  • yo Jeffro you the boss for real

  • I LIKE IT LOVE THIS SONG!!! blues

  • If Jeff Beck coudn't play the blues why would then people like Eric Clapton and Bb King play with him?

  • -thx for this unbelivable record...

  • 4 People got rocked too hard.

  • Yeah i like your music !!

  • no motherfuckin' body can play the guitar like jeff beck.

  • Jeff Beck Is A F**** Animal!!! I love you Jeff!!!!

  • The worst part is 6:14

  • jeff can make music come out of his strat that fender never put in :)

  • I wonder, is JB human?... from what planet he come?

  • wtf i don't even know what to say.

  • jeff is a true master

  • Jeff Beck is a genius and I am sure he is absolutely thrilled to jam with his hero

  • Omg the crowd is so silent...

    ROOOOOOCK MEEE BABYYY ! c'moon....

  • Eiiitaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa porra

  • is hard to believe how fuckin' incredible jeff is

  • the Delbert Williams version is the best! look him up! real blues!

  • whats all that white powder on his fretboard?

  • @mclrk626 baby powder

  • 1:52 1:56 OMG Jeff Beck is god!!

  • Royalty baby!

  • It takes a whole lotta back bone to play next to the KING of blues and JB come out the other side rocking and rolling.

  • Eventhough Jeff is firing out of all his cylinders, BB just kills it in the end....

  • You know I have been all over the "tube" and it seems that every time a white guy is playing with a blues legend I hear some "no soul comment." What the hell. Jeff has a ton of feel. In fact he is all feel. The next stupid thing I read is that he is not playing the blues as it all the blues is about is playing pent scales in a box pattern and once you don't do that you are not playing the blues. A rather simplistic outlook that short changes the whole rich spectrum that is the blues.

  • The million dollar version !!!

  • hehe,,, ;)))

  • As much as I love Jeff Beck, one of my guitar heroes, and a million times better than I'll ever be, I just don't like his fuzzy, hairy tone since he started playing that Strat. BB's tone is so much sweeter. Still, this is a pretty jaw-dropping solo, he's always worth seeing. As for BB King, he is beyond legendary.

  • Jeff made that Guitar is so aliennnnn sounddddddddddddd

  • I think, Jeff is doing an amazing job here... I'm not entirely sure if he's playing here blues or not, but I don't care. He adds his own taste and style to this great song making it even better, or even special.

  • Just awesome.

  • i think it doesn´t fit with the blues, what jeff plays.... no doubt he´s a great guitar player but not for playin blues :I

  • @idna321 Jeff is one of the most recognized blues and jazz guitar players of all time :s

  • jeff can't play the blues... he haven't soul

  • @GambaBluesMan OHH MAN. BECK HAS NO SOUL? I'M NOT A FAN OF HIS, BUT DAMN HE MADE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS BB KING'S CLASSIC ALL OVER

  • @GambaBluesMan very qualified post. check out "brush with the blues" and then judge about his soul. but something else: i wonder how come he does wear sleeves here. first gig ever i see him do that.

  • Jeff Beck is a technical genius, but he aint playing the blues here.

  • @Kalizza In what sense is he not playing the blues? Just curious.

  • technical genius, but this aint the blues

  • @ 4:38 i wonder if thats what bb screams during sex

  • We watched this at school today!

  • Hey Jeff Beck is the Sh!t so take a big whiff.

  • Fantastic sound, picture, musicians, and just all around great video!!!

  • This couldn't have been any better!!

  • The diff between Beck & other modern rock virtuosos: Jeff's a true improvisor. He'll be in the middle of 6 note riff, decide he's said what needed to be said, & stop cold after the 1st 3 notes, or get a new idea & make it 8 or 9. Once most guys get it their head to play a riff, they're gonna play it just the way they learned it, especially when shredding & tapping's involved: Their hands move faster than their mind can follow.

  • hm---just found out that i am sitting here with a goofy smile...love this..the king and jeff are amazing!

  • jeff beck is a true master

  • BB X JB = the best collaboration to date

  • There is never an doubt as to who is in command of the stage when a guitar is in the hands of Jeff Beck.

  • OMFG that was one of the greatest solo, i have ever heard!

  • OH MY GOD!!! the greatest solo you WILL NEVER PLAY!!

  • I saw this in the summer of 2003. This was a great TV performance.

  • The best you can !!!

    I love you!!

  • Best quote I ever saw (and forgive me for forgetting the source) said: "Jeff Beck doesn't play a guitar. He PULLS sound out of it!"

    End of discussion.

  • @OUTSIDETHEBOCKS

It was Eric Clapton who said this during one of his Crossroads festival interviews

  • Amazing!!!

  • rock me baby

  • lol that intro the guy gave to jeff beck could have been about him Clapton or Jimmy Page

  • wow waht a good jam

  • Wow! Just fab!

  • o i love this stuff, but becks the only white dude haha. Blues dont have color baby!!!!

  • this is great...yes it is

  • you got it jeff LOL

  • Hey, Roman, It is better to be silent, and thought of as an idiot, than to open one's mouth, and remove all doubt. You are comparing apples and oranges.

