Meant to say that Celtic also blew it much earlier as by Christmas 1979 they were a full 10 pts in front of Dons( remember that 2 pts for a win so they were 5 full wins in front.) Celtic had 18 games remaining: they won only 7 whereas Aberdeen won 12 from their 18 after Christmas. THAT is how Celtic lost it!

Nice upload. But to say Celtic lost the lead on this result is wrong. They had 4 games remaining after losing 5-1 to Dundee.( but they beat Dundee again at dens 2 weeks later,2-0) The killer came on the Wedensday following this game when they lost 1-3 to Dons at Parkhead.They then traded results. In the last game, Celtic blew it by drawing 0-0 at Love st against St mirren. Aberdeen gubbed Hibs 5-0 at Easter road to take title with a game in hand.

Remember watching on Scotsport. i think Celtic hit the woodwork about 4 times. Was worried by the score as Dundee and Killie were battling it out to avoid the 2nd relegation spot at that time.
