Man, I've been researching lots of apartments in Seoul, and your's pretty much is at the bottom of the pit, really sorry to say man! BUT, at least your principal is cool, I've heard lots of horror stories with unreasonable people. Or maybe he was just kinda nice cause he seemed a bit tipsy.... Anyways, maybe I'll see you in March when I start!

I have a question: is it possible to choose your own studio? what if you're not comfortable living with other people? do you have that option to live alone? thank you!

Yes, but you will not live with someone else (except for orientation week or special request - eg bf/ gf/ spouse). Appt. size is random, but if you speak no korean of have no one who can help you, I'd just take what they give you. We don't hang out with friends at appts much.

But, if you do speak korean, it might be worth finding one on your own (even for a little extra money). that means you choose the size and location.
