  • I just took down my American flag, and I got right back to technology as I should have done so long ago. Oi!

  • I'm convinced we are not alone in the Universe. Statistically speaking there has to be an abundance of life - all at differing stages of development. Homosapiens have only existed for around 100,000 years. In cosmological time we are nothing more than a blip. Over hundreds of thousands of generations we have evolved, slowly dragging ourselves out of the dark. Only recently have we developed the capability to ask questions and seek answers. Science is mankinds greatest acheivement.

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS Unfortuntely, evolution is a slow process. It affects species at different rates. Cognitive evolution brought about through science only benefits a small number of people who are engaged in that work. For the rest of us, we try to make sense of it using our limited minds. The real threat to mankind's continued existence lays with the 4 billion people who have a distorted view on reality. The people who wish the world (and this life) to come to an end. ORGANISED RELIGION.

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS In order for mankind to survive the next 1000 years - we must abandon religion, embrace humanism and fully support scientific endevour. We have to get off this planet and take to the stars. Religion is dangerous. It is delusional and stunts people's minds. How can mankind survive if it holds onto this ideology?

Its a shame Prof. Sagan didn't live to see Islam's resurgeance. The world has never been a more dangerous place. Christians, Jews and Muslims bringing about WW3.

  • that part with Arafat shaking hands should be removed form this video.

  • aaaah back to anime this is booring

  • Very Infomative Good.. Thanks for shared..

  • Good Video, Thanks for shared

  • Future of mankind-they end up blowing themselves up,if someone survives...they would have a 1 generation lasting wisdom, and then those to follow would make the same errors has the generations of the past.

The only problem upon earth-is humanity itself, and hey...Dreams tend to end.

Largest reason for the massive fail-humans want too much and are too pride of themselves to notice to where their endless desires lead themselves to.

    Well...what a shame,humans had such potential-wasted on damm phones!

  • The real crisis is with WHITE people becoming extinct.

WHITE people feel that the world is in a crisis, because THEIR world is.

The worlds people feel great, they don't have a crisis, they're not losing their countries and their heritage. White people feel that their civilization is dying, but can't say it because it's politically incorrect. This is the origin of the "feeling" of the world going sour. ;)

  • @Sinekyre14 I'm white..and although half of what you say is true (that the % of white people in the global population is decreasing), I am not "threatened" in the least..my culture isn't dying either. Remember, we are all brothers and sisters and we all came from the same strand of life billions of years ago. As Carl knew, we must all work together and cooperate. But for now, some people like you dont believe in cooperation, and accordingly, our species is threatended by ourselves.

  • I believe in god and science, but I'm not a christian and nor am I a scientist.

  • "Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter"

    -Unknown NCR soldier

  • Tbh, my dear, dear Carl.

I think we shouldn't have less nukes. Nukes are peacekeepers.

If there were zero, there's nothing that's stopping one country from secretly developing one and using it too.

Nukes are the least of our problems now.

But then again, this was filmed in the late 80's?

Then it's understandable it was such a sensitive topic.

  • @NLhardcorebobNL But the more nukes in existence, the greater chance of an accidental explosion that could cause devestating effects..besides, curiousity and falling for temptation are perhaps some of humans most prominent traits, so its best if we reduce the number of nukes to as few as possible. But u do have a point-having 0 may disrupt global security+balance of power. But lets dream with Carl of a world less focused on destruction and more on the achievements of humankind..

  • Humanity must never forget Mr. Sagan's messages...we must treat eachother more kindly, and to use our technology for good rather than evil, or else someday our species may destroy ourselves....RIP Mr. Sagan, the most optimistic, wise and inspirational person this world has ever known.

  • This man is indirectly speaking about God. But his defiance is so great that he created an imaginary law giver(his own god) to perfectly express his views. Why do you guys look the image upside down? Why don't you embrace the Truth. Dr. Sagan has already met his god already, he knows if that god is God of the Bible or god of the Darkness.