  • BB says it all in his final line, the call and reply licks at 5:42-52 with Jeff are so fricken perfect, the whole damn jam so thick and rich, here's BB: "Can't go no further."

BB and JB Baby...this is so extremely good...I just want to sit around and bathe in this all day, on a daily basis...this is basically what life should be like in the background

  • is jeff the best all around guitar player? in the world?? shit!!!! if i could have the hands of clapton and the head of jeff beck, well that be what i like to be (yea i know, it sound awesome haha)

  • @ragingstorm33: Haha we have the same mind; I've always aimed to be a fusion of Clapton and Beck \m/

  • rock me jeff beck :D

  • BB king is an awesome guitarist , same with Jeff beck!

  • Jeff rocks. I've known about him for a while but I just started listening to him and he's awesome.

  • Hall of famer's baby

  • robot, you said it all. It's what I love about his playing, you can never be sure. Extremely creative

  • the best thing about Jeff beck is that is very difficult to predict what is coming round the corner with him. its like opening a present and not having any idea what is in the box.. but after you open you just say.. "i love it" great licks, great riffs thanks for the presents Jeff !

    Robots

  • @robotsrocks2

you'd have to be a musician to understand the simplistic groove but advanced techniques it takes to understand Jeff Beck. Jimmy Page all the way!

  • @robotsrocks2 It takes 4 to become a good musician: chops; grooves; musicianship and creativity. It usually takes 10,000 hours to get there (an hour a day for 30 years). A "gifted" musican naturally has all 4 but together becomes 5 and is doing it in their 20's. Beck is definitely one of them. Other cats take a lifetime to wonder "what am I doing wrong?" Guess that is the difference between good and gifted.

  • @DonRua you pretty much nailed it. :)

  • why does it look lke Becks playing is out of sync at some places??? jw??

  • It's the way the video uploaded to Youtube, sadly. Stupid Youtube.

  • because that is the way jeff beck play, if you have his album u should listen carefully and he is always off beat, but that makes the song twice better because he does it ridht

  • It sure is nice to see Beck add some smoke to this blues classic. BB is one of my first guitar heroes and is truly larger than life.

  • Jeff beck better in blues guitar yeahhhhhh

  • It seems like they admirate each to another. Good song...

  • its so amazing to listen to these amazing artists. I heard this song done with bb, eric, buddy guy and stevie vaughn. Every lick was original and u could listen with ur eyes closed and tell who was playing. Everybody has their own style, tone, this is real music.

  • i saw Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer group open for Jefferson Starship(Spitfire Tour) at the Capitol Centre. He undefinability upstaged the Starship. What a show I will never forget.

  • Ernie Ball 10's

  • what gauge strings does beck use?

  • It varies, actually. If you look into it, he can go from 9's at the beginning of a tour up to 12's by the end of it. According to his guitar tech, he's one of the most uniquely awkward guitarists alive.

  • Beck is on a level all by himself. If you can ever get a chance to see him in concert - don't miss it!

  • jesus jeff beck is lethal, what a sound he can get

  • Would love to see B.B King together with Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck, that would be something!! Love this thou'

  • at crossroad festival the line up for this tune was BB, Buddy Guy, Eric (dont call me Cartman) Clapton, Jimmy Vaughan, look for it on tube, it was fantastic.

  • except he calls it "rock my plimsoul"

  • jeff beck knows this song well because he did a cover of it with the original jeff beck group in his first solo album. and it shows when he and bb king perform it together. EPIC!!!!!!!!!!

  • cosa darei per vedere una cosa del genere dal vivo! AWESOME!

  • JB is one beautiful freak. LOVE him

  • Jeff Beck is the most amazing guitarist and here with BB, WOW!!

  • Rock me baby !!! ya ya ,,,,tnkx 4 post.

  • I don't know what it is, but there's just something about his tone that gets my juices flowing.

  • "Black" "White" 'Yellow" the colour IS BLUE !!!!

  • ...blaa ...blaa... blubber...erspar uns deine Meinung....sorry ;-))

  • Mind you it's pretty rare to find a musician with such an open connection between what s/he feels and would like to do and what comes out. It just pours out of him. Has done for decades. It's awesome. The man's a freak.

  • I think Jeff Beck occupies his own space. I get pretty fed up with all these comparisons of one palyer with another. It seems to me to be completely missing the point. Music is about music afterall and not individuals. But it's particularly annoying when it's done about JB. He lives and plays in the moment within the music, and does it in his way - the way of Jeffbeckland.

  • wonderful solo by Jeff Beck

  • Clapton said: "there's just something so mean and cool about Jeff". True nuff!

  • @Gregorypeckory Clapton and Jeff are the two ppl of the few that can really handle that effect well! :)

  • @Gregorypeckory I have that quote amongst my list of quotes from other artists stating that Jeff Beck is the MAN! I have quotes from such a wierd diverse group of people. From contemparies like Clapton 7 Page, to the likes of Paul McCartney, Alice Cooper, & Lemmy. They all confirm what I have thought for years now. Jeff Beck is the best at what he does. IMHO he is the best electric guitarist of all time.

  • 2:17 - 2:22 he makes his guitar sound EXACTLY like a blues harp!!

