one clip................good for that mate...........those were the days for good rock and roll.

  • I like all of them ö and I know most of them, I wasn't even born xD lol great compilation !

  • What a Shame No Whitesnake Or Rainbow in the vid

  • Incredible that The Who was left out. Perhaps the greatest hard rock band of the 70's.

  • Im not sure about the hairy review.. but I need a visit to the hairdresser myself... one slight comment though .. Seatrain? not even a cameo?

  • Im not sure about the hairy review.. but I need a visit to the hairdresser myself.

  • ah yes .. 70s made the best rock .. everything else is a ripoff

  • Im 3 min in .. loving it :)

  • great compilation but think the ramones and sweet a bit out of place!!

  • Led Zeppelin is a rock of rock

  • scorpions????`?????

  • † Sabbath † Best band ever. They created heavy metal, but somewhere along the way these modern bands have tried to change metal into screaming shit thats too distorted to hear a thing.

  • @metallicka007 Couldnt of said it better myself.

  • Starts with a FAG,,SHOULD HAVE GUESSED.

  • Leaving out The Who is like leaving out Led Zeppelin, the two are at the top. Also, a lot of great bands like Whitesnake could be included. Or Springsteen or a number of other Harder Rock bands than Foghat or Grand Funk.....like Chicago, harder and better than Kansas.

And if you're gonna put in Sweet, why not ABBA? Jiminy Cricket, what a joke!

  • pink floyd, the who were some that shoulda been added. good job though

  • @23usmc23 i dont think that pink floyd is much of a HARD ROCK band but i agree that the who is missing

  • not bad at all, :) can only fit so much into 10 minutes.

Love all the greats and rock on brothers and sisters. ROCK ON!!

    Peace love tie die.

  • Great compulation!

  • good, but, 70's

    well...

  • more cow bell, more cow bell plz.....

  • @bcherbs amen brother!

  • TED NOJENTO é um lixoo kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • aweseome what i grew up too !!!

  • @DJLefevre2010 I grew up listening to these also when they were new and current on the radio. Todays music in my opinion is untalented garbage.

  • more than a feeling!!that was real music!!

  • never considered Bowie or the Ramones "Hard Rock". Great to see Grand Funk on the list and Heart.

  • 00:00 00:30 ?

  • :10 Freddie <3

  • now its born to be mild, think i'll go kick a can, gezuz on a stick!

  • born to be wild is a 60's song!!!

  • I have to agree----the Who is a glaring omission.

  • ZZ TOP WON :D

  • Many thanks for uploading...............this is my type of music.

This was the decade for rock...............so many bands to choose from. We were spoiled for choice in those far off days. Chart music sucks now............too much Teeny Dizzy Chipmunk and his performing Pitbull !

  • Good show. Thanks for recognizing the Sweet as being a rock band instead of glam........

  • im 13 and this is the future how i see it hopefully, music will be revolutionized and everyone will see what actual Talent is!!!

  • Could have done without Heap and Ramones..but the rest is great.

  • Steppenwolf-Born to Be Wild David Bowie-Suffragette City Deep Purple-Smoke on the Water Foghat-Slow Ride Foreigner-Hot Blooded Grand Funk Railroad-We're an American Band Heart-Barracuda Jethro Tull-Locomotive Breath KISS-Rock and Roll All Nite Nazareth-Hair of the Dog Rush-Fly by Night Styx-Blue Collar Man (Long Night) Sweet-Fox on the Run Led Zeppelin-Black Dog

  • My memory is not so good now but with Compilations like this I can see the artist and type it into U Tube or Spotify and have it instantly.

The Saying Goes if you was there and remembered it then you was not realy there and that is true, I took so much acid and Lebanese I was almost comotose but I knew when Hendrix came on, he woke us all up.

SABATH were infants then. And the WHO, and Pink Floyde. Eric Clapton was in short pants, Super Tramp were Shool Boys.

    Micky.XX

  • salvoBrosEnt, I am almost completley bald now, and as for the rock, it is all around you now, and its free on you tube and Spotify, TIMES have never been better, I am 67 and becoming a neighbor from hell because of the easy access to music on the Puter.

    Micky,XX

  • I am 67 now and saw most of this on the Isle Of Wight.

I thank this guy for doing this Compilatation.

stop moaning he could not cover everyone.

I was at the Hendrix festival but some of these guys where playing off stage, they were newcomers, Now they are LEGENDS.

    Micky.XX

  • this is a good one !!!

  • Aerosmith !!!!!!!!! xD

  • el mejor rock de todos los tiempos, en los 70, no ha dudas

  • Where did all that hair and Hard-Rock, go?! ^_^

  • @SalvoBrosEnt into videos like this one. That's all we get nowadays...

  • too bad :(

  • @SalvoBrosEnt the Emo's deep throated it

  • @SalvoBrosEnt Well, even as the 1970's were ending the long hair was also going out of style. When more hair -- the mid-1980's Hair bands became popular it became more about "big" hair not long hair. But as the bands started getting older what would you expect because many lost that long hair with natural age progression.