  • @1983xita

on the first sight, human being is (compared to other animals) pretty defenseless and weak, it has no claws, it has no big sharp fangs, it doesn't weigh 3 tons, it can't run 100 km/h, etc. but what makes us special is our intellect, our mind! it is our strongest weapon, and probably the strongest weapon in the universe! and people like you, who don't think, are commiting crime against your own mind and your own abilities! i pitty you! reality is so much better than that...

  • @WoollyMammoth16

Do you know me? Blind atheists like you think that they are the only "thinkers"!!! Science is done with scientific method, but life is run by rationality and reason. So do you think God to be tested at ur lab? Search Him in ur heart

Can you answer - What energy is, energy itself ! - What consciousness is? What is existence?

Modern science has more to say about The Origin of Life by Intelligent Creator than by The Big Bang from NOTHING and the random unguided process therein.

  • @1983xita

consciousness is just a product of evolution, a product of our higher intelligence! existence is just a phylosophical question...energy! oh yes! energy! i love that word! it's used by people who want to be taken seriously and in the same time talk bullshit! energy is transformed from one form to another, it can't (by our means right now) be destroyed! god who doesn't even know that earth is round is not a sollution! and i can't search god in my heart, except if he isn't an eritrocite

  • @WoollyMammoth16 "i can't search god in my heart"

You will not see His face forever! "He is Love" and He acknowledges your preferences.

Logically If there is God, which I believe 99.999% THERE IS, have u ever thought how much love you gonna miss.If there isn't, nobody misses anything.

But I tell you, we are not "ignorant" as you think so. We will know who is mad, at God's day - when He comes at The Last Day, to judge the immoral crimes being done now.

  • @1983xita

    "nobody misses anything"

wtf? you miss your whole lives! you miss the entire point! you miss the whole lives taken by the church or by any other form of this mass delusion called religion! it's all in vain! and don't bullshit me about "god is love"! if he is love than why THE FUCK he killed or ordered so many deads and taken so many lives becuase of his own pure vanity! sodoma - they fuck in ass! so what! it would be better if he just put it this way: "watch where you stck your dick

  • @WoollyMammoth16

If there is NO God, what moral reference are you using to accuse Him? Atheism claims that there is no any objective moral law. Are you shouting subjectively?

You are deluded even to forget that you yourself are a "moral being" created in the "Image of God".

You have no proof that God doesn't exist either. U are merely an agnostic. The problem is u can't be serious about this very important Que. of Origin - u r deluded with Darwinian dogma than searching Truth urself.

  • @1983xita

your god is just a god of holes! every thing that science right now can't explain is a hole and what do you put in it? god! of course! it is only when we start using our reason and mind in search of truth instead of explaining everything by some invisible man we can mature! but I warn you, although there are many things which science right now can't explain, your holes are getting tinier and tinier

  • @WoollyMammoth16

The Bible is not scientific book. It answers WHY questions that science can't. Why we are here for? Why we die? Why lots of moral crimes around?. . .

Science is dedicated to explain the HOW ones for the material universe. How is flight possible? How energy transformation possible?

The first men ate the fruit of Wisdom(Genesis 3) by choice and we got to be hungry for wisdom. Our thirst for wisdom brought science.

Both The Bible and science are important complements of a life.

  • @1983xita

stories in the bible are myths, just like the story of gilgamesh, just like olympic gods, just like torrah, just like qu'ran and just like silmarillion...our thirst for blood and killing led us to bible so we can explain it and apologize it by the "word of god"...wisdom has nothing to do with science...science is constant search for knowledge and wisdom is compilation of learning on your own or others' mistakes in your life...religion brought humanity only repression and torture...

  • @WoollyMammoth16

Western civilization is a byproduct of Christianity. German philosopher Jürgen Habermas, who is an atheist, has acknowledged that "Christianity, and nothing else, is the ultimate foundation of liberty, conscience, human rights, and democracy, the benchmarks of Western civilization. To this we have no other options. We continue to nourish ourselves from this source. Everything else is postmodern chatter."

Atheism has brought nothing to us. Do u dismiss this fact?