  • call them boys?:))=)) they;re monsters, heroes/ GREAT SINGERS!!!! BB is the KING and Jeff is the beck:))

  • who says white boys cant play the blues!!!

    oh yea they can do!!!

  • mayer's alright when he plays with other ppl. his albums suck

  • WOW IM FROM KOSOVO BUT I LOVE BB KING

  • lol...at 4:10 i thought the crowd was saying something else....but still this is one of the greatest jams i ever heard...nice vid man 5/5 !!!

  • What makes Jeff Beck unique amounst all the rest is the constantly evolves. I guarantee when he is 70, he will still be re-inventing himself and the guitar.

  • what a unique voice jeff has...a great amalgam between the elder statesman and the beckster...i like the way jeff plays with BBs band...they really swing...great stuff

  • Two of the best of the best. My top 10: 1. SRV 2. Hendrix 3. Clapton 4. B.B. King 5. Merle Haggard 6. Albert King 7. Buddy Guy 8. Carlos Santana 9. Chet Atkins 10. Jeff Beck
  • Hmm. I might insert Duane Allman in place of Haggard. Although I like Merle.

  • good list mine would be more like 1 jimi hendrix /SRV 2 John Mayer 3 B.B. king 4 clapton 5 Buddy Guy 6 Jeff Beck 7 Santana 8 EVH 9 Angus Young 10 Satriani
  • John mayer??!!! wat??!!!! john mayer is good but not close to jeff, bb or even bo diddley.

  • its just my opinion but if you were to here john mayer and not know it was him i think you'd be blown away, listen to Where the light is: I dont need no doctor, i dont trust myself with loving you, belief, out of my mind

  • listen to derek trucks. to me he goes above every single person on that list

  • it's a matter of personal taste...but i agree with others' comments, john mayer is good/great in a lot of different settings but he is not even in the same league as as SRV or derek trucks or buddy guy in terms of blues, nor is he in the same stretch as tommy emmanuel or chet atkins on acoustic guitar and he's not the guitar visionary like beck or hendrix. just my 2 cents.

  • yeah, im just rating them on who i like to listen to most, i love john mayers tone and style

  • mayer is good, but nowhere even close to the greats like srv, bb king, clapton and buddy guy.

  • + beck

  • If those 2 aren't nominees for a guitarist's Mount Rushmore, I don't know who is. Absolutely great.

  • Gimme some more

    GIMMEE SOME MORE!!

  • absolutely brilliant !!!! . anyone know what DVD this is from ? Gaun yersel Jeff

  • bb king live by request dvd

  • Jeff Beck knows it all.

  • My top 7 on the strings

    SRV

    Hendrix

    BB

    Clapton

    Santana

    Beck

    Buddy guy

  • ya rite srv best ever

  • Gotta put Johnny Winter in there somewhere

  • Good one. In fact I may have to bump put him in my number 4 slot....

  • who is guy at start hes gay [2] HAHAHAHAHA

  • Keep your poxy comments to yourself, wanker!

  • jeff beck at its best,b.b. king at his best!

  • so what do you guys want, every blues player sounding the same?

  • Bloody Awesome :)

  • BB is the great singer.

  • i love jeff beck's unique tone

  • dont leave bb hanging! LOL! great version to great guitar players what legends!

  • I try the same sting bends on my strat and the next thing I know is I'm headed down to the guitar shop to buy a new set. Jeff Beck is a Master.

    "IN BECK WE SHIBBY!"

  • Man, Beck is really the mad scientist. What imagination and what a truly innovative style. Blows my mind !!!

  • stop talking about things you dont know please

  • hes got powder all over his hands , like those weight lifter people . anyway does he usually play with his fingers or with a pick

  • He stopped using a pick back in the mid 80's.

  • I've never seen/heard Jeff live...so I just want to give my heart-felt thanks to the person who submitted these clips!

  • I saw Jeff Beck for the first time when he did this tour with BB King in 2003 (a tour I found out about watching this exact clip on TV shown on this video!), and he's a lot of fun to watch live. Not to the mention the most impressive command of the Strat I've ever seen!

  • BB King was very generous to let JB do most of the solos on this song. Classy.

  • who's he flickin off at 2:27 LOLOLOL

  • Rock me Jeffrey, play that white strat, all night long.

  • Jeff Beck is a living vibrato legend!!

  • fuck what is neck doing i dunno

  • Jeff Beck truly is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! That man is one of the absolute best guitarists that ever lived.

  • Is there a DVD or something this is on?

  • BB King Live by Request

  • Jeff Beck...WTF!!! Stop making noise with your strato...its killing this blues song

  • binzeiet, the only peron tht has to stop anything is you writing stupid comments! ;)

  • amen brother!

  • LOLZ. I feel sorry for you.

  • MacRaisen - in my humble opinion BB is in awe of Jeff Beck's guitar playin'. I've never seen him clap someone like that.

  • sometimes i think that bb likes jeff more than eric and then i think tha bb likes eric more than jeff.weird.

  • frank marinos version blows all who stands before him away

  • Well ...yes

  • 5 star performance..thanks for sharing the clip !!
