Dark Watchers Fiction Fallout - Ambient Retro Sci-fi

I love this, but I have a question. The first instrument that plays, the very first sound we hear before it immediately gets lost in the rest of the music. A sort of hollow sound. I've heard it in a lot of different ambient pieces. What the hell is it? I can't find out anywhere, it's driving me crazy.

@JenniferRedmold Thanks! That hollow sound is a sound effect path on my Roland JV 2080. I've heard others like it, but I think generally if you hear that sound it's from a Roland synthesizer. Probably a 1080, or a 2080. Could probably find one cheap now. I paid a fortune for mine back in the day.

Great stuff! It reminds me of one of the soundtrack's from Bladerunner.

But, much more darker and slower tempo.