  • @1983xita

you mean, human rights like burning innocent people on sake, boiling them in hot oil, torturing then, breaking their bones on a wheel, crusading, extinguishing any form of science, reason and free.thinking, ...what you've said is probably the biggest bullshit i ever heard in my life and trust i have heard a lot! no offense but you are a living proof of a ignorrant christian fuck

  • @WoollyMammoth16

Christianity saved you to be a free citizen. The Roman emperors could have wrestled you with wild lions at one of their weekends, man!

Now you are seeking that age - and I tell you it is at your door front. The anti-Biblical Atheist Capitalist regimes to come will sell you for oil, they will even depopulate you - because u are merely an intelligent monkey LOL. Jürgen Habermas has admitted this plain fact, but U can't until u go to concentration camps.

  • @1983xita

you mean, fanatic christian american hypocritic capitalists? you are so annoying

  • @WoollyMammoth16

You don't know who is ruling the world - the master mind of all global socio-economic misery? You don't know all The Occupy demonstrations are against? You are not informed at all, man.

You are merely a hateful blind atheist. You hate what is about to be Your Peace. And I pity souls like urs running away from Light and committing spiritual suicide - willful ignorance. At last, I invite you to read "Mere Christianity" by C. S. Lewis - who was an Atheist like you. Ciao!

  • @1983xita

ignorrance? rofl! it's like hitler mocking gandhi about killing people!! rofl! religion - it should be : 1. only for older than 18, 2. considered a form of paranoid dellusion...

  • @1983xita

and please don't send me any more e-mails! go burn a witch or something!

  • @1983xita

and absolute morality? there is no such a thing as absolute morality! yes, lying is bad! but if your lie can save someone's life than it is good! one of the ten commandments says: though shall not kill! wtf? who is crazy here? first of all god killed more innocent people than mao, stalin, lenin, hitler, amin, pol pot, genghis-lhan, atila, americans or any other fuckin crazyman that walked this earth! and still your faboulous soldiers are running amok and killing thousands of people

  • darwinian dogma! there is no dogma in science! if you aren't bound by your religious fanatisicm and if you don't look at the world with god-goggles you would see that not everything rotates about fuckin religion! and darwinism? there is no such thing as darwinism! as well as there is no such thing as newtonism, einsteinism or galileism! I wonder if you think that gravity is just a theory?

  • @1983xita

and I AM an atheist! as a matter of fact I can even call my self an ANTI-ATHEIST! oh and yes! there is plenty of evidence that biblical god doesn't exist! maybe a some form of a more intelligent and advanced entity in the universe exists that have their hands in the origins of the cosmos! unfortunately (or not) there is no evidence of such entity, but it is plausible, becuase our species has it's technological and mental limits! but I repeat: there is no evidence of such entity...

  • Happy Birthday Dr. Sagan :)

we could sure use some of your wisdom these days..

  • attention all humans. you don't fit in and nobody likes you!

  • Super intelligent humans with wings that are very pretty resembling angels :)!

  • lets put aside all our differences&act as one!

  • "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." - Bertrand Russell

  • @diegodann Wonderful quote from Russell. Like Sagan, he was a clear thinker and an example for the world of a truly rational mind.

  • Why do men like Sagan never become the leaders of countries? Why are our politicians so often self-possessed, short-sighted and the puppets of special interest groups? I suppose because men like Carl Sagan are too busy in the pursuit of knowledge and truth to ever invest time in what is really an impossible dream. To lead a nation out of ignorance and superstition into a world of clear vision and optimism is something we just wouldn't accept.

  • Poor Carl. Had he witnessed the amount of all for not debt piled up all these years he would lose his hair in an eye-blink.

  • God Is Great

  • @mas03 Which god?

  • @TADahar There can only be one god.

  • @mas03 Which one? And how do you know there can only be one god?

  • @mas03 You are very certain of this. How do you know?

  • @mas03 HIGHLANDER!!

  • People who need "Gods" to worship should choose people like Sagan, Darwin, Copernicus, Newton, Galileo, etc. After all they have done more for humanity than all "gods " put together.

  • @jlc012 I'd rather think of them as scientists. Let's not put them up on any pedestals. It seems too religious.

