Japanese engines make the same amount of power with less cylinders and liters. just look at the RB engine ots 6 cyl and and has 2.6 liters yet they pump those babies up to 1000HP. @Othawize721 Well there's a few good reasons for that - The NSX is smaller, made from aluminium and can only seat two people. The GTR is much bigger, has AWD, and can seat 4 people... It was a hard choice for me when i was looking at buying an RX7, NSX, M3 or an R34GTR. But the GTR came out on top for me, i could go into more details if you want? but you probably don't want to hear that.

@Othawize721 It was built for comfort, ever driven an M3? the drive feel and build quality are practically the same. Ever driven an NSX? especially the Type R? The ride is rock hard, it was mainly built to be good on track whereas the GTR is good on both. Plus the GTR can be driven hard in all weather conditions where the NSX would be a bit dangerous in the wet. Plus the tuning potential of the GTR is what sets it apart, it's near on endless just like the twin in the Supra...
... But obviously you are an avid Honda fan, and we all know the only thing they have on their mind is V-Tec (yo). Which is probably why HKS made the V-Cam just to please the Honda fans... Don't get me wrong i love Honda's , i used to own a JDM DC2 Type R is what brilliant. But as i like tuning my cars the DC2 didn't have much tuning potential with the engine... Just my two cents.

Torque is immediate power whereas 'v-tec' can only make power once it's screaming, like a cat being stamped on, in higher revs. You obviously love vtec, have a look at the HKS vcam. That's real variable valve timing for the RB engine, it works at low revs unlike the Honda engines. Having power in high revs is stupid because you waste so much time 'waiting' for it to kick in.
