Every community has its own culture, rules and tradition and the wazees always make sure that they are followed to the letter. I don't hear people speaking out against wife inheritance in some communities. Even in the most atrocious conditions humans rights cannot be ignored. If these rights alone are ignored, it's no wonder that indoctrinated communities and commentators that would force such a procedure continue to live in the conditions they do, unable to even grasp a hint of basic human rights. I don't hear people speaking out against wife inheritance in some communities. I am just shocked at the amount of ihiis that have commented here citing the boy's human rights. pelekeni hizo human rights zenyu huko, this 30 yr old boy had no right at all as long as he had that foreskin. @7777Hugh as a Kikuyu we always say that once a child is born he becomes the responsibility of the society until that time that he is initiated to adulthood. I was circumcised at 15, did I feel violated? No. My parents didn't ask for my permission to do so but I knew that cut was a must come what may. If my parents were not there, then the elders would have stepped in. Thats how our culture works, the society takes it upon itself to do the right thing.

@siasabora It's not extra, it's standard equipment. This man had the pain and humiliation of the cut and wasn't given the counselling so something is very wrong. UNAIDS and WHO (mistakenly) support the cut for adult VOLUNTEERS. The Bible? Read the New Testament: Gal 5:2 "...if you become circumcised, Christ is of no value to you."