  • @TADahar but far much worthy of praise

  • @jlc012 You forgot Bertrand Russell and George Carlin. Although they don't fit in the category of science, they fit in the category of worship.

  • @jlc012 gods are nothing in front of sagan, darwin, newton, gods are a bunch of imaginary scumbags invented by bronze age idiots, shit on all gods humans ever invented

  • @jlc012 worship humans? LOL

  • @JoakimAcosta I can see that you have chosen the human you want to worship, that makes you stupid. That you think he is divine makes you stupid and dangerous.

  • @jlc012 lol, what makes you think i worship humans? :P

  • @JoakimAcosta Are you going to deny the "prophet"?

  • @jlc012 what makes you think i worship a prophet?

  • i call god nature

  • @deadcauz let me guess, you believe in heaven too

  • I grew up with MR. SAGAN'S enthralling t.v. documentaries , he put the grandeur into his view of the heavens . Giving budding inquisitors a larger look at the universe . God didn't play at center stage but wasn't ruled out. He just loved the unanswered questions and the enormity of existence .

Without people like him we might have missed the romance that the future could bring.

    GIANFRANCO FRONZI SEPTEMBER

  • The Religious are pessimistic, cry out demanding everyone to conform, and secretly pray for the end to come...

The Logical and Truthful, are determined to see mankind succeed, not only in continued existence, and in the realm of ethical philosophy...

  • Rothschild Rule

  • @misasiasi yeah, and then another 100 religions came after. So fuk your God. (Darwin, Dawkins, whichever you pray too.) lol.

  • HAIL SAGAN!!!!!!

  • @Morgethein Well said, I hope something happens before it is too late.

  • Karl, Karl, the future of humankind in this universe is the same as yours - DEATH! Dress it up all you want; pretend that we, and the pale blue dot we live on somehow matter in the grand scheme of things, but the truth is, our fate is the same as every star, every dinosaur, every microbe. We all come to an end, and the human cry is ultimately met with silence. Dress it up with pretty music and sentimental words, but darkness awaits us, and your philosophizing is just whistling in the graveyard!

  • whats wrong with his eye

  • @kingqzer IDK, maybe he stared into a telescope for too long.

  • @Al3xX420 :maybe somebody punched the living shit out of him for his stupid conspiracies

  • @kingqzer That's very religious of you. You should be commited.

  • @Al3xX420 im a muslim.

  • @kingqzer Of course. By your comment I could tell you were either a christian or a muslim. If you think science is a conspiracy you are horribly delusional. Carl Sagan is a great man. And because of your condition he is greater and more important than you can ever hope to be.

  • @Al3xX420 Sorry. Carl Sagan was a great man. May he rest in peace. We can only hope that his body returns to the Earth to give life sustenance and at last he will be one with the cosmos.

  • @Al3xX420 : my condition ?

being important, famous, rich, known, all that shit just counts in this world, since you people dont believe in the hereafter so i dont blame you. Everyone has their own opinions. 2 largest populations of the world wouldnt be stupid now would they ?

  • @kingqzer I don't want to sound mean but your condition is that your brainwashed. You have had these ideas forced into you and now you are unwilling to accept anything that interferes with your religion.

What I meant was Carl Sagan was great and important because inspired and educated so many people. He made a positive impact on mankind. Religion may have been a positive force in the past, but now all it does is hold back science, logic, and reason. It is now a negative force.

  • @Al3xX420 : both should have its place. i however, have not been brainwashed. Eyah i was born to a religious family, but I have done my own soul searching and chose Islam to be my religion. Im not a pure muslim, i make music, curse, everything. But tell you what, i have been brainwashed by these illuminati's since i was a child. Cartoon figures, secret messages, and God knows what else.

which came first? the chicken or the egg ? support your reason.

  • All hail the mighty flying spaghetti monster! HAIL!

  • Lucky Carl sagan died in 1996. He did not have to see the rise of Radical Islam. He did not have to witness the complete engulfment of Europe by primitive, outof control refugees out of the Third World and the collapse of Western Civilization by way of "White Tolerance". He did not have to see the riots happening in London & so many other places in within our once civilized modern world.

