Too bad Super Mario 64 wasn't Super Sonic 64. I prefer Sonic to Mario by a long shot. He taught me a lot of life skills such as running away from robots at the speed of sound, defeating a fat evil doctor with a giant orange mustache, and collecting gold rings. What does Mario teach me? It teaches me how to defeat a giant dinosaur, how to jump over mushrooms, and how collecting 100 coins gives you an extra life. :3

personally, and this is just my opinion, i think sonic is way better than mario. think about it: sonic is a really cool supersonic hedgehog that has a whole story and a life behind him! mario is just some random character that nintendo created who crushes poor, inocent turtles for no reason! he probably has bad breath from eating all those mushrooms and flowers, too! thumbs up if you're with me!

Both Mario and Sonic have their pros and cons: Sonic games have their insane speeds, Mario games have their power ups, both have excellent bgm for their levels. Sonic has you kicking Eggman's butt for the umpteenth time and Mario has you saving Peach and kicking Bowser's butt for the umpteenth time. XD Either way I like them both and I'll play them both for ever!!! (Or until I get bored or die) XD

Who would you rather support, a plumber made by a company that resells games and tries to have a monopoly on cartridge based games (brush up on your gaming history to find out) without any "special" powers besides crushing enemies with purely his weight alone, or a hedgehog with the unique ability to run ridiculously fast and actually has a "goal" to most of its games besides "saving the princess" a million times.