  • @Avalon400 Most of these problems were created on purpose by greedy Americans. This is coming from an American, by the way.

  • @Morgethein - But, which segment of our gene pool is doing most of the reproducing? Folks with intelligence are foregoing families in favor of material rewards. I fear our entire civilization has reached it's acme, and everything is downhill from here.

  • The 2 biggest threats to civilization are: global, multinational, corporate capitalism and religion. Of course, we need to reduce population, and that will probably happen, because of the destruction of our planet by the greedy few and the delusions of relious zealots with nukes. I was radicalized in the antiwar movement at UT, Austin (1969-71). Unless we have a paradigm shift to democratic socialism and a reduction of population, we are doomed. Aloha, from my lifeboat of Kauai.

  • As for past global warming caused by our Sun, that is undeniable. Today the undeniable fact is that our Planet is cooling as the Sun enters a new Grand Minimum. This cooling may be deep and prolonged, our winters will be harsh and frigid. The so called greenhouse effect is tiny and insignificant compared with the gigantic forces now in place that are cooling the Earth. Atmospheric carbon dioxide enrichment will increase plant life and benefit all life on our Planet.

  • if Carl Sagan were alive to day i believe he would look at the wold as it is now, with virtually no concern to the global warming to the fact that people denie it, and to the intelligent design proponents who's goal it is to make our specie less intelligent, and to the massive undertaking of religion as the dominant force in OUR wold's political polices and say to himself..."MOTHERFUCKER!"

  • Humans are going to be extinct soon. Oil will run out, rainforests will be cut down and the population will keep on rising with no checks, we will suffocate the earth and ourselves. You can argue all you want but its true! There is only so much space on this planet and we don't have the resources to sustain our population, its over already. Grim I know, but it is true.

  • @thefierce123 Yep.

  • humans will survive the coming hard times, and we will prosper, and we will expand to the cosmos, it will happen, think positive, look how fast technology is improving, when Columbus explored, and than the moon, and than mars, and on and on

  • @CryptWarrior69 While I'm with you on being an optimist about the future of humanity, couldn't you have used a better example than Columbus? I mean the guy gets way too much credit for things that he was not the first to do, or things he didn't do at all. That and he pretty much caused the genocide of most of Americas native population. He's not really the best role model for optimists. Wouldn't you agree?

  • @CryptWarrior69 yea i agree with u, but my point was just that as humans we explored all the land we have on earth, and i think its possible to do the same in space, i shouldve just said humans'' instead of columbus, but anyways i think we will keep on going fine, there will be hard times, but humans adapt, space will be colonized.

  • I only wish CARL SAGAN could see the break throughs we are seeing( and will see very soon) with telescopic technologies such as the Hubble Space Telescope and Kepler etc!, our standing in the universe is changing constantly, and its only a matter of time before we can manipulate our own DNA and our thinking in order to save our species.

  • If Mr.Sagan veiwed weapons of mass destruction as anything that unnaturally kills human beings on a large scale he would not have said that they have been reduced.

  • @blackman666ful Sure this hasn't made much difference, but on the other hand, Sagan went through an era where you would wake up and say "I wonder if someone will drop the bomb today". All this cold war hysteria, you know.

  • @VegetativeHorse I'm just saying that weapons of mass destruction are still very prevalent in our society today but in more environmentally friendly other forms.

  • Carl Sagan was ever hopeful for the human race. I do wonder how much he would have despaired over the horrific event of September 11, 2001, when a crazed group of religious extremists attacked the World Trade Center. Al Queda has been responsible for countless other events of mindless violence, all in the name of Allah. Carl was of the opinion that man could use their vast knowledge for a greater good or not. It seems we are taking giant steps backwards into the dark ages of our ancestors.

  • breaks my heart to think that all carl worked for is at stake now more then ever thanks to fundamentalist insanity underpinned and financed by moderate religion.

I am deeply deeply deeply saddened

"Here lay the Human race, they were unable to shake their addiction to myths"

    RIP

  • Man hasnt solved Hunger, War, Disease, Corruption, Greed, yet we believe we are going to explore the universe? This modern generation is in a DELUSION. Thinking that since WW2 and the creation of the UN that Man has realized his wrongs. We have killed more people in the last 100 years than in the last 5000 years of documented history. Climate change, Globalization, and the exportation of the Neo Liberal Economics has only been exported for the creation of a unilateral globalist government.WAKEUP

  • @ivhoven "creation of a unilateral globalist government."

Actually, I really don't know what's wrong with a global government. It would mean an end to war as we know it (state against state), and even though the one government is 'inescapable', each province would be governed slightly differently than the next, just like local councils govern areas of England.

    "Greed"

Greed isn't solvable, it is part of human nature. Only through greed can the virtue of generosity exist.

  • @ScabeiathraxUK

To suggest greed is a part of human nature, is to suggest we as individuals have no choice. This offers an excuse to the ignorant, and acts as an offense to the elect. Many people have theorized about global governance, Rome, Khan, Nazi Germany, however it is nothing more than conducive to war, and offers a platform for absolute power to be corrupted absolutely. History knows that such a vision is Utopian, unrealistic, and dangerous. Conquest is now done through the dollar.

  • @ivhoven

"To suggest greed is a part of human nature, is to suggest we as individuals have no choice"

No, it isn't. To suggest greed is a part of human nature is to suggest that we as a race can never stamp it out entirely. The individual is free to suppress his nature. Lust is part of our nature, and some declare celibacy.

    "conducive to war"

Only for a time, once it was in place it is rather the opposite. And that is only assuming it's global governance by force, and not by accord of nations

  • @ivhoven "platform for absolute power to be corrupted absolutely"

Just because there is one world government does not mean it is easy to corrupt. The UN, for instance, have their power so diluted by the fact they are a council of so many nations which must agree on decisions, that corrupting the UN would be as easy as corrupting a large group of nations individually.

    "History knows"

History knows that a lot of people have gone about it in the wrong way. Global governance is untested.

  • Hi, write "logical evidences for Islam" and watch it

  • some of these comments make me feal ofended

  • @MrPadrino123 Why so?

  • Going to mars is like climbing the waterfalls, there is no assurance that you will get there... eventually.

  • It's not the precision of what he's saying; that goes without saying. It's the vision of the man. The ability to see further, the ability to provoke thought, the ability to make the current state of humanity somehow resonate with the aspirations of fossilized Lucy as she walked across the mud of prehistoric Africa, and the ability to connect all of us not just to her...but beyond ourselves.

  • Karl Sagan was a weeeeeeee bit to impressed with Humanity...

Humanity is not impressive... We've accomplished nothing... We've discovered nothing...

We are clueless and oblivious to the universe around us.

This honestly is one of the most religious videos I've ever seen. How?

Sagan and every other atheist who woes this far is just as religious as any person of faith.

They worship themselves and the pathetic "accomplishments" of humanity.

    We have no idea.........

  • @LinkD3 Whether or not you would be as pessimistic without people like this discovering the world around us, what worth would it be to live in a world where we would be so pessimistic? I feel like you are around 17 years old and just discovered the bleaker side to existence. But never the less, without a bit of faith in humanity, we would lack all drive and live in a world where we all feel sorry for ourselves, yes faith in religion is perhaps misdirected, but faith in each other could never be.

  • @LinkD3 right dude, we dnt know shit about shit, and even if we did, what we know ought to be held in skepticism of its authenticity...

  • @LinkD3

In the universal scale of things, humanity is insignificant. However, I would have to credit at least some of the human species with realization of their place in the universe. Humanity has not yet accomplished anything impressive such as travel to another planet or solar system. We're just a young evolutionary animal with technology of a few hundred years. Hopefully with a few thousand years behind us there will be greater accomplishments.

  • @LinkD3 Carl Sagan inspired many scientists, filling them with hope for Earth and humanity, and reminding them that we do not live in a privileged reference frame, and that our home is something fragile to be protected fervently.

The passage of time will see his impression diminished, I agree, but is it not better to inspire those around us, to further us towards goals we could only dream of?

Do you think it would be better for us to view everything we've done so pessimistically?

  • I fuck sheep and other farm animals.

  • @xxpeniskingxx alright duuuuuude! totally relevant

  • @Morgethein I wish we had a time machine, some people just go back to Ancient Egypt with 21st Century technology and build a new society in a pristine and relatively empty population wise resource rich world with everything we know now. A world where we can avoid five thousand years of mistakes and be allowed five thousand years to reach for the stars. Its a shame I can only dream though. I hope humanity finds another way to the stars one day in the far future if our efforts fall short.

  • this guy has a scary plastic face... i think hes from the future. i listened, but couldnt watch.

  • I'm sad to say that I now think humanity may not ever reach the stars. I do not doubt the possibility, nor the human ambition but merely the means to get there. It is the dream of our age and the space program is one of its children but its a dream which stands against increased resource scarcity as we move into the near future. When we have no more oil supply, we have no more society and no more space race. We will return to the days of the past and the stars will become more and more distant.

  • @bass109 This belief is the blight of humanity. It's against progress and reason.

  • @bass109 but i guess the english language isn't the future

  • @bass109

religion will die. Same way as greek mythological gods died. Im sry but it will happen. So fuck ur god:)

  • Comment removed

  • @misasiasi yeaaah, fuck you god

  • @misasiasi Well only about 4-6% of humans (worldwide) are atheist so that day is far far away.

  • @misasiasi

I hope you're right, that some day we'll see the death of religion. The unfortunate reality is that default thinking for humanity in general is to replace one delusion with another. The default thought process for a human being is to have faith and accept an explanation without question by those seen in authority. This is where higher education including science plays an important part in wiping out bullshit religion. Yeah, I agree, Fuck god, he's a merely a conceptual asshole.

  • Religion will never die out. The word religion means individual responsibility toward any 'higher authority'.

Greek mythology was not theological and never even claimed to be. All mythologies deliberately stood in distinction to theology, and especially Hebrew theology. They created 'natural 'gods'. They were actually the ancient atheists.

Real theology is drastically different from the others and actually predicts its own 'demise'.

It's your ignorance of the subject leading to its death.

  • @misasiasi wow idk what he said but god is just creation and obviously everything is created. We are here. Go eat some l.s.d and tell me theres no god. Go eat with the indians they will show you spirits. But god wont pay any attention to people like you and anyone like that. Man made storys about god are not true. But we are a creation of something. All religion is stupid people fighting over they know nothing about but dont say fuck ur god because hes urs also.

  • @misasiasi hey greek mythology is quite cool you know... :B

  • @misasiasi I agree.. since you are proboably right.. but i dont think you should say the last part ;)

  • @misasiasi

you sick disgusting atheist piece of shit...

  • @TheDJSTALKER He's not wrong.

  • @Al3xX420

    Keep dreaming

  • @TheDJSTALKER Its no dream and its no coincidence that as education increases so does atheism.

  • @Al3xX420

Which is very interesting, since more you people seem educated the more stupid you actually are to see the truth...

  • @TheDJSTALKER Define truth.

  • @Al3xX420

Iam not even going to try, you wouldnt believe me if i told you...

  • @TheDJSTALKER Thats the difference between us. You believe the first thing anyone tells you and it is your truth. I believe what makes sense.

  • @Al3xX420

I do the same mate... I think we should end this conversation now, because i feel that , arguing about this is pretty much useless, because we will all die one day and then we will see who was right and who is not...im not saying that either one of us is right tho..

  • @Al3xX420 thats easy,

jesus said, i am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father but through me.-

    so jesus is truth.

  • @999Thip Theres something wrong with the way you think if you believe the word of a man who lived 2000 years ago.

  • @Al3xX420 if you read something, then it turns out to be real, would that not convince you.??

  • @999Thip Perhaps, but I don't see your point. Just because Jesus was an actual person doesn't mean he was the son of god. He never walked on water, he never turned water to wine, and he never rose from the dead. If he did show me evidence.

  • @Al3xX420 hmmm, what do you believe that you have not seen any evidence,

  • @999Thip nothing i can think of.

  • @Al3xX420 now think...

    dont just reply like that..

take a few days and really think.

keep asking yourself, what do i believe in, with no evedence..

and the answer will come to you.

  • @999Thip Ok I thought of a couple things I believe with no evidence. Though there are good reasons I believe them. I believe we only know about a very small percentage of all animal species that have ever existed. I believe there are fossils of some of these species that we have not found yet, some that will never be found, and I believe there are plenty of species that never fossilized. I also believe there is probably life elsewhere in the universe whether it be carbon based or otherwise.

  • @Al3xX420 so you believe in UFO,S but dont believe in heaven or hell?

you dont believe in life after this one., the body dies and the sprit moves on elsewhere.

all the religions in the world says something about the sprit, but

    you know better.,

are you willing to take that chance to spend eternity is everlasting punishment?

  • @999Thip Uh, I never said I believe in UFOs I said I believe in extraterrestrial life.

No I don't believe MY life will continue when I die. I believe that if I have children I will get a chance for my genes to survive.

And what is a spirit? What is it made of? Where does it come from?

And I'm not worried about going to hell. If god was really a loving, caring, forgiving being then he wouldn't send me, a good person, to hell. Quit worrying about death and focus on life.

  • @Al3xX420 #1what is sprit? hmmm i guess its that life force a person has, if you ever seen a person pass from this life, into the next ,you would know what i mean.

#2 and god is loving, this is why he sent his son ,jesus is our way out of the sins we have done.

jesus took all the sins of mankind on to himself,at the cross.

jesus took the punishment that we deserve.,

because god loves us,he gave us a way to excape hell-

if one does not take it, , well

  • @999Thip 1) There is no life force. What keeps us alive is the complex chemical reactions that go on inside our bodies keeping us in good condition. Your body is made of cells which are made of molecules which are made of atoms.

    2) So god requires us to spend our lives worshipping him just to avoid eternal pain? Sounds like an arrogant jerk to me. Why would god be like that? Why wouldn't he let us live our lives the way we want and let us experience our own consequences?

  • @Al3xX420 i agree it would sound like a arrogant jerk for one who does not have the wisdom nor knowledge to understand gods ways..

#2 and to let us live the way we want too? man would destroy himself. do you not study history.

its clear god has sets these things in order to protect us from ourselves.

know jesus,. you will know peace.

  • @999Thip Don't you think thats pretty arrogant of yourself to assume you understand god's ways? If god was capable of creating the universe, Earth, life, and having a plan that we are destined to carry out, how could any person understand him? How could you possibly think you know what god wants?

  • @Al3xX420 quite simple, study the bible.

god lays out his plan for mankind in there..

its people who have a hard heart, and wont overcome their pride that dont understand the ways of god.

i was once like you, i question everything, thought i knew everything-

but god had other plans for me, and you too. since we are talking about him often.

  • @999Thip God had nothing to do with the bible. It was written by men. Why else do you think they made god a man? Do you really believe god is a man? If there were a god don't you think it would be more likely it would be neither man nor woman? What makes you think god has a human form? Out of all of the species that has ever existed humans have only been around for a few hundred thousand years. So why would god choose that form? Take the bible out of the equation and think about it.

  • @Al3xX420 wow, its clear you have never picked up the bible ,but yet speak as if you know something..

everything you pointed out can be found in the bible,

i dont know if you are just writing to see yourself write, or you are that ill informed.

how can you speak about a book you never read.

    your just like obummer,

  • @999Thip Hey I tried to read the bible. My mother is christian and I spent the first 12 years of my life trying to be a good christian. I just couldn't get through it. I knew it was full of falsehoods and immoral behavior. You should try to find an older unedited version of the bible. I'm sure you know this but there is stuff in there about how to rape women properly and how to own and beat people. Its not a good OR kind book. But what do you expect? It was written 2000 years ago.

  • @Al3xX420 you do people like you never talk about the new testament, hmmm, i wonder.

maybe ill let you tell me,

    tic toc

  • @Al3xX420 which god are you talking about

  • @simpleearthling the least likely one ever thought up: the judeo-christian god.
